January 31st 2025. 4 Plex residential apartment building. 2 of the 4 units effected by a clogged main sewer line (middle to the front of the property). It's an easily accessible main cleanout that should have only taken a few minutes to clear but instead became a "cash cow" job with an unlimited budget. The plumber assigned to the job, knew the assignment: "get as much $$$ as you can..." He started off reluctant on using a two way cleanout access to the main sewer line (I guess that was too easy). He acted like he didn't fully understand what it was. After clearing the"baby wipes" (Yes, "baby wipes" stuck in the main sewer line compliments of a tenant) he apparently re-accessed the situation and arbitrarily snaked out the tub in the middle unit that flushed the "baby wipes.". There was absolutely no reason to do that... wasteful unnecessary money grab in an obvious effort to "up the auntie" and "rack the till" a little bit more to justify $483. Additionally he suggested he might have to charge more money and snake out other access areas that had nothing to do with the clogged main sewer line. Plumber (possible con-artist) had complete control and free rein to do as much or less as he wanted to in slow mode. With clock ticking, no need to make the repair to quickly when you've got a customer on the ropes. Ordinarily I would never consider hiring a plumbing company, but unfortunately I had been sick for greater than 10+ days at the time with core temperature swings of as low as 91.5° to as high as 105.1°. I also spent a total of 3×s in and out of emergency over a period of about 7 days. Yes, many hours at emergency (minimum 8 hours for two non admission days) and including a 2 night admission (drinking bouillon soup). At time this plumber was on the property, I could barely stand or walk and I believe I was hallucinating too. I stayed inside my apartment the entire time of his visit. I have 30+ years of DYI plumbing and own thousands of dollars of tools to repair all plumbing issues in the building (and I'm very good at too). Unfortunately at time of "Slick Willie" plumber's arrival, I barely was able to get out of bed without stumbling all over the place and bouncing off the walls. This plumber took advantage of a very sick customer. In my opinion (lots of experience), he spent unnecessary amount of time on the property. 100% of the $483 was for labor. What labor? How in the world do you justify that? Nowhere on the invoice does the company break down the labor cost per hour (probably knowing none of it would add up). In hindsight, if my brain had been working and firing on all cylinders I would have given this guy a budget of say $200. Example: "You cannot exceed $200 in labor expenses." This guy just decided to just do his own thing, run his own show and upsell the invoice with a lot of idle time. Suggestion. If you should decide to hire this company, agree to an up front budget. Otherwise there's no boundaries with this plumber which I assume is a common teachable practice at this particular Adeedo location. Sloppy crooked management probably has everything to do with this more so than the actual plumber (probably gets pressured by management to do things like this). It feels like a shady operation. Hopefully other Adeedo locations are more honest. Again, best of luck with this company and keep my suggestion in mind about establishing a realistic budget. Because no way no how should a routine ordinary main sewer line that takes an ordinary plumber a few minutes to clear be able to "drum roll" to a final price point of $483. Fool me once, never twice. At 4:01 pm I received a message that the plumber Josh (Plumbing Supervisor) was 45 minutes away so I did not start dinner. I continued to wait for 3 hours until 7 pm. It was a NO SHOW! My family waited for nothing! Very unprofessional. Not acceptable. No excuses. BAD SERVICE. If the pluming supervisor can't get it together I definitely question the entire company! If I could put a negative # of stars, I would. Out of nowhere 3 days ago my kitchen sink would not drain. I tried plunging it but had no luck. Next I tried the old Baking soda plus vinegar solution followed by boiled water. Still no luck. Last ditch effort with Liquid Plumber. No luck. So yesterday I call this company with their $63 Drain Cleaning special and is if can't clear it, we won't charge you. The technician was very nice and polite. He said that he snaked the line 40 ft but the line would not clear. Then he crawled under my house and took some videos & pictures which supposedly showed some leaking pipes under my kitchen. He said that my pipes are old and are probably rusted on the inside and full of gunk and that the only solution is replacement. I asked if he would snake it again and he said he would. He called out his field supervisor who showed up a half hour later and declared that we needed to replace a section of pipe and gave me an estimate of $6700. I repeat $6700. So you know what I did next. I thanked them and said we would "sleep on it." The next day I made a couple of calls and managed to find the number of another plumber I had used many years before. Although he was not available, he referred me to someone else that came out today, snaked our line about 15-20 ft and cleared the line. He also went under the house and could not find any leaks under my kitchen or the adjacent bathroom. I have found my plumber for the rest of my life and it's not ADEEDO. I find this obvious attempt to UPSELL us on an unnecessary repair abhorrent and disgusting. Shame on you. read more

We've been customers since the days of Burbank Plumbing & Heating and have been happy with their work on many jobs. Unfortunately, they dropped the ball on a recent toilet estimate. The guy diagnosed the problem right away and gave me the name of a specialty store. He said he would provide an estimate. I posted a "thumbs down" six months ago. I was finally able to cancel my membership after several calls made to the company. I had the heating/AC tech (Devin, the tech I trusted) over and checked my AC system. I still trust him because he was honest and transparent. He talked me into giving Adeedo/Service of Champions another chance to join their membership and to make sure the right workers come to service my home needs. I joined again and paid for a year of membership instead of monthly fee. I have a low pressure water. Russell the plumber came. He had a little smirk on his face when I told him that the last plumber was going to make me pay over $1,700 for regulator I didn't need since it was new. And all I needed was a washer to replace the leaky faucet. Now this Russell put a bypass on my drinking water system from LifeSource Company and told me the machine was bad and he could sell me their equipment to solve the problem. It would cost me $6,200 and problem solved. I told him I'd contact LifeSource to check it out since it's under warranty. LifeSource tech came two days later and it turned out that my old regulator now actually needs to be replaced and VOILLA!!!! I have great water and it only costed me $495. Again Adeedo/Service of Champions plumber stokes again. I will not use their service for plumbing. I DO MOT TRUST their PLUMBERS. So now, what do I do? The membership gives you heating/AC maintenance service & plumbing service 2x a year but I CAN NOT let their plumbers come and try to "rob" me. It took almost a week without hot water for them to finally send out MIN and NICO, who were absolute life savers. Min came at night and figured out (quickly) what was needed, and Nico came the next day and fixed everything. Without them, the review would be much worse. Adeedont just dont. I had sewage backing out of the downstairs bathroom. they convinced me it was the line going out to the city and would be 9k. it has been over a week and they left my house in the condition in the attached photos. No contact or explanation for the last 2 days, except for their billing department demanding payment when my house looks like this. After starting the excavation, they then said there was a clog at the toilet area and would need another 6.5k with their sewer camera. this was entirely backwards, assuming it is even true. I just had them snake the toilet area to minimize my exposure to this company. They broke the gas line and water line. No explanation or discussion. I found out when gas company showed up at the house. I may have to pay the gas company too. read more

Their work, though pricey, is very good. The workers do neat work and never leave a mess. The front office on the other hand, or whoever it is that does the scheduling, is an absolute mess. We had workers here on Wednesday to replace some drain pipes and what not; they said they would be back the next morning to finish up. The next day nobody showed up so I called their office. They said that they had to pull a building permit and they would show up on Monday to complete the job. On Saturday workers showed up, unannounced, to continue work. No communication on this, no nothing. An inspector is (allegedly) coming on Monday to sign off on the work, yet there's still a riser pipe that hasn't even been glued and where I used to have a pop-up in the front yard there's only a threaded plug and nobody knows what happened to the pop-up. I've had past repair work done by this company that had similar results; a worker would knock at the door to complete something that had already been done by someone else the previous day. These guys are good, and very professional. I called to snake a drain that was slow after receiving their $53 drain cleaning and inspection coupon in the mail. Effren took one look at my drain and told me it didn't need to be snaked; the stopper just needed to be adjusted. He reached under the drain, adjusted the stopper, and presto it was clear! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! These people are scumbags who tried to take advantage of my mother. She is a senior citizen who lives alone, very kind and trusting. A prime target for scammers like these jerks who tried to rip her off in a big way! She called them for a toilet problem and was told the toilet would need to be replaced. They made her sign a contract obligating her to have them do this work. For $1600! That is outrageous for such a quick, simple job. But it gets worse. They ran a camera through the pipes and had someone go under the house. They ended up telling her there were leaking and cracked pipes and a smell of gas. They told her all of the gas lines in the house would need to be replaced. For $22000!!! Thank God that large of a number scared her enough to call me and we were able to tell her to get rid of them. We arranged for a second opinion and even went under the house ourselves to check on the smell of gas. There was no smell of gas and after having someone else look at it, they found no leaks, no cracked pipes, and no smell of gas. They flat out LIED to my mom and tried to get THOUSANDS of dollars out of her for work that was not needed. I don't know how they sleep at night, preying on senior citizens like this. I've been a Abeedo/JW member for about 2 or 3 years now and have home repair projects through them over the past few years. They are always basically on the higher end of costs to do projects (even with the discount you get from being a member), but the quality you get is absolutely unparalleled to anywhere else. They 100% ensure that things are done right and don't leave until the job is done. These guys are a team. Joseph comes out, reviews everything and gets a quote. Efrain comes out to evaluate/affirm Josesph's estimates, sign the contract and manage the laborers. And if they get stuck on a problem (plumbing) - they have this big hitter, Kyle, who just shows up and knows how to fix it. They just finished a project for me yesterday. They installed a reverse osmosis water filter, pressure regulator with new ball valve, removed a corroded cast iron main line and replaced a laundry line to with 1.5" & crap slope to 2" with proper slope. On the finishing checkup, Efren came in klutch when he told me to let the filter fill up after an once they fill up let it complete drain for approximately 15 mins and let the filter fill up again. I literally didn't have to do anything, I was able to work through with the 2 day project even though my home office is right next to the kitchen. The install instructions for the water filter (that I had bought) skipped an important step for a proper install. And the whole crew basically showed up at the end of the day to help figure it out (see pic). And of course they did. They're reputation is super important to them and they have a heavy focus on making sure you're happy. You pay what you get for... And they gave me a great warranty, so 5 / 5 for quality. read more

I received a response from Adeedo to replace my water heater and I called to schedule a same day appointment with a two hour window. They called an hour into the window to say that a driver was on the way. An hour later I call and still no one knows how long he will be. Driver never shows up. This is very unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. However this was all about trial and error so if you can I would definitely explore other options before choosing Adeedo. Customer service didn't even care that the driver didn't show up. She was eagerly ready to "cancel" the appointment. I like that Adeedo will always send someone different if the first technician does not deliver. Yoni Vasquez came out and provided great service at a great price. I called another plumber and he charged me $300 and fixed the problem within 1 hour. 2nd time tried to give them another chance and they wanted $650 to send a camera into the pipes.
