AdeeDONT! Service Champions of Price Gouging! You need to read this. Take the time and make your decision wisely. You may not believe this but it's all true. Rating of "Not good" is an understatement. Leaking pipe in my attic. I had to shut off water of course. Had used JW Heating and Air for a big job A/C job and these folks are part of the same company, Service Champions . JW did a great job at what was a high but within reason price. Since happy with work JW did, they referred me to Adeedo. Adeedo came out fast... great. Guy spent 30 minutes looking at the situation. Went out side, away from me and called his "boss" to get me a price. He comes back with a price of $5300 to repair a leaking copper pipe! Says they need to cut hole in ceiling drywall to get to it so it includes that and repair of drywall. I question the very high price but since I have no water and a mess I agreed to it. I thought this was going to be a big job with tricky access with replacement of a lot of pipe and a couple of worker. Well the first guy leaves and an hour later one new guy shows up. He works for exactly 2.5 hours and completes the job per my wife. When I get home that night I look in the hole and see he replaced just over 1 foot of copper pipe! Not such a big job at all! So I got seriously ripped off! How can 2.5 hours of work and a $20 dollar piece of pipe cost $5300 to do? Thats like $2000 per HOUR!. I then google what this repair should cost. AI google says between $350 and $850! Then the next day my AAA homeowners insurance adjuster comes over to inspect. Tells me I need water/mold mitigation that they pay for. But they dont pay for repairing the broken pipe. I then tell her how much I was charged for this repair and her mouth hit the floor! She couldn't believe it was that much. She said thats not right. Then the water mitigation people they use came over. Two different companies. One to test and one to dry. Each one also could not believe how much I was charged when I told them. They said maybe they just put the decimal point in the wrong place on the price and it should have been $530 which is normal for this type of job. So now I know I was seriously taken advantage of. I call Adeedo. This was on Friday afternoon. I tell her I am really upset about this and I am hoping this "price" was a mistake and I want the price adjusted to a normal level. Im even ok to pay on the high end of normal since I know they are big company. I told her that if they are not going to properly adjust my pricing my negative reviews would be forthcoming. Price gouging and more. I will also report them to the state and other consumer organizations. She says she will have a manager call me back. No one calls. I call back on monday and speak to a person. She says someone will call me. No one calls. I call back again, no return. Then a third time I call (thursday) a manager calls me back. He is polite and trys to justify the charge. I give him the info I just gave you. He puts me on hold to say he will look to see about "reclassifying" the job since it seems smaller than what I was charged. He also tells me they dont price by the hour, only the total job and that where I live or my age ( I'm a senior) has nothing to do with it. Right. He comes back to say he will lower the price to $1700. I say that still seems like double the high end and he says thats the best he can do. So I reluctantly pay it. Then here is the kicker. AAA says they will actually reimburse me for just the cost to "open up the ceiling" to access the pipe. But they need a cost from Adeedo that is specific to just that portion of the job . Adeedo manager tells me they do NOT break out specific parts/costs on a job so cant provide that info. Really! You're kidding right? What are they afraid of? So now they are preventing me from getting some of their overly high costs paid for by my homeowners insurance. My AAA insurance agent was again in disbelief and appolgized to me about this. So here is the thing... Adeedo clearly tried to take advantage of me and my "emergency" situation. I'm sure Im NOT THE ONLY ONE they are doing this too. This is unscrupulous and the sign of a dishonest company. The fact that they wont even provide the info to my insurance company that is needed is just wrong. This practice should be illegal! So I dont know if this BIG company gives a crap about my bad review and me telling lots of people about how they work. You would certainly like to think they do care and would want to make this right and appologize to me. But I can tell you I am going to warn as many people as I possibly can about how this company operates. Make up your own mind. There are plenty of really great independent business who operate fairly and do great work. Clearly these guys are at the bottom of the pile in a dark place. Say it with me... AdeeDONT! Water heater service not completed because isolation valves were not fitted and access was not straight forward. It has been serviced every other year by another company. Access was then not a problem if we wanted to pay $700 for them to install isolation valves. I fitted them myself for $50. HVAC service appointment was a no show. Since they phoned to schedule the appointment it was odd they then had no record of it. Pretty sure you get what you pay for here. It's cheap for a reason. read more

Was quoted a pretty high price for some basic plumbing repairs (sealing a couple toilets, swapping a shower fixture, and replacing a few pipe/fittings that were not to code). When I asked what was driving the cost I was told that the fittings that needed to be replaced under two vanities would require "a lot of work" to cut into the vanities themselves to allow for the proper hardware. Turned out exactly zero cutting was ultimately done/required but they still processed payment for the full amount of the estimate. Absolute rip-off. read more

The morning started with water building up in my ceiling (a bathroom on top of a living room in a two-story home), which I first saw at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday morning. Thinking about any professional plumbing service that would come to mind, I called Adeedo (for whatever reason it came up later as JW Heating and Air) at about 7 a.m. They said they would have a plumber out between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. There was no mention of a service charge. The plumber arrived. I never got a call when the plumber arrived, but a Text message, with an agent asking if I can let them. I told them I never got a call. They said they called. I later found that AT&T, my cellphone provider, listed them as spam. That should have been a sign. I went outside to greet the plumber and let him in. He looked at the ceiling, sagging with water and all, and said that it would be a $250 service charge...which would be dropped if I went with their service. I had an emergency service needed, and I didn't have time or the patience to think about the ridiculous service charge, or their failure to mention it--I maybe would have called Downey Plumbing or another reputable plumber instead with a less steep cost of entry. Whatever. The plumber set up his ladder and cleaning area, and knocks a hole in the sagging ceiling, water spills out. He proceeds to knock a bigger hole in the wall so he could look into the ceiling. Reasonable. He peeps his head into the newfound hole in the ceiling and says my drainage pipe is busted and the wood is ruined. And they would need to tear out the ceiling and wall. And proceeded to tell me about two options. One for $8,000 and another for $13,000. I said "you can see all that damage from up there?" he assured me that was the case, and asked if I would like to start service. I told him I'd think it over. I told him I'd pay the service charge. He started to open up the camera app on his phone and said he will charge me later. I demanded he charge me now because I didn't feel comfortable with him having a picture on my credit card on my phone. He charged my card, took his ladder and left. I took my ladder and flashlight from my garage, which he obviously didn't know I had, and looked up there. I could not see a single pipe in there. I called a local plumber friend who was available much later because the water leak seemed to have stopped earlier. After some troubleshooting, and him confirming there was no drainage pipe in my ceiling, we found that the water spout in my bathroom was leaking into the wall. It just needed to be replaced. at $40 tip (even less with a lower quality spout). I would in no way recommended this company. The consultant they sent out, who was unable to do more work than to just break open a ceiling, lied. I will never hire Adeedo or any of their affiliates for any work for my house ever. I understand that bigger plumbers have a higher cost, but lying about damage to get $8,000 or $13,000 in work is ridiculous. And if you do go with this company, I'd suggest at the minimum to get a second opinion to ensure the damage they talked about is legitimate. read more

I was really impressed with the sincere and respectful manner they presented themselves. They were cheerful and humble as they worked with me to get the job the way I wanted it done. They were also very professional and knowledgeable. They always put covers over their shoes when they entered my house and made sure to put down a tarp to prevent any dirt from following them. The work that ad did was really clean and expertly performed. I have a monthly contract with them so I was able to get a discount on the job. Still I was surprised with how fast they work. I have a one bathroom house so when they disconnected my drain system and my water it was only for 3 hours. I thought it was reasonable. Special thanks to Ramon Cancino for his expert supervision of his crew. He was particularly helpful in explaining what should be done and presented options for me. This made it easier for me to decide the pros and cons. He gave me options on what I could do and what it would cost me. I very much appreciate it his low pressure let the customer decide attitude. I found the service to be responsive, quick, professional and kind. There are some great specials on the Adeedo website, so when we had a sink clog that we could not resolve on our own (and we are pretty savvy), we decided to give them a try. The servicemen were Yony and Omar and they were excellent. Yony cleared out clog from the sink line, then they ran a camera into the main sewer line at no extra charge and found a bigger problem: a clog in the main sewer line about 5' from the clean out. They did not push us to fix it right away, but said we will likely continue to have plumbing issues if not resolved. They will send us a full report with an estimate. I almost fell for it ..... I called Service Champions who I have used in the past. Instead, Adeedo showed up. I called initially for a clogged toilet. When the tech showed up I explained the problem. I asked him to use his snake and he said no, he couldn't do that. What??? Are you a plumber? He pulled off the screen from my crawl space, told me that I had a crack in a pipe, water under the house. He said he didn't have a camera with him but would come back the next day with a supervisor who has the camera. The two came back the next day, looked under the house and said yep, you've got a cracked pipe. There were no pictures taken, no images with the "special" camera that the supervisor carries. Just a quote for $14,000 for a cast iron line that they said needed to be replaced. I got a second opinion from an independent plumber assigned by my home warranty company. There is no crack in my pipe. No standing water under my house like I was told. A quick adjustment of my toilet and the problem was solved. The tech and supervisor were very nice, great talkers and used fear to almost get me to commit to ac$14k repair. Be careful. Always get a second opinion. read more

We requested a service to fix a solenoid and repair three PVC small pipes in our backyard. The service charged a $69 charge to come to the house to review it. When they provided an "estimate", it was over $8000, which was 7 times more what I had someone else fix it. Worse, they charged the $69 for their "fee" for offering an outrageous cost.
