I have often called Willy's Plumbing when I've had a problem and regret that I am just getting around to writing a review. As a senior woman I have heard of many cases when plumbers have tried to take advantage of a situation and blown it out of proportion and given an outrageous price to repair the problem. I have had 3 or 4 of their technicians out (the latest this morning with a plugged shower drain) and without exception they have been professional, kind, and fixed the problem in a timely manner. The response time to my initial inquiry, which was provided via voicemail, made a great first impression. The normal hours are from 8am to 4pm so I wasn't able to speak to anyone directly because the backed up main for the house didn't reveal itself until 7pm. Although I didn't utilize the emergency number, I'm glad that the option for it is available. This morning I received a call back around 7:30am and was provided an eta of 30 minutes. I might be making this up, but it seemed like work had commenced at 8:01am! I value my time, especially when doodoo is backing up into my shower floor, so details like that speak volumes. Willy's service was efficient, affordable, and friendly! I called in for help with hooking up my gas grill to the gas line with a turn off and turn on valve. I had another quote from a company with far more reviews than Willy's but it was so expensive and also the valve was going to be very bulky, which I didn't want. Willy's offered and fulfilled the service for a reasonable price (way below the other offering). The plumber even helped take a look at a somewhat clogged shower head in my master restroom as well for no extra fee. I called a few plumbers to get an estimate for moving a tub drain and relocating a toilet in our master bath. He was one of four plumbers to come out and give an estimate. Willy's Plumbing came out and gave a detailed estimate of what would be involved with the work and how much effort it would be to do the project. He came to do the work within a few days and spent all day moving the toilet and tub drain. He was very professional and took proper precautions to make sure the work area was clean and tidied up before he left. The work came out great. I called him a few days later to help with another issue in the second bathroom. He came out on a Saturday and helped diagnose the problem. I had heard of Willy's Plumbing from a neighbor. I'm so glad I was able to call them. In retrospect, I realize now why I held off on calling another plumber. I've had some bad experiences in the past 1 - 2 years. Quotes were high & complicated or just given bad service with high prices. I had to report one vendor to the licensing board for contractors. But recently, I was desperate. I had both showers & bath tub diverters and other plumbing not working. I called them early in the morning. They were able to send someone out that day within their given time slot. And the work was done so well. I thought I'd have to go buy all new parts. Carlos was efficient and had any parts needed in his truck. He knew what he was doing. I was so happy. And the cost was very reasonable. I was so happy. They followed up on their promise to reimburse me for the other plumber's visit. Times have been difficult for some people so I understand that perhaps my interactions with them was during a difficult time. By speaking with them, hearing their side, and having them reimburse me, they did exactly what I believe a 5-star business should do. I wish I could give a good review because the guy came on time and was really really nice, but his work was just plain incompetent. I had a leak in my shower/tub. He spent a couple of hours trying to fix it, ended up telling me that they'd have to come back another time and open the wall. In the interim he put together a Rube Goldberg setup with top and bottom valves. I tried it after he left and water sprayed everywhere...totally leaky. When my regular contractor finally was able to come over, he was horrified at what this plumber had done, including apparently breaking a valve and leaving it in the wall. Just a travesty...and not cheap. My regular guy fixed the problem in less than an hour, without breaking open the wall. I will never ever use Willy's Plumbing again. read more

We had scheduled time for a plumber to come out yesterday, but I completely forgot. Willy's rescheduled for today and was quick to have someone out to fix our leaking toilet. Hand's down, the best plumber we have ever used. We called in other plumbers to snake a blocked line and were told they could not do it. The reasons given included not having a long enough snake and the pipes being bent. Willy's not only had a 25 foot snake, but cut the pipes, did the unblocking and installed a clean-out for easy future access. Oh, and they also moved a socket under our kitchen sink higher so it was not dangerous. Call Willy's before you call anyone else. read more

As the President of the HOA of my building, having access to awesome maintenance companies who I can trust makes my life so much easier. For the past decade-ish, this is the only plumber we have used - because they are consistently reliable and capable! Alicia is the sweetest lady ever - she runs the show so I usually speak to her when I call. Her bright voice is always cheery and friendly, and she gets her workers out to us super fast! She's great at keeping me informed if I can't be around when they arrive too. (We've known this company so long that they have access keys to all the major areas of the building.) Communication between everyone here even satisfies my super high standards. Willy himself answered my emergency phone call one weekend years ago - even when he was at an out-of-town company retreat! HIS company retreat! Over the years, they've installed and earthquake-proof strapped a hot water heater, fixed multiple leaks in our common areas and within specific units, replaced shower and sink fixtures, and even re-piped portions of the building. I would not be leaving this review for them had it not been for Tyler, the plumber that was dispatched to address an issue we had last Friday evening. Our kitchen sink developed a clog, somewhat of an ongoing issue since my girlfriend moved into the unit... but I digress. Typically I am able to get most backups cleared, but on this particular occasion a drain snake was required. Tyler arrived and exhibited the utmost professionalism from start to finish. He was courteous, respectful, and listened to our situation completely before starting a diagnosis. His work ethic was methodic, and he paid very close attention to maintaining a clean environment around himself as well as the working area. Having had a retail business for nearly 20 years, I am fully aware what impact "frontline" employees have for a business' reputation. Had a leaky kitchen sink and faucet, so I gave them a call based on their location and previous Yelp reviews. They got out here really quickly and performed the work with speed, cleanliness, and competence. My only slight issue was that the replacement drain didn't take the existing plug, but as soon as it was pointed out, they went to the truck, got a replacement strainer/plug and resolved the issue on the spot.
