I didn't know I needed some Adelita's in my life until I had some Adelita's. Now that I've had it I may just be addicted. Adelita's is a little Mexican ice cream and popsicle shop in Lebanon and is indeed a hidden gem. They also sell aqua frescas and milkshakes. The interior is colorful and bright. They have a handwritten menu of their flavors, which are mostly fruit- based but vary. They weren't quite a 5-star experience due to a couple factors but overall it was a great experience! Pros: -Cheap! Prices are really reasonable -Staff were incredibly nice -Great flavors. I got a strawberry popsicle and a pint of their cookie ice cream (oreos) to-go Cons: -Cash only policy. I don't know anyone who carries around cash these days but I suppose I can make an exception -No samples...c'mon this is the best part of an ice cream place is trying everything that looks good! Thank you to whomever Adelita is, you made my day. I enjoyed this experience a lot. read more

I think I have finally found my favorite ice cream joint! Yes I do have to drive 30 min to get here from home but it is so worth it. I found this little gem by accident. I wanted to try "Taters" the little restaurant next door. Happened to look this place up and it had 5 stars. Decided to give it a try! I got the guava ice cream which was amazing! It wasn't too sweet, you could taste the guava fruit. Didn't seem to be artificially flavored! It truly hit the spot! They have lots of choices in ice cream and popsicles. Remember it is CASH ONLY. And NO SMAPLES! I was a little bummed about the no sample policy but someone told me I can't wrong with any flavor and I loved the guava flavor I picked. The BEST ICE CREAM in town!!! Stumbled on this place while waiting for my food next door and it was a total gem my fiancée and I stumbled into. Nice Mexican lady owns this place. If you ask her about her shop you can see her light up with pride talking about her work and what it takes to make ice cream they carry and the various flavors. All the ice cream is homemade, which shocked me. Not sure if knowing that made the ice cream taste better or if the ice cream is just that much superior than Baskin Robins? Either way, this is our guilty pleasure. Place is incredibly clean, which one reviewer wrote, this shows they take pride in their establishment. I strongly agree. The variety of flavors is incredible. I haven't had them all but the ones I have are just delicious. There is no right or wrong answer to what flavor you should pick, they're all uniquely rich and tasty. Please give them a shot if you love ice cream. read more

There are several different options if you don't want ice cream including Mexican popsicles, fruit water, fruit sorbet and more, all of which are on point with their flavors. This is, hands-down, the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. Everything is handmade, and fresh. It's a quiet, little shop off of the highway near the town square. You'd only expect maybe a few generic flavors- but you'd be wrong (I was)! So many different flavors, from vanilla and chocolate, all the way to guava, rice(!),and corn (stupid delicious)! Yes, they only take cash (which is a bit of a bummer since I don't carry cash); but anytime I roll into town, I make sure to have a little bit to grab two scoops of that delicious ice cream. Big tip: the flavors that sound weird at first. Those are the best ones! (Corn and cheese were sooo good!) read more

I have really enjoyed Adelita's ice cream. When I arrived, I walked in expecting poor flavors and not a lot of business. But, as I looked around, I realized that this cute and colorful shop is one yummy secret. As I picked caramel ice cream I could see the gooeyness of the still soft caramel mixed into the vanilla ice cream. Adelita's has many interesting flavors like sweet corn and the rice flavor but they have old favorites with new twist like mint -oreo and strawberry milk and as tons of people were walking in I realized that this one of a kind ice cream shop is something that all people should know about and love so I give Adelita's five stars for there yummy, homemade ice cream! read more

All her ice cream is great. I absolutely love it. I've seen in reviews questions about the no sample and cash only policy and I got answers. No sample- Some people would try samples and then leave. They wouldn't buy. She said that she either served samples and raised prices or not give samples and keep them low. Honestly to be homemade they would usually be pricey but she keeps them low. Cash only- it makes it easier for her that way. Because to install a card system you have to pay a certain amount to use card. For example speedy burrito you can pay with card if it's $5 or more. But since she has low prices she doesn't want to go to those lengths. But other than that, like I said before, her ice cream is great. It has a rich flavor that you can't find in a lot of place (ice cream shops). read more

I'm familiar with Mexican ice cream so I was delighted to see this in Lebanon. Service was prompt and professional. You can try any flavor ice cream that peaks your interest. Don't frown upon the avocado ice cream--that concoction is delicious! I did opt for the pistachio because unlike some chains, they actually have a bunch of pistachios in the ice cream. This location also serves up hot snacks and sandwiches, including elotes If you're up for some different ice cream flavors, and cool snacks, I highly recommend this place.

Apparently, not all the best bakeries lie within the big city after all. About 25 minutes out of downtown Nashville lying on the western periphery of Mount Juliet, BRIÒ makes a stunning array of Italian treats. Cannoli, gelato, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, sandwiches, you name it! Their gelato game is very strong! In fact, it's the highest rated gelateria on the entirety of Highway 70, one of America's longest roads that spans the country from Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. With all that fanfare and these tremendous online ratings, I eagerly anticipated my visit. The mint gelato was tasty, maybe a little too minty for my preference despite my obsession with this flavor, but still delicious. However, it was the caramel pecan cheesecake that blew my mind! This is one of the greatest desserts in Middle Tennessee, properly firm cheesecake topped with candied pecans in a beautiful caramel sauce that accentuates every bite. This is life changing stuff!
