Walked into store to exchange an item...stood where 2 employees were just chatting and not taking care of customers...then went to the check out line where one person by register was chatting with a register staff who was taking care of a customer. Once she was done both continued chatting with each other disregarding the fact I was waiting. No managers taking care of their employees as they are just standing around not working. 4 employees just socializing. This is the worst service I've seen!!!!! read more

I was 2 months late in the return policy returning a Christmas present I gave my hubby and they would only give $50 credit when the same shirt is on the rack for $100 - an Inter Miami shirt . After the holidays, we were all left a bit sick with all the food we had practically inhaled. My family and I were carrying around an extra 5 pounds each. We decided to begin shopping for a treadmill for home use-online and found most of the equipment to be really expensive - ranging from 1700 to a whopping 6,000. We decided to go to a few of the shops around town and ended up going to Dick's Sporting Goods in Kendall on Mills Drive. We were able to find an excellent treadmill. It was the last one in the show room, so the sales associate told us he would see if he could sell It at a discount. His name was Cody and we all thought he was very patient, knowledgeable and professional. It was a pleasure to go to a store where the customer feels their business is appreciated! Cody patiently explained the features of each machine and allowed us to try each one. He was very helpful. Even though the sporting goods is a bit expensive, we are looking forward to coming because of the service. It is definitely a place I would recommend for sports items. We are very excited about the unit that we purchased and are looking forward to exercising at home and shedding the holiday weight. I was in a rush to find a last minute gift for my sport enthusiast brother in law and just when I found the perfect shirt, i couldn't find the right size. It was about 20 minutes till closing and I was freaking out looking all over the store for possibly another size of this shirt. Cesar noticed me and checked on their app for the size, it did not show a small but he did know that a truck just came in that day so there was a chance. I come here rather often actually, looking for summer swim shirts or sports wear. The store is always clean and organized. There is usually staff around to ask if you have any questions. I love the Calia by Carrie Underwood line. Her sports bras are THE BEST!! I come here just for that alone. The store is also super close to my house- just a quick five minute drive, so it's very convenient. My only gripe are the prices. They are really quite ridiculous. I feel like everything is at least $50 and higher. Even the clearance rack is still expensive. There are not many deals to be found here. I came by Dicks Sporting Goods about a month ago. I was looking to buy some winter clothing for a trip I was going to make to Fort Wayne/Van Wert. It was going to be very cold and I wanted to have it as I was at the time going up there for a job interview/looking for a house to buy up there. I wanted to buy a pair of gym shoes for training and working out, so I came here. Buying gym shoes is much more dependent on a good salesperson than other purchases. I wanted to find the right shoe for me. The salesperson I got was a young woman who seemed intent on talking in model numbers so that I couldn't understand what she was saying or what shoe was right for me. And she was waiting on multiple people at a time so I left without buying anything. A total frustrating waste of time. I'll never go back. read more

The worst DICK's I've ever been to. Went in for a gait analysis and no one in the store had any idea of what that even meant. Even when I pointed to their in-store sign, advertising gait analysis, they were lost. Lots of staff on the floor, but none were helpful when asking the simplest questions. But the staff is friendly and I like the extra "push" for using hand sanitizer at the entrance. Ironically, with such strict provisions in place for customers, management should encourage the staff to cover their noses with their masks as well. The young girl who rang up my purchases wore her mask over her mouth only...as did the girl who rang us up last week. Terrible pick up! This place offers pick up service. They shouldn't. They don't have anyone there and they don't care. They also brought out a defective ball. I went to my car my husband noticed it and we go back in to the store and they don't really understand I need to just swap out a ball that they handed me defectively! They were all talking or like if they were on something- it's like I was talking to a wall. I need to swap out a ball that you guys gave to me defectively after you made me wait for your "quick pick up service" that you supposedly have. I wouldn't have been this upset but they made a process that's supposed to be of convenience completely inconvenient. They should have someone look into that. read more

I'm not a sporty kinda girl at all but being that my BF is a true fisherman, he loves gettung supplies from here. On this day he wanted some fishing hats and shirts. While he went to look for that I roamed the store. They had so much atheltic wear and even nice options on the clearnace rack. I found a pair of joggers for under $20 and couldn't resist that price. I looked at their sneaker options and likes what I saw but it was a bit pricey since I'm more of a sandals girl but they had nice options with the latest trends. When I finally ventured into the fishing section I saw some nice ugly sticks (fishing rods) and colorful and sparkly lurers. Lots of fish I can cat h with that but I'll leave the fishing to him, I'm sometimes impatient. They had alot of sporting equipment, weights, bikes, and different sporting balls, and even thermos. If your into sports activities I think this place is okay, just be prepared to come out your pocket some because some of their pricing were somewhat high. After HE found 2 shirts, a hat and $60 later we were off on our next adventure. Similar to Sports Authority. This location is very disorganized in the sneaker section. It took us a while to find an employe to assist in locating sneaker boxes. The employee herself tried to help, but the sneaker boxes were placed in an disorganized manner. I like the decor and feel of the store, just wish there were more sales, more staff in the floor, and more organization. read more

Very disorganized clothing sections. As with most stores the hangers show the size that should reflect the clothes. 80% minimum of the hangers on the men's shirts and shorts at least do not match the actual clothes sizes. Then to make things worse. In many cases there are security tags on the clothes that obstruct the view of the tags on the backs of the shirts or shorts. Just tried to pass by so I could take a quick look, but required too much time so I left. The store was empty and this doesn't seem like a result of Covid. I gave 3 stars because overall the store seems clean and the other areas like weights and such are neat. I might buy equipment from there one day but doubt I'll give clothes another chance. read more

Horrible experience every step of the way after they took my money online. Bike was not ready for pick up, even after getting an email stating to come and grab it the day I ordered it. I got the bike 6 days later (today) I had to do all the follow up. Three phone calls to the store because I was told three times someone would call me the next day once the bike was built. I never heard from anyone at the store any of those times. In fact over the three calls I talked to 7 different employees, with an average call time of 12 minutes. No one knew if the bike had been built and some could not even find the bike. A complete customer service failure. I also wrote an email to Dicks customer care about this issue and still to this day have not gotten any response. To me this shows even at the top corporate level customers are not the priority. If a product is purchased online and says it is available, it should be available. If an email is sent stating to pick up your product, your product should be ready to be picked up. I'm extremely disappointed with the integrity of the online process, the continued lack of follow up by all levels of in store employees, and the firm impression that customer's concerns mean nothing at the store or corporate level. This purchase was suppose to be fun and a gift to myself. However, it was far from fun and will absolutely be my last purchase from DSG. Once a loyal customer is now gone. Is there anyway to give no stars? I placed an order with Dicks. I was assured that the items would be delivered yesterday. I received half. The other half now won't be delivered for another 3 weeks. This is unacceptable. The gift will arrive too late. They would not cancel the order or send it to another address "it is locked". The gift will come to me 3 weeks late and I should return it to the store or by fedex. Why is this up to the customer? A simple cancellation would do or mail to the gift recipient. This particular store has many sports goods at decent prices. You do pay for what quality you want. Unfortunately, the customer service at this store is incompetent. Every time I come into this store there are only 2 open cashier registers. I've come at different times and days and it's always the same problem. There is literally a huge line just to pay and to exchange items. They should have separate lines. In one incident, I waited 20 minutes just to pay for one basketball. Also, each cashier register take forever just to scan your items and allow you to pay. There is never any manager in clear sight or anyone willing to help you find a specific item. They should really hire more employees. I suggest you buy your goods online or at a local Walmart/Target. read more

I could buy sporting equipment anywhere I came here for convenience and customer service which I never get. When I went to pay for the used disc that I purchased because the other three were broken or damaged on the rack I ask the cashier if there is any way to request for a restock or a larger variety in disc golf discs being that they were 30 drivers 3-4 mid-range and 7 putters in the disorganized and neglected section of the store, the disc golf section. The reason of this review is here is because her response was of equal measure. "What's there is there! You cannot request anything!" As a man is leaving the store with a kayak he just bought online from them....it's not the way she said it it's the the fact that she said it that way and didn't want to suggest or help with another option or allow me to speak with someone who knew, with authority. But w.e dumb bitch can act the way she wants and the manager can continue to wonder why people shop online versus convenience of today and knowledgeable, helpful staff.
