Was visiting Atlanta and a friend happened across this place on Yelp (where else). We stopped in on a Friday between 11:30 and noon, planning on having brunch but being given a lunch menu instead. No matter. I would have loved to try their brunch/breakfast selection (all these photos look amazing) but all four in my party were happy with their food. I got the lunch burrito (a smaller portion, but I still didn't finish the whole thing) and tortilla soup. Being based in Los Angeles, I have to say that this was not the best Mexican food I've ever had. Tasty enough, but I what really liked about this place is the environment. Huevos divorciados are 2 sunny side up eggs on a handmade tortilla covered in green sauce on one half and red sauce on the other. Red sauce taste is in between mole & recado for tamales. I gave it three stars because the customer service was good and I really liked the rosemary potatoes and the Chocolate Mexicana was good, it's just the Chocolate was a bit too strong. The Mexican Eggs Benedict weren't good. The Masa Cakes were soggy and oily, the eggs were really running ( I like them when just the yellow runs not the white too) and my bacon wasn't crispy...it was a little rubbery (maybe I had to say I wanted it crispy). Oh my, if you like heat, this is the place to be! Unlike many adjacent areas, parking is plentiful, and the ambience is interesting indoors, with a scattering of long tables and high backed booths. There is a shop adjacent if you feel like shopping after (or before) eating. I was blown away by their Mayan Mocha, I told them I like it spicy and I got it spicy! Just the right amount of sweet and hot, I know I'll be back for more. I had their take on eggs benedict and it was interesting particularly the corn cake base. The salsa and side sauces were nothing to write home about, but that mocha...mmm, I am not sure if I can go a full 24 hours without another one of those. read more

The Mexican Mayan Mocha coffee with chili was different and quite good. Although, with the strong chili and chocolate flavors, you really can only have that by itself. The menu sounded great, but didn't deliver in execution. The Adios breakfast was supposed to be a chorizo potato cake over black beans. We didn't discern any chorizo and the beans were totally boring. Similarly, the quesadilla de huevo was also supposed to include chorizo, but that wasn't noticed either. I came to this place for the Tres Leche Cake. The cashier took my order then kept flipping my credit card around as if something was wrong with it which was very rude. After placing my order it took 15 minutes to slice me a pice of cake and they only did it after I reminded her that I was waiting for the cake. She then handed me the bag turned around and walked off. Which was poor customer service. For $8 the slice was way to small, and then it tasted like old refrigerator. I will not return. read more

Came here for chocolate truffles, ice cream and hot chocolate. It was pretty good, but I still think its overpriced for what you get. The hot mexican chocolate definitely had some kick to it. Enough for me to find it enjoyable, but my very sensitive taste bud friend thought it was too spicy. The chocolates here are amazing. I basically managed to try every. My favorites are the Chipotle Chocolates and the Cinnamon Chocolates. They provide a contrasting spiciness to the dark chocolate without overwhelming it. The Mango ice cream was pretty good. Homemade, not too sweet, and it had enough tartness, which I think most places don't have. The Chocolate ice cream was a winner. Dark chocolate which was smooth and packed plenty of flavor. My friend's ice cream cake was truly a disappointment. It was definitely not fresh and had a weird aftertaste. And he paid 4 dollars for a small slice. Oh well. In the end, the stuff here is ok to good, but the prices here are too expensive for what you're getting in my opinion. read more

It doesn't come with anything so I ordered a biscuit as a side. Took more than 30 minutes from ordering for food to arrive. The bacon was rubbery and there was actually too much avocado. Needed a lot of hot sauce to add flavor. If you are looking for a nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, this place is perfect. The food, you can definitely do better. I came in early around 8:30am last Sunday and had Leah for my server. Extremely nice lady who said she that it was her first day; we made good conversation. I tried the breakfast quesadilla and it was very good! The decor and ambience in this place is very nice and well decorated. The coffee was delicious and I was able to use the Yelp coupon which allows you to unlock a free organic coffee. When I did the payment, my server forgot to discount the coffee but it was no problem since she was able to fix it. WOW -- what an all-around wonderful experience. For context: ADios Cafe is the breakfast/brunch restaurant within No Más Cantina and Hacienda. Everything we ordered for brunch was fantastic, from the Mexican hot chocolate and coffee spiced with cinnamon and chile de arbol, to the fresh mango nectar juice, to the Huevos Divorciados and bread pudding French toast with apples and raisins. We had fantastic service from Bri. Then add the setting -- a beautiful but small breakfast sitting area with high, dramatic ceilings. Adjacent to the breakfast cafe is the No Más Hacienda, where owner Walt curates the entire artisan market and gallery with handmade crafts imported directly from Mexico. He showed us around the store and was able to tell us in-depth anecdotes and stories about each local Mexican family who produced the craft, and even pulled up pictures on his phone. It is rare to experience such tangible passion, care and dedication from a store owner, and it is so clear that they extend these qualities not only to their customers, but to each of their unique suppliers. Don't pass up this unique crazy-wonderful Mexican restaurant. With our two creatively prepared breakfast selections we enjoyed a mango mimosa and some of the best Mexican hot chocolate we've ever tasted. The owners were breakfasting while we were there and we had a chance to speak with one of them. They travel through Mexico selecting classy items to decorate the restaurant and sell in the shop attached to the restaurant. Everything (including the hand carved wooden doors) is for sale here, making it a fun dining/shopping adventure. Even though it's a semi-scary several-block walk from the Omni hotel and other Olympic Plaza attractions, it's well worth the adventure of finding it. My only disappointment was the service. I walked in for breakfast (about 4-5 guests tops in the place) and was not acknowledged. Waited about 5 minutes because I wasn't sure if I could seat myself. Finally went up to someone and asked if I could sit at the bar. When I sat down it took I wasn't given a menu or greeted so it felt a little unwelcoming. Had a horrible experience at the No Mas Cantina previously, & did not realize it was connected to ADios Cafe when I chose it. We walked in and with no direction from staff decided to sit at the bar, hoping it would provide more attentive service than we received at a table at No Mas. For several minutes we sat at the bar while 3 employees complained about the low tips they received that day, but none of them paid attention to us (I assume their shift was over, but it's the principal). There was also a manager in the bar area counting the drawer, who let this whole experience happen while he was within 5 ft of us. We got our own menus from further down the bar and finally were greeted by a server who seemed very irritated we were there, and tried to imply we should move to a table. After a bit of attitude while ordering the food (it's the No Mas menu after 11a when ADios stops serving breakfast btw, I hadn't realized that beforehand) the food came out quick, it was fine, nothing special. Another manager filtered through a few times, and we continued to be forced to hear the staff complain about their jobs while we ate. We had to get our own silverware from behind the bar, and my water sat empty for a long time and never got refilled. Again, all while a manager was present. Ready to leave my husband had his card out trying to get our servers attention, but she kept walking away to fuss at the other staff for not doing their jobs. We finally had to interrupt her fighting with other employees in the bar area in front of us in order to get her to begrudgingly run our card. This is our second bad experience with this company's service, not just with the employees but with the management. We will not be returning again, and I hope the employees and management staff learn to take pride in their jobs. read more
