As a frequent flyer on American Airlines, I often find myself visiting Admirals Clubs before my flights at airports with an Admirals Club or a partner lounge. While the clubs used to be spacious with decent food and drink offerings and excellent service, the clubs have become much busier with fewer seats available and average food and drink options. It seems that everyone has access to an Admirals Club nowadays and brings their entire families. With that said, this particular lounge is one of the largest locations I have been in, and there are many places within the lounge to relax, do work, grab a snack, or anything else. In fact, for such a large lounge, there were surprisingly open seats here and there where I'm used to smaller lounges without any open seats. There is comfortable seating as well as bar seating and table seating. Also over the last year, I've begun to see the efforts made to improve the Admirals Club membership which includes complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. Access to the lounge is easy to get whether through the Citi Executive World Mastercard with free access for you and up to two guests. You can also pay $175 for up to three authorized users each receiving their own lounge access (with up to two guests). Also, One World alliance flyers with a certain status can access Admirals Clubs. There are also Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining locations, which offer much more than just Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. This specific lounge is also connected to the Flagship Lounge, which is a special elevated American Airlines lounge complete with Flagship Dining options. I look forward to testing this out sooner than later on a future layover at ORD. read more

Sitting in a lounge waiting for a flight is a much more pleasant experience than waiting at the gate. This admirals club lounge is on the 3rd floor, flagship lounge on 2nd floor. The admiral club has a relatively large area, we prefer to sit at the tables on the left side. A quieter area to sit is located at the chairs to the right of the staff desks, the bathrooms in that hallway are less busy as well. Food options for lunch on a Saturday with very tender and tasty beef, mushroom risotto. There's also salad, fruit, prosciutto, two types of soups, dessert, coffee, tea, and other drinks. I appreciated the option of oat milk for the coffee area due to having lactose intolerance. There's also two bars in the lounge - we didn't partake in any alcohol. There is relatively fast WiFi in the lounge on- there are signs with the Wi-Fi name and password. The staff quickly takes plates and cleans up tables, and food is frequently replenished. read more

This time they had a person making custom guacamole and chips. The perfect thing to pair with an ice cold Beer Seating is comfortable. The quiet room would be better if the room wasn't so bright. This was a lovely break from the "normies" and chaos that is the general boarding/seating area. It's quieter & more comfortable. It was great to be away from the chaos of general boarding and be able to relax & eat some food that was good & well prepared & not feel rushed or anxious in any sort of way. I'm grateful I purchased the day pass ahead of time & at this location because my gate changed, so I had to move to another gate. The other Admirals Club wasn't offering the option to purchase day passes & they didn't seem too keen on accepting the day pass I had already purchased but they did ultimately accept it. This other Admirals Club was more intimate & I was only there for a very brief amount of time & didn't get a chance to take pictures. Either way, I would highly recommend taking advantage of exploring the lounges if you can. At least once in your travel life, treat yourself. read more

My ongoing complaint with the Admirals Clubs are the food and the service. I'm not sure why it is that the persons that are supposed to clean up after persons leave, show no sense of urgency. I thought it was mainly Miami, but I'm realizing it's not. When finding a seat, if someone left a plate and/or a cup, the servers don't ask if you're finished when clearly looking at empty plates....They leave it there until you manually have to move it yourself. The menu (hot foods) leave a lot to be desired. This menu was meatballs and a veggie brown rice. The meatballs tasted like rubbery frozen meatballs and while brown rice can be a bit al dente, the rice was completely hard. They should have avocado toast (they didn't have) and lox (they didn't have) served all day long if they continue to serve food like this. There are multiple Admirals Clubs throughout Chicago O'Hare, but I'm willing to bet this location in concourse H/K is one of their best, and among the better Admirals Club locations in the country. The food service, spacious interior, quality service, and overall excellent facilities make for a generally good time. There's a good amount of room to lounge, dedicated areas for food and office, along with stellar views of the runway. The clean bathrooms are appreciated as are the strong drinks from their very friendly bartenders. They've done well on the food front, as I've encountered a good variety of different items from cold foods to a solid lunch program. I also appreciate their guacamole service, which has always been plentiful without all the long lines. Peaceful oasis in the midst of chaos. I had a layover at ORD and needed to escape the maddening crowd. So, I popped into the admirals club for a respite. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Kris elevated my cocktail by slapping the mint to release the aroma. Since I ordered the southside fizz, my drink was included in the membership, so it just cost me a few bucks for the tip. This is my favorite of the 3 Admirals Club locations at O'Hare. It feels bigger than the ones in L and G (not sure if it's actually bigger, or it just feels that way). The thing I love most is all the window facing out to the tarmac so you can watch planes coming/going and taking off. Bonus points when I get to see some of the huge planes from the overseas carriers! The food is fine-same as the other lounges. Selection is limited, but the meat/cheese selection in the afternoon is always a nice perk. They do have a bar, which is usually just fine, though on one recent occasion when the lounge was pretty full it took me a long time to get a drink as the bartender didn't seem to have an organized system for the order in which he served people. I've not interacted with a ton of staff in this lounge, but (aside from the bartender noted above) the interactions I have had have been fine. I won't go out of my way to go to this lounge if I'm closer to one of the other ones. But I am happy when I see my departure gate is H or K because that means I get to go to this one! read more

A nice way to start a travel leg. The Admirals Club in O'Hare is definitely a large space. I've seen this place be super super packed, but it is also nice very nice when it isn't crowded and you can easily find a spot to relax prior to your flight. This lounge is located between concourses H & K. The check in process is super quick and you are one elevator ride to relaxing (3rd floor). 2nd floor is the flagship lounge which I've never been to - well if you count stepping off the elevator, then yes I have "been" but then immediately get back onto the elevator after realizing my mistake. There are multiple food areas in this lounge and a large, wrap-around bar on one area with TVs. Lots of different seating options, from table and chairs, to the more plush chairs, and even a quiet area where you can recline and take a nap if needed. The nice thing about being on the 3rd floor, there's a ton of light and lots of views of the planes at one of the busiest airports in the US. The staff do a great job of keeping the place tidy and coming around to collect used food items. The self-serve food is also kept really tidy as well as the bathrooms. read more

So I am in the lounges regularly But today on a layover in ORD when they wouldn't let me in the leadership lounge ( which IS the bomb!!!) I ordered off the menu. The breakfast sandwich is an airport value and quite delicious, a well blended sauce with GOOD bacon. I have been flying American Airlines for 19 years! I have to say that this admirals club is by far the second best one that I have been to. It tops MIA, definitely DFW, and JFK. The only one that can top this is LGA! The food spread looks alright although there is not much I can eat as I am kosher. The drinks look very good however there is an up charge for certain drinks. There is a coke freestyle machine, along with juices and a coffee machine. The facility is well kept. It is calm, and there are massive windows to see into the HK tarmac. There is MANY seats so overcrowding is never an issue. I have been to this lounge every time I travel out of H/K (and ORD is my home so I'm here 50% of the time) and I have always had a seat to sit. I have always been treated with respect, and have felt welcomed every time I travel. Now here is where we get to the real issue. The price. This review will remain at 5 stars because I am reviewing this lounge and not the feature of the lounge, but the price hike in 2024 made me cancel my membership. Stopped here after my flight for a bit to eat and a drink. The food selection was decent and I got a Bloody Mary and a beer. The Bloody Mary was not the best and ended up not finishing it, but can't really complain cause it was complimentary. It took a while for the bartender to appear from the back and she would come out to see if anyone needed anything and then disappeared for 5-10 minutes which meant you had to catch her when she was out. If you're a frequent flyer (and I'm going to assume most who care to read this are) then you're going to hate the receptiveness of their food. At least the past couple months it's some Mediterranean egg (sun dried tomato and goat cheese) they've served. Pretty much in all their locations. Bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, melons, .... Bathrooms are dirty but cleaner than the ones in the terminal (usually). There's a station for avocado toast... but it's not really toast so much as cold dried bread. read more

While pretty big, this lounge is extremely packed. It is hard to find an empty table here during weekends. We eventually found a place to sit and were able to easily get food and drinks. The food and drinks are all on one side of the lounge, so if you're on the far side, expect a decent walk. Food itself is exactly same as any other lounge: sandwiches, soups, finger foods, desserts, soda machine, coffee machine, alcoholic beverages. These people are crooks. They sell OneDay passes but then refuse entry and honoring the pass citing "member safety" when the club is clearly empty! When asked if they would refund me (purchased same day with a full fare First Class ticket), I was told to contact online customer service. This sure as hell lost my business for American Airlines and any recommendations that I was considering. Trash airlines come with trash customer service. I will definitely avoid flying this carrier in the future when possible and recommend the same if you are looking for an airline that actually cares about its PAYING customers and not rob them by refusing services after selling such! read more

I am an airline crew member who was traveling on a PAID FIRST CLASS TICKET which entitles me access to the club but I had purchased a day pass and tried to access the club. I was denied by the senior of the 2 women who was very very rude and condescending. Treated me like a child. If this is how they treat their passengers , no wonder they have issues in the sky ! I visited this lounge at ORD Terminal 3 Concourse H-K. It is located between the two concourses and is pretty easy to get to. I visited this place for breakfast when arriving and lunch when leaving 7 days later. This place has plenty of open seating and follows covid guidelines. All the seats have working outlets. Wish they had more TVs to watch sporting events but they had enough for everyone. Both visits offered free soft drinks, coffees, and small snacks. Breakfast offered free avocado toast and lunch offered free soup. They have plenty of offerings for money but I did not bother. read more

I've been many times, it's a solid lounge and they have plenty of staff trying to keep the place clean, but they also need to police some of their policies and the guests a little better. On the past 3 trips through here, there were numerous people using speaker phones turned all the way up (they're supposed to use headphones, per their policy). Also, the kids running around, spilling stuff, screaming, etc... It's like an elementary school cafeteria at times. Yes, this is also poor social skills and etiquette by those guests who are offenders, but these self-centered people who can't see that they're disrupting others need to often be told to quiet down, calm down, control their kids, etc. Aside from that, my other gripe is the lack of any sort of decent breakfast items on their buffet, which is typical of all AA Lounges. read more

Nice lounge! I don't have my own personal access, but a coworker does, so we got in using his credentials. I am a big fan of the offerings, which on the day I went included sushi! On this particular day, there were a lot of flight cancellations, so the place was packed and I was told this was not the typical experience. I've been to international lounges before and they make this lounge look like a joke. But if you are stuck in Chicago and have access here, it's a good place to kill a few hours. They have food, very average food, and drinks, and really clean bathrooms. I believe they have showers as well although i didn't use them. Huge Admirals club in Chicago! I so wanted to find the sushi everyone was showing pics of, or the guacamole cart but they were nowhere to be found for me. All I found was make your own Mac n cheese and the pot was empty the entire time I was there. So normally that would take me down to 3 stars but I just can't here- their bathrooms are awesome (so much better than the concourse), they have outlets to charge your phone, seats of all kinds everywhere- space to breath- let's face it when you leave there you feel like you are back out in the jungle it's so busy! As airline lounges go, this one is 2.5 stars, rounding up to 3 stars as it could be the only place you might find a little space to do some work on T3, H/K gates! The lounge is overcrowded, service is slow at best, you only get a couple of vouchers per person for drinks, almost as hectic as the rest of the airport, and little privacy, it is not a place that I would go to to relax and recharge. On the positive side, nice bar, you can get premium drinks with your "complimentary" vouchers, fresh guacamole and chips made to order, premium food counter, showers, is well lit, and comfortable seats. there are 3 admiral lounges in ORD and in my opinion this one is the best of the bunch. read more

I will say, this is one of the stronger airport lounges that I have been to! Not only is it large, but they offered a range of foods (for breakfast) that other lounges (Admiral's Lounge SFO and Alaska Airline Lounge SEA) do not offer. At around 6 or 7 in the morning, this place was popping, but as time went on one crowd left and another crowd came in. It was clean, staff was attentive, and I overall enjoyed my time here. There used to be a separate listing for the American Airlines Flagship Lounge on the second floor, which I reviewed and now that review is gone. The third floor is the Admiral's Club which is alright, but the Flagship is better. It has plenty of seating, white glove service, a hot buffet at all hours and better service especially for international travel. The pictures speak for themselves. Also the noise level is lower and more quiet for people who are working. Nice! read more

The Only Way To Airport: Nice, Clean, Quiet, Relaxing and Treats! Today we had a long layover so this is definitely the best spot around to relax while you wait for your next flight... Nothing quite compares to the admirals club when you are a frequent traveler. So much cleaner and quieter! Food and drinks to enjoy while waiting for flights. Kids area with computers, games and cartoons to keep little ones occupied. Bathrooms are super clean! Staff is always super polite. I must say the Admirals Club at Chicago O'hare is actually one of the best I've been to. Definitely worth the membership! read more

So after again paying the $500 bucks to join I try to use the club when I am flying on another airline ( due to itinerary) and am not allowed in. I have over 1mm miles on AA, use them more than any other airline, and have been an Admirals club member for years ( probably 20+ years)..this is pure I will actively avoid using AA ever again, I am small potatoes but eff them, this is not how you treat a loyal ( now former) customer. read more

I'm typically a star alliance customer so this was my first time with an American Airlines lounge. Very similar to the local United lounges -- good bar area and limited food options and a decent seating area with lots of outlets for electronic devices. While not as good as the United Polaris lounges, the options seem to be better than a regular united lounge. For example, they had good soup options and also a guacamole bar. read more
