Ay Nako! Not impressed. Waited 30min in line only to find out that they "ran out of Adobo Rice Bowls", but are still selling Adobo Burritos. Not really the Filipino food Lola would whip up. Clearly not my first choice, but having invested so much time already, I didn't have many options. Curiosity got to me, so I asked how they ran out of rice bowls, but can still sell Burritos, when they both have the same ingredients. The answer was that the burrito doesn't use as much rice, so apparently they have to ration it. A Filipino food truck low on rice??? Man, that's just lame! Can't tell you what the food tastes like yet, because I'm investing another 20mins waiting for it, after I ordered, and have to run back to work. Yep, that's 50min from start to finish, w/o even getting what I wanted...... Okay, I'm back after wolfing down the burrito before my conference call. I initially rated them only one star , but at least the actual Chicken Adobo tasted legit Filipino. However, it was still a bit "different" in burrito form, but was still pretty good. Ironically, if that was all they offered in the first place, and I didn't have to spend 80% of my lunch break waiting, this was pretty good truck/fusion style food. Hope they plan better next time. Legit Filipino restaurants should NEVER run out of rice. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. read more

So today this food truck was in our work location around the Irvine Spectrum at 11:15am. When I got there, no one was yet in line. I ordered the pork adobo bowl, which include a fried egg and not sure if it was suppose to be garlic fried rice. But I thought it was very good. The price for the bowl was $7.50...it was worth it. I would have probably given this a 5 star if it gave more rice and another egg...us Filipinos can't live without rice. For lunch menu the portion was probably enough...if i had eaten more, i would have probably gone into a food coma and would have needed a nap. read more

Wow! This place is great. $2.5 for the lumpia's which are almost pure chicken! They were excellent. The Bowl for $7.50 was a good deal especially with the egg on top, HOWEVER I believe they should be more sauce on it (more dinuguan!) This is only reason I didn't give them 5 star. $10, what a deal. I was happy to see a Filipino truck at work. I got the chicken adobo rice bowl. The chicken was literally just fried chicken over rice with no flavor. I haven't had such a horrible adobo like this. No credit card transaction below $10, cash only but no bills over $20...any more restrictions? Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else. read more

I LOVE their chicken adobo tacos. The tacos have the most perfect umami flavor EVER, it's definitely a delicious kick in the mouth. A squeeze of lime goes perfect with the chicken adobo. I don't usually do food trucks but when days at work are busy like today and I can't get out of the office and I'm starving then food trucks are my go to. Last Filipino food truck was unsatisfying and lacked flavor. I'm happy to say that Adobo Express was the opposite. Its not greasy and the chicken adobo was seasoned very nicely. I've tried this place a few times. Pork Adobo bowl is the bomb! You might as well call it pulled pork, it's so tender! Rice is for sure jasmine rice and sauce over it added a nice flavour! Unsure about how many people here say the lady is rude. She has not been rude at all. Not to me or anyone I've seen. I believe it is called, "you are too much of a crybaby" or "grow a pair". The minimum wage now in CA is $11. For $9 a bowl, you expect the cook to be nice when she is busy fulfilling the order line? Anyway, the bowl could use atchara or green onions. read more

This truck keeps coming back to our work but I dont know how its making any money. It is a plain plain menu with 3 things on it. I had the pork bowl with a fried egg. Pretty plain. The garlic rice was super garlicky in places and then super bland in other places. Weird. I think maybe I needed soy sauce. The fried egg was the best part with the yolk running throughout. Add some sriracha and its way better. $7 for a bowl and I would say for convenience it was a good investment. read more

Pork Adobo Bowl. Not good! It isn't really garlic fried rice, just steamed white rice. Plus, their adobo fell short of fresh--tasted like old leftovers. It's disappointing, especially since it offers so much potential having no other local Filipino cuisine to compete with. Was pretty excited to have this food truck stop by by my company today. For a food truck, the price is fairly decent and the spam and egg dish that I ordered was well cooked. The only thing I wish is that they used spam lite instead of the regular spam cause it was a bit on the salty side. read more

I've been trying to track down this food truck for awhile. Their website offers very limited info about location so it's kinda tough. Their menu is pretty simple, it's pork and chicken in either quesadilla, taco or burrito form. I tried the burrito, or the adoburitto if you will. The guy taking my order asked me if I wanted spicy and of course I said yes. The burrito came with rice, garlic, fried egg, cilantro, onions and pork. There was also some unidentified sauce, which I assume is adobo. The mixture of the sauce, pork and egg was pretty delicious. It wasn't very spicy at all. The price was very reasonable at $7.50. I ordered the chicken burrito. The meat had no flavor and at least 1/3 was inedible gristle. Apart from a tiny smattering of banana ketchup, the rest of the burrito (white rice, an egg, and a couple grilled onions) was as flavorless as the chicken. The menu is very limited. It was pretty disappointing. I had the filipino breakfast burritos which was adobo pork, fried egg, potatoes, cheese, onions and tomato. The worst burrito I've had. The potatoes were barely cooked and tasted raw. The pork was dry and has no flavor and the entire burrito was drench in what takes like sweet mayonnaise and Siracha. I also got a spam slider which was way better than the burritos but was advertised more as a side. Obviously they think the burrito is the showcase but the slider is better. Nothing too special that you can't make it in your house. Good slice of spam, fried egg, cheese on a grilled pan de sal roll. Save the extra two bucks and just get a slider. I had expected a bit more from a place charging over $7 a bowl, but even with out the pricing issue the food was gross. Really good food at reasonable prices. I love the Pork Adobo Bowl with the egg on top. Great rice, with really tasty slow cooked pork and an fried eggs on top. The Huy Fong Sriracha brings the entire bowl together. Mmmmm. My only gripe is that the yolk should be runny and the while should not be brown. Eggs are not meant to be brown. read more

Not impressed!!! Very bad...the chicken seems like it's boiled meat, no flavor at all. The sauce (if you can call it that) is very thin and bland. The egg on top is overcooked. Never met such a miserable cook. They were at Laguna Hills high school last week. After playing some tennis found this truck. I was like "perfect! i'm filipino, craving filipino food and I'd save time out of my day and eat here!" Big mistake. As I walk up to the truck, all smiles, I see that they have the classic filipino dish, lumpia. Lumpia would be too small for a lunch so I asked the guy behind the counter if they had any rice (which I don't think was asking for too much) and then I get this angry lady behind him angrily replying behind him "NO, I DON'T DO THAT!" Wow. For one, rice isn't that hard, why WOULDN'T you do that? Second, I don't know what I did to get such a nasty reply. I probably should've left but I was already set on eating there so I got the lumpia and my husband got the quesadilla. I already had a bad taste from my mouth from the rudeness of the cook and then the lumpia made it worse. I got 6 but I could only stomach 3. It was pretty oily and nothing special really. Had a bite from my husband's quesadilla and it also had a pretty bad aftertaste. If you wanna have a good day, don't come here. Unfriendly people with crappy food. read more
