I walked in to the shop without an appointment and in desperate need of a haircut. My family and I used a woman stylist who came to our house for 17 years to cut hair. She relocated to TX and after trusting her to cut our hair for this length of time, it was difficult to find a shop that could cut my hair like I had been used to. I went to a chain type haircut place and they couldn't get the job done, after explaining several times how I wanted it cut. I was on my way home from work and googled barber shops near me and took a chance on A Man's Zone Barber Shop with NO appointment. I met Isaac and explained to him how I wanted my hair cut. The cut was not even on sides/back, not blended in right, not even remotely close to what was showed in picture. And they charge $42 for this? You could go downtown for much better quality cut and get a drink to go along with it. read more

The strip along Ogden Avenue has been in need of some great little shops for some time now. And what do you know? Nestled amongst a strip mall with a pawn shop and wonderful sushi restaurant sits an old-school-meets-new-school barbershop called "A Man's Zone". The owner, Isaac, has been cutting hair since he was 14 and became licensed at 16 in New York. We are lucky to have him in Naperville. He easily switches from scissors and comb to electric sheers and back again. He has beverages ranging from sport drinks to espresso, beer, pop, whatever. Plus he has chocolates. All that aside, he offers a hair cut for $25 and a straight razor shave for $30. I took advantage of both and was in heaven. His attention to detail, obsession with making the customer super happy, and his craftsmanship made me feel like a new man. Check it out. I stumbled upon this place while driving by and decided to give it a chance. I walked in and was able to schedule an appointment for a couple hours later. Although it was close to closing time, Isaac took his time and did and AMAZING job with my haircut. I had grown a "covid" beard that had gotten quite scruffy. He trimmed and styled it and fixed my attempts to trim it myself. I've gotten compliments on both the cut and the beard. I am so glad I found this place.
