I think this is my first yelp review ever...this place is INCREDIBLE. They're always extremely nice. It's affordable as well, I take my boys here and they always do a wonderful job. Customer service is wonderful. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I was looking for someone to cut my boys hair that wasn't your typical kids cut place, and this popped up and there were so many positive reviews I decided to try it out. We took our son here today as this is where my husband gets his haircut! My son absolutely hates getting his haircut and Victor and Moe couldn't have been more accommodating! Moe did a wonderful job. I showed him a photo and he gave my kid that haircut. We had to switch it up now that my son is keeping longish hair, great clips kept giving him ladies haircuts. Victor has been my barber for over 3 years now.  Well let me tell you, I used to drive over 30 min to cut by him...yes, I am one of those people who followed him wherever he goes cuz honestly it's hard finding a good barber these days. Saved the day! My 7 year old has always been going to Great Clips and normally it is just ok. Well, today we asked for the same cut he had last time (buzz cut with two strips on the side). The lady started cutting his hair and then said she can't do the strips on the side of his head because "she is not a barber" she asked two ladies working there to do it and they both refused. I was so upset and on top of it all the hair cut was uneven. I drove straight to Twenty 21 without an appt and explained my situation with Viktor. He took care of my son right away and did fixed the uneven cut and gave my son what he wanted. At the end I went to pay and Viktor refused any money and chased me out to my car to return my money. After moving to Lisle I found myself looking for a new barber and stumbled upon Twenty 21 here on Yelp. They had an opening for Saturday morning so I booked an appointment with Mack. The entire booking process was done online and was honestly super easy. They send confirmation and reminder notifications so you won't miss your slot. I arrived a few minutes before my time slot and Mack seated me immediately. Having just switched barbers after years there I let Mack know I typically just went with "the usual" and explained what I wanted to the best of my ability. He immediately picked up on what I was asking for and got right to work asking questions about the cut along the way. That being said, I was in and out in under 25 minutes! The results were fantastic and I walked out with a smile on my face. Mack worked efficiently, skillfully, and professionally the entire time and the cut speaks for itself. I came here not really knowing what to expect, but I left saying wow. First off, the shop is very clean and the barber is extremely kind. When I sat down for my cut I told him that my last haircut (which was from a different place) messed my hair up. As he cut my hair, he told me what mistakes had happened in my last cut and how to fix them. He gave me great tips and an even better haircut. Definitely recommend. read more

Horrible experience. I came in for a haircut and beard trim. I ended up getting my beard blow dried on high. Also to make the experience better the customer and barber next to me started to disrespect me right in front of me. Cost $40 to ruin my beard and disrespect me. I thought I was going to have to suffer the shame and self-consciousness of a sub-par haircut.
