I had a disappointing experience with Jessica over multiple appointments. She was late to every…read moreappointment, and the service always felt rushed. Spray lasted a day or so, the waxing ROUGH AF. I originally found her through Groupon. When I reminded her that I was using my Groupon, she appeared irritated, let out a heavy sigh, and then said, "Never mind," then honoring the Groupon. I returned because I had already purchased a package, which I now regret. On the last visit, I brought my child, who is autistic (ASD), after seeing other clients bring their children. During the appointment, my child was stimming and rocking. Jessica spoke to him very ugly and in a way I found harsh, telling him to stop because he was rocking into her furniture. I found the interaction upsetting and nasty. I have posted reviews about my experiences before, but they were removed after Jessica reported them. I disagree with that decision because these are my own firsthand experiences as a customer. Based on my experiences, I would not return or recommend her services.

This was when she did her appointments in her home. It was a bit unorthodox, but I happily obliged because she did somewhat of a good job. But, I also didn't know better. I was still new to lash extensions. As she got more appointments and switched to the closet of a building she is in now, the work got increasingly more sloppy. Applications got sparse and would go in multiple directions. Towards the end of our interactions, fed up with the consistently sloppy work, I told her that I wanted the "volume refill." This refill basically gives you the appearance of a thicker look. I felt her basic refills were no longer consistent to what I was getting when I first started. I was happy to pay for the upgrade too. She did not receive that well. In my experiences with Jessica, she did not appreciate nor want to hear unfavorable feedback - even if properly delivered. When I would tell her I was unhappy with the work, giving her specifics, she would become rude and act as though I was an imposition. Which I find odd as we are the ones having to find the time to get what could have been done right the first time. Eventually, she responded to me, via text, she couldn't "accommodate my feedback." Very unprofessional? Also, in her previous location (it was one of those building that closed after a specific time, so you had to be buzzed or let in) you were expected to wait outside in the front for several minutes. Rain or shine, but since this is Houston, it was often in the blistering heat. She never apologized for having you wait and in fact made it seem as though her coming to the door of HER business was an imposition. I heard she moved yet again, but still can not produce good work. I know many of her clients - all which have left. I produced 4 consistent referrals to her all of which are unhappy with her work to date. I was always on time and tipped her very very well. It was never enough I guess... My suggestion to you is to go to Lashes by Ann on Montrose. Same price and actual consistently, impeccable and professional work. The ratings will speak for the establishment. They're great!

I was overdue for an eyebrow tinting so I decided to walk in and give them a try. Z did a great job on my brows and advised me that they also do eyelash extensions and lifting. I don't really need the extensions and lifting seemed like a good original j for me to try. I didn't have time that day so I made an appt. Came back for my appt the following weekend and Z helped me out again and did a great job on not only my first eyelash lift but she also retouched my brow tint. Threading Brow Bar is a clean, calm establishment and Z is kind & excellent at explaining their services and providing explanation. They also offer packages for their services. They have a threading and tinting package for $99/mo. If you go once a week that's a really good deal since the brow and tint is about $25 per service. TBB is a hike for me but well worth it when I'm in the area and I'll likely return for future lash lifts

More critically, the quality of the lashes was extremely poor. Despite following all aftercare instructions, a clump fell off the very next day, and half were gone by the end of the week. I was then charged an additional $10 to have the remaining lashes removed. The experience was capped by the technician asking for a tip, which I found insulting given the poor outcome. I absolutely would not recommend this establishment for lashes.
