    ADU

Adore Homes is the company you can trust to build your ADU. If you ever think about building an ADU in your property, Adore Homes is the right choice. They offer one stop shop service and you do not need to worry about getting the city permit or anything else you need to get your ADU project done. They assign a dedicated project manager who will be working with you closely with the contractor and complete your project step by step following the instructions from the city inspector. Kevin is the project manager who took care of our project and he is very knowledgeable and professional. Ken and Tom are also the ones who have been there to make sure that everything is working properly. We just had our ADU project done and we are satisfied with the work that Adore Homes has done for us. Thank you, Adore Homes!

The work was excellent, but what really impressed me was the follow-up. A year later, Payman sent his crew back just to handle the little adjustments that come with a house settling. Even years later, he's still helpful whenever I need to get in touch with one of his subcontractors for maintenance. Because of that trust, I hired him again last year for a major remodel of my vacation home, and he didn't disappoint me as always. Payman is easily the most responsive contractor I've worked with, he gets back to every email within 24 hours, no matter how complex the issue is. His project management is top-tier. The crew is respectful and polite, and they actually finished the job ahead of schedule. It's rare to find a contractor who is this efficient and actually stands by their work long-term. Highly recommended.

From the very beginning they were professional responsive and transparent about the design and construction project. Payman took the time to explain different design options in detail--outlining clear timelines, estimated costs, and how each plan would fit my goals and budget. His approach was thoughtful and collaborative, ensuring that every design decision made sense for my home's layout and potential. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. Payman and his team kept me updated on city approvals, vendor coordination, and project timelines. They were patient in answering all my questions and flexible with revisions as the design evolved. I truly appreciated their honesty, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. It's clear that Bay Area Design and Construction takes great pride in their workmanship and client satisfaction. I would highly recommend Payman to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy design and construction team in the Bay Area.

My reno with another contractor was not going smoothly and made the difficult decision to find a different contractor. When we started working with MTM Building Group, I was expecting to buy my own fixtures and having to manage/monitor the work. However, this group is one step ahead, and they purchase everything and know when to purchase items to meet the timeline and not cause delays. I am free to have a life without having to worry about the reno. Micheal, Nancy, Ron, and Terry treated our house like their own, and they have been in the field for decades. I wish they were with us from when we were talking to the architect because they knew from experience what works and what doesn't from the construction point. They were able to clear some things that were less efficient financially. I have not had to redo anything or correct things. Micheal informs me of all the issues that he discovers and lets me make my informed decision rather than hiding it. He's there every working day to make sure everything runs efficiently and as planned. We have been ahead of our timeline and we have passed all our inspections with flying colors, and 4 at a time at that. We get a boutique experience, and all I can say is that I'm impressed and grateful to have met them.

What was going on and what was happening if I had any concerns, he addressed them immediately and make sure that they met my expectations. I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

They worked with me to incorporate the changes and still kept everything moving smoothly. The quality of workmanship on the bathroom, flooring, windows, skylight, cabinetry, and finish work was very good. The crew was hardworking, skilled, and detail-oriented, and we are very happy with the final results. The project was also completed on or ahead of schedule, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience with the project managers, Amir and Hamid, was less positive. Communication was sometimes unclear, change orders were not always worded or documented clearly, and some issues led to misunderstandings that could have been avoided with better communication. For example, there was confusion over touch-up painting after stucco was patched around the new windows. The scope and pricing could have been communicated more clearly. We also had an issue with the shower glass door installed by a subcontractor, which failed inspection. We expected Aria Build, as the general contractor, to take greater ownership and help coordinate the resolution rather than leaving us to handle it. Overall, we want to give credit to the crew for their hard work and craftsmanship. We are pleased with the finished product, and the timely completion was a definite positive. However, project management, communication, and accountability fell short of our expectations. With better documentation and more ownership when issues arise, this could have been a much better overall experience.

After a quick initial meetup, Ray wasted no time sending us information, setting up visits to houses we were interested in, and answering all our questions in a timely manner. He was professional about everything but also personable and approachable. We had a very specific goal in mind: a small but comfortably sized house for our family, smaller front yard, big backyard, no HOA, and preferably on the Peninsula (among other expectations.) Working with Ray felt like having a trusted friend guide us through every twist and turn of buying our first home. We showed up to our first open house clueless--but Ray patiently explained the entire process, and never made us feel embarrassed for asking the same question twice. He was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We appreciate that he shared his experience and insight, not just regarding real estate but everything including financing, lender info, commute patterns, potential diy home improvement, renovations, land/mineral rights, etc. Needless to say we learned a lot at every meeting and in a very short period of time. He turned home tours into fun learning opportunities, pointing out things we'd have missed on our own--like noise pollution or foundation issues, cracks in the walls or unevenness in the floors, the temperature of the electrical box, etc. Within the 3rd week, we "had Ray's voice in our heads" when looking at listings and visiting homes. We had a wide range with regard to location: which included most of the South Bay and nearly all the Peninsula. Ray was more than happy to show us many neighborhoods around the Bay Area. He even encouraged us to spend extended amounts of time staying, visiting, or at least driving each area to feel the vibes of each location. We even visited homes 'slightly outside' our ideals so we could garner a feel for what we were most comfortable living with or without. Ray helped us to shop with hope and see the potential of certain spaces but also kept us grounded in our expectations and budget. Throughout our search, we never felt rushed to 'put in an offer.' However, it didn't take long for us to find a home we were interested in. With the knowledge and guidance Ray provided, we were able to submit our first offer, which to our pleasant surprise, was accepted! In June, we bought a home that checked nearly all our boxes: a small mid-century 3bd/1ba on the Peninsula with an immense backyard and in a neighborhood we love. We absolutely love our new home and because of Ray's expertise and help, we have the peace of mind we made the right decision. If you're diving into your first home purchase and want an agent who listens, educates, and celebrates every small win, Ray's the perfect partner for the journey.

Overall, it was a good experience, and we were very satisfied with the project. Roy Haver was our project manager throughout the renovation. During the early stages, I also had lot of interaction with both Roy and Noa Azarzar regarding the scope of the work, project estimates, and other details. It was a very pleasant experience working with both of them. Noa was very understanding and helpful during the estimation and planning phase. She's one of the big reason we decided to go with Brother Brother. We really appreciated her support. There were some issues and challenges along the way, although nothing major, and they were all addressed and resolved. One thing I especially appreciated about Roy was how responsive and accessible he was. He was always available when we had questions, responded quickly, and consistently gave us the assurance that things would be taken care of. More importantly, he followed through on those promises. He also visited the project frequently and kept us updated on the progress. We sincerely appreciate Roy for being professional, responsive, understanding, and attentive to our needs. He made sure the work was completed to our satisfaction. I also want to thank Marco, the head of the crew, for his hard work and for helping get the job done. One thing we really appreciated was how they handled changes along the way. When our requirements shifted, they adapted easily and offered great feedback on ways to simplify our design to save time and money. The team showed up on time each morning, cleaned up before leaving every day, and were always respectful and courteous. They made a point to ask questions and check in to make sure everything was being done to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail showed in the finishing touches, and whenever something wasn't quite right, they were more than willing to fix it. The project finished on schedule and mostly on budget. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.
