    Half filled grass jelly

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience today. I paid $7.99 through Too Good To Go for a "surprise bag" from Adore Cake, advertised as about $24 worth of food. Instead, I received a single bowl of grass jelly -- that's it. The most expensive grass jelly on their menu is around $12, so this is nowhere near the promised value. I've bought their surprise bags before and always got a nice mix of pastries and cakes, so this felt like a slap in the face. Too Good To Go is meant to offer appealing discounts on end-of-day food so it doesn't go to waste -- not charge customers almost full price for one regular menu item. Paying nearly $9 after tax for this completely defeats the purpose of the app. I felt scammed, embarrassed, and honestly insulted. I used to love Adore Cake, but after this experience, I won't be returning.

I have high expectation as Black Balls this suppose to be a franchise from Taiwan and serving Taiwanese desserts. Price seems to be reasonable and the portion is decent. Unfortunately they are just not good. There is also some confusion if this is a self serve order at the counter or with table service. The table next to us has 5 customers sharing a slice of cake?? By the time we were leaving, there was a line waiting for table.

This place is new in the area, thought I would give it try. Ordered a bunch of goodies to share, bc why not!!! The service was great. You order at the counter and pick it up after. It was quiet surprisingly, but again it's new and probably not many know about it. I say it's "new" bc I haven't seen it until now. I know of one in the west coast but not in Markham. Also it's "adore x blackball" so it was it a bit tricky trying to locate this on yelp.

Strawberry shaved ice was pretty good. The combination of vanilla ice cream, chewy small balls, strawberry pieces & strawberry puree was tasty. The shaved ice was rather coarse though. I got it at 50% off, which was nice.

Lovely place, many people on a weekend afternoon. They make really great cakes. My favourite is taro basque.

This was a very unenjoyable experience. I saw pictures of the matcha and chocolate mochi and was very excited to visit this establishment. I walked into the restaurant and I found that the aesthetic of the place was very nice and seemed cozy. The lights were very nice to look at, but not too bright and it was very well lit. The counter as well as tables and chairs also meshed well with each other. When we went to order, the service was fine and they seemed amicable, but I was extremely disappointed to find that half of the items on the menu were not available. Not only was the matcha and chocolate mochi that I was hoping for unavailable, but 5 of the available drinks were also unavailable. I was extremely disappointed, but was still craving some sweets so I opted for the Kyoto Matcha Shaved Ice, but unsurprisingly, they did not have Matcha Ice Cream with the product so I had to substitute it with the mango ice cream. At this point, I was already very unsatisfied with my experience; what I came for was unavailable and the substitution that I was hoping to save the experience, the matcha ice cream, was also unavailable. Trying to save this experience, I tried to be understanding of the situation and hoped for the best, but after asking for the mango ice cream on the side, they still managed to leave it on the top. Not only that, but the shaved ice cream tastes horrible. The matcha tasted horrible and the mango ice cream was also very unsatisfactory. The matcha pudding also did not taste like anything and the only enjoyable part of the dish were the three little white squishy balls located on the side. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory experience. My expectations were ruined and my excitement to try the items on the menu were also destroyed by the lack of available options on the menu, therefore I would have to rate this experience 1 out of 5 stars.

They have a wide variety of cake options, and when I walked in for a birthday cake, they immediately made a fresh one for me.

Their main location is in Mississauga, and they expanded to North York a few years ago. Service is nice and cheerful, making you feel quite welcome. I like their drink selection that has some interesting things like black sesame latte, tiramisu latte, and grapefruit tea. Their dessert select is good too, with things big and small. Their rolls and cakes are excellent, with plenty of cream, not too sweet. The cakes are beautifully glazed and decorated. The sweet potato cake is fluffy and light. The mont blanc has a nice chestnutty flavour, but is a bit too sweet for my liking. At the moment, they are selling Korean dubai chewy cookies, but we'll see how long this fad lasts...

But she was right LOL. It was really good, and it was even better than the desserts at the restaurant we had dinner at that night. We cut the 6" cheesecake into 12 small pieces, and it was perfect for a sweet little treat at the end of our meal :) The staff were courteous and ready to help. It was quite busy even on a Saturday evening around 6pm. There are also tables inside the shop for dining in. Other than whole cakes, they do have slices of cakes available and other mini desserts + a lot of macarons! We did request the shop to write HBD on the cake, but the staff said they are unable to do it at this location (not sure why, maybe don't have the proper tools?). We also tried asking for a candle; we ended up having to buy a pack of 6 candles at the shop :\

It made the experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Food 4/5 There's plenty of choices on the menu and everything tasted freshly made flavours are solid and satisfying, and the ability to try samples first helped narrow down what to order. I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)

The order process was simple, and we could pay when we pick up the cake. We picked it up on my husband's birthday day almost their closing time. The owner and her kids were all at the store to wait for us, she said they were going to close early for dinner with her father. We were so sorry about that. And she asked how long for our drive home, when we said about 15-20 mins, she gave us 3 bags of ice to keep it cold. She was really nice. Since we have 3 bags of ice, we decided to have dinner before we got home. The cake was still in great shape when we were home. I really didn't know how to cut this bear cake. Because I ordered the one with heart shapes flurry, face was smiling bear, clothes changed to light blue and "H" on the heart place bear. It was too cute to cut it or eat it. My husband asked me to close my eyes and he fed me. I chose the taste was Tiramisu flavour without wine. So the bear looked good. The taste could be customised, I was thinking of sesame taste, but she told me the bear would be a bit dark and black spots, I don't want it to look weird, so I decided to have Tiramisu taste. The whole bear was really creamy and mousse a lot, only inside a little cake. 5' cake it looked like small, but 2 of us still finished it in 2 days. Highly recommended to try their daily lunch special, it's a combo that includes a meal and a cup of bubble tea, only $9.99. I will definitely try it next time.
