The lobby was very clean and shiny, and the restrooms were large and clean. The theatre's interior was very beautiful and comfortable. Every comfortable seat in the theatre offers a perfect view of the stage, and the sound system was perfect. The employees were all very friendly and professional, and they assisted anyone and everyone who needed help. Though the music was a tad different from what we are used to on the radio, the performers worked hard and did a GREAT job of keeping the audience engaged and entertained.

It may be tricky to find, since they are located on the campus of a high school, but don't let that deter you. I originally purchased balcony tickets for myself, my mom, and my sister. My mom is elderly and has difficulty going up and down stairs. When we arrived, a very kind staff member noticed our situation and directed me to Guest Services to see if they could help. They immediately worked with us and moved us to seats that my mom could access without having to climb the stairs. Once we got to those seats, we realized we had another issue. My sister, who has special needs, has wider hips and unfortunately could not comfortably fit in the seat. Instead of making us feel embarrassed or like we were causing a problem, the staff were incredibly understanding, respectful, and attentive. They worked to find another solution and ultimately moved us down to the orchestra area where there were larger seats that worked for my sister. What meant the most to me was how much they genuinely seemed to care that all three of us were comfortable and able to enjoy the show. They didn't just tell us there was nothing they could do--they kept helping until they found something that worked for our family. I wish I had gotten the names of everyone who helped us because they absolutely deserve recognition. Taking care of my elderly mother and my special-needs sister with such kindness and dignity meant more to me than they probably realize. It can be hard to come across truly exceptional customer service, and Segerstrom Center for the Arts went above and beyond for us. I am so grateful. And Beauty and the Beast was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for a beautiful show, a wonderful evening with my family, and most importantly, for treating us with so much compassion and respect. Five stars without hesitation.

My problem is with the service here. I came here on Friday, August 21st. The traffic attendants directed us to walk one way in order to get to the theater. My mom and I then went that one way. When we got to the entrance of the theater, before the security check, one of the female valet/parking/rideshare directors berated both me and my mom saying we couldn't come this way. My mom apologized and she continued to yell at us. We were going through security and more people were going through that same way and nothing was said to them. It put a bad taste in our mouth. Then, when we entered the theater, we went to the merchandise booth, The people working the booth mentioned that there would be more shirts upstairs, so upstairs we went. We went directly upstairs, and we asked the attendants upstairs if there was more merchandise somewhere in the theater. They looked at us like we were stupid and said it's only downstairs, until one of them finally said there might be some more in the orchestra floor. Our saving grace was the worker at the merchandise booth up there. She was super sweet! It really put a bad taste in both my mom and my mouth. I really love this theater, way more than Pantages, but with workers like that, it just put a dulled the whole experience. The best part about the day spent here was the spectacular performance of Phantom of the Opera.

Music was blasting throughout the festival, creating a fun atmosphere, but be prepared for long lines for both ordering and food pickup. Most vendors were cashless and accepted credit cards, Zelle, or Venmo, although some did take cash. A few vendors even made the long trek down from the Bay Area. The biggest challenge was definitely the heat. It was a hot day, and the event could have used more shaded areas. Lots of people gathered around the tables to cool off, while others were there to actually eat. The food was okay overall, but I'm hoping to try the BBQ next time around. My favorite was the Mango Crumble halo-halo from D Baker's Lab--definitely worth trying! Prices can add up quickly, so I'd recommend going with friends and sharing dishes. That way, you can sample more without spending a small fortune. Heads up: the sticky rice line was REALLY long. If you're driving, bring a cooler with plenty of water. You'll save money on drinks and, more importantly, stay hydrated while you're out in the heat. Overall, a fun free event with plenty of food, shopping, music, and mango-filled treats. Just come prepared for the heat and the lines!

It was the best surprise- I had no idea until we arrived. The Maverick puts on this play every year and it is outstanding. Their seasons always bring unique, quirky shows. From King Kong to Rocky Horror to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There is always something cool happening. Brian, the owner, is dedicated to theater and is a friendly, welcoming guy.
