I saw Crystal a total of three times, and unfortunately each visit resulted in worse outcomes for me. At first, I thought I may not have been explaining what I wanted clearly enough, but after the final service I felt the results reflected poor technique. The photos shown here are from my last appointment and show visible lack of blending at the root, which was not obvious in the salon due to the lighting and mirror angles. When I brought this up privately afterward as feedback, she denied the pictures were of her work. I did not request a refund or ask for the work to be corrected; I only wanted to share my concerns, but the response left me feeling unheard. Based on my experience, I would not return or allow her to work on my hair again. I was unhappy with the color application, haircuts, and blowouts I received. Three days later, I visited a different salon where they were able to improve the blending and give my hair a more polished, professional appearance. The staff there expressed surprise at the condition of my hair given the price I paid, which was nearly $400. Unprofessional Management, Poor Results, and Legal Threats from Management After the salon moved my appointment time (I had previously spoken with the owner directly who said she would personally meet with me), I arrived to find I had been switched to a different stylist without any notice. Despite having discussed a potentially complex color goal with the owner, the new stylist was not briefed. During the consult I let her know that I wanted to have my hair blended better as my roots were showing from previous color grow-out a wanted whatever she suggested to help improve it. She suggested partial highlights, which is what she performed; however, I was billed for a balayage, which is a higher price point. When I pointed out that I was overcharged for a service I didn't receive, the salon simply insisted it was a balayage. After spending over $375, I was left with poorly blended hair that did not meet the agreed-upon goals. When I contacted the owner to resolve this, I was met with pushback on my experience. She insisted the hair was "beautiful" and "perfectly blended," dismissing my concerns entirely. She refused a refund and attempted to blame me for the breakdown in communication--despite the fact that she was the one who switched my stylist at the last minute without telling me. After the appointment when I returned home I took a picture of the hair and shared with the salon for reference and was told that that was not how it looked when I had been in the salon. They then sent me the before and after images they took from a completely different angle where you were not able to see the problem area. Most disturbingly, since posting my honest feedback about this experience, the owner has reached out to threaten me with legal action if I do not remove my reviews. I go to professionals for their expertise and expect to be treated with basic respect and honesty. Instead, I was overcharged, ignored, and now intimidated for sharing the truth. This was my third visit to Adrift, and I absolutely love this place. The salon itself is beautiful, and the staff is always so welcoming. They also carry great products, which is a big plus. Autumn, who works on my hair, is incredibly skilled and patient. She really listens to my requests and is very attentive (especially important since I have curly hair). She did an amazing job, and I left the salon feeling so happy. My hair felt soft, healthy, and looked great! read more

Beware of this company's deceptive pricing before you book. I do not recommend Adrift Hair and would caution anyone that chooses to get services here. Compare what you've been told to their website to ensure that they do not lie to you as well. I purchased a $350 blow out package in their store that was supposed to be "4 blow outs for the price of 5" and include several included items (heat styling, hot towel, etc). I was told to book online at the member price to use the package. 8 days after purchase I booked online and the price was $50 for the stylist that I was seeing for the blow out. The service was just a wash and blow dry. On the website, the price came up as $50 and hot styling was an additional cost, so I did not check that service. When I went to check out, the price that came up on the check out screen in their location as $50. Upon questioning the price the company informed me that it was supposed to include other items that were not included in the service I recieved during my appointment. I took screen shots of their website that showed even the highest cost was $75 for other stylists and that it was booked at the $50 rate. The company has seen all the evidence where I booked and received a $50 treatment and that their website did not have any blow dry service that was $85 that she insisted it was. I've asked for a refund of $300 ($350 paid less the $50 service I recieved) and was denied. I'm reporting the company to the better business bureau for deceptive advertising and not honoring the pricing on the website. read more
