    Latte, Iced Tea

It was a nice spot! It's small, but they do have all the fixings of a restaurant such as full bar, menu items, but are set up for grab and go. I haven't been for breakfast, but I got a coffee, iced tea and a muffin. All were very good. The muffin was warm and the latte was on point. I love Ethiopian coffee! All the amenities you get from any other coffee shop or restaurant for that matter. There was one person working at the time, so depending on the time of day, it may require patience. SUPPORT LOCAL.

I was in the area getting my hair done and wanted a treat afterwards. I love Ethiopian coffee and found this place near. Zee was working the register. He was very nice and gave me suggestions on what I should I try. I got the caramel latte with whipped cream subbed with oat milk. It was really good! While I was enjoying my coffee and croissant, a small group came in signing. Zee took his time and communicated with them to make sure their needs were met. That was so admirable. Outstanding customer service! I'll definitely be back next time I get my hair done or in the area.

Love the atmosphere, lots of space to work. The prices of the coffee is reasonably priced and its Ethiopian coffee which I love. They even roast their beans onsite! They have injera too and an Ethiopian breakfast menu. The service is great especially Jordan, was very helpful and accommodating with informing me of my options. Will definitely be back again!

Adulis Café: A Must-Try Ethiopian Gem in Uptown DC & Silver Spring! I just discovered Adulis Café, and it's an absolute game-changer for Ethiopian cuisine in the area! Visited today with my best friend, and we were blown away by the abundance of flavors in their vegan platters. Once you start eating, it's impossible to stop--every bite keeps you coming back for more. We ended up lingering for over an hour, savoring every moment! Highlights: Perfectly cooked dishes: The lentils, chickpea stew (shiro), collard greens, yellow peas, and cabbage/carrots were flawless--shoutout to the incredibly talented chef! A vegan/vegetarian dream: As someone who cooks veggie platters often, Adulis is now my top choice for dining out. Organic coffee & tea: Don't miss their roasted coffee and variety of teas (my pick: Earl Grey--so aromatic!). ***It's immaculate & very decent place!!*** If you're in Uptown DC or Silver Spring, run to Adulis Café! The food is unforgettable, the vibe is welcoming, and the flavors will have you hooked. Can't wait to go back!

I prefer the spicy tibs, but the crispy tibs are also quite good. My favorite side is the lentils and salad. My wife loves the cabbage and carrots. I like adding the extra chicken leg as well. I only wish they had a full chicken meal and some spicier sauces. We come here at least once a month and always enjoy ourselves. It has become quite popular and there are a lot of white customers these days... I hope the food maintains its quality and flavor. The service is always friendly and I like the Ethiopian beer.

I always get the veggie combo, and I probably always will. Their tomato lettuce salad is perfection, not an afterthought, and I wouldn't mind if they gave me a whole bowls worth to grab in every bite! I've sampled bits of the meat off my partner's platters, and it far exceeds any we've ever tasted around here from an ethiopian restaurant. Back to the ambiance. I recently brought two good friends here because the space is bright and decent. That said, reservations are a MUST if you are bringing a party of larger than 2, due to how tiny the space is, and for a group, you really need to get spots either by the window or maybe their dark nook in the back. (you'll know when you visit). So so good... I'm not sure I want to go anywhere else at this point for my ethio fix!

I was greeted by warm and welcoming customer service. I stopped in as soon as the restaurant opened and was able to choose my own table. These herbs helped digest your food and calm the senses. Ethiopian cuisine is like medicine to the body and soul! The sambusas were so delicious and warming!!! The sauce that came with it was very warming and flavorful! I felt both fulfilled and like my senses were singing! The lamb tibs were simply divine! Juicy, tender, and flavorful! It is a nice treat and well worth it! Cheers!

It was easily 4 people's worth of food, but more importantly, delicious. The veggie combo had the best shiro and collards I've had in awhile as well as delicious beets, two varieties of lentil (misir wot and another name unknown), cabbage & carrot gomen, fried potatoes, salad and yellow split peas. I am usually not as keen on yellow split peas but we thought these were better than average. The doro wot was excellent and for the first time ever, came with two drumsticks. I seriously have never gotten more than one drumstick anywhere else. It was easily twice the size of other doro wot portions. It had a decent amount of heat but probably not as much as our other favorite places. It was by no means bland though, it was excellent, just not as spicy as others (still very spicy by Marylander standards, be warned). The veggies though are mostly milder while also being well seasoned. You get a choice of injera; local injera is a blend that is not gluten free and is included in the price. You can get the 100% teff for an upcharge of 3.50. We aren't celiac so went with the local and it was still good for our tastes. We stuffed ourselves and still had probably 2/3 of the food left so will be enjoying it for a couple more days. The meal came in under $50 and seemed a bargain comparatively when balancing quality and quantity. We will definitely return! Oh, I should add: Service is very friendly, but this is not a super fast place so plan accordingly. It is very clean and attractive, bathrooms clean too. They have a couple small metal tables out front if you want to enjoy the weather, but it might be a little loud as it's right on the street.
