He shared some of the popular entrées as well as his favorite. I had the limoncello martini, which was absolutely delicious. The lemon and vanilla had the perfect pairing flavor that made for a refreshing drink. And then I had the chicken Milanese for an entree. The chicken was nice and crispy and the flavors were just well put together. The highlight of the dish with the tahini sauce, which was a nice twist. At the end of the dinner, he surprised our friend with olive oil cake, which was so delicious. Recently, I have tried olive cake and it has definitely been a nice different treat instead of the usual dessert offerings. Would love to return soon when visiting Tampa again!

When we arrived, we were told there would be a short wait because a few tables had paid but hadn't left yet. About 15 minutes passed, but every staff member was incredibly kind throughout the process. They even came outside and brought us complimentary champagne to apologize, which immediately set the tone for the night. We hadn't even sat down yet, and they had already made us feel valued. From the moment we walked inside, the atmosphere was incredible. The energy, the ambiance, and the service exceeded every expectation I had for my first Michelin restaurant experience. Our server, Elijah, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, intentional, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience. Sophie also gave fantastic wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our entrées. The mozzarella cart is an absolute must. There is no reason to visit Rocca and skip it. While it was being prepared, we had the opportunity to talk with Mason about life, goals, and dreams, and it felt like talking with an old friend. Later, after mentioning how much we loved the music, Kingston came over, found out we were in town for the J. Cole concert, and played J. Cole throughout the rest of the evening. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the night even more memorable. To top it off, the restaurant brought us additional complimentary bites as another apology for the initial wait, even though we already felt they had gone above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Two people in our group have spent significant time in Italy, and both said it was the best Italian food they've had anywhere in America. We finished the evening with espresso, stayed until closing, and never once felt rushed. In fact, we were told they would happily stay all night if we wanted to keep enjoying ourselves. We throughly enjoyed every dish and the explanations behind them. The wine pairings were also perfect and had a great pour for each. I also was able to try items I never would have ordered. Expanding my pallet is always a fun time and they did a fabulous job. The restaurant itself was very clean, and had a great vibe to it! We celebrated a big life celebration and they made sure to make me feel celebrated, even as a stranger. We loved every second of our experience, which was crafted so perfectly by Taylor C. **Tampa Bay's New Espresso Martini Champion!!**…read more Wow, I came here once for a yelp event like a year ago, and never once returned. I walk past here on the time on my way to Yard House and thought I'd finally stop in again and try some cocktails and food. Whoops, jokes on me for waiting this long to come back. The Edition Hotel next door used to have the best espresso martinis, but they've since changed their ingredients and in general the cocktails over there have tanked. Boulon still makes great cocktails, but hello we have a new challenger at Ash. I loved the espresso martini here. Flavor, espresso, cocoa powder all spot on. Plus it's only $17. A lot cheaper than most of the other bars around here. I also had a $19 Let me be clear. For whatever reason, only Santos Kitchen down the street knows how to make a fabulous mezcal drink. I also had a $25 Tonnarelli. OMG! When pesto is done right it's always my favorite sauce for pasta. This dish was freaking phenomenal. I might go back tomorrow and have another one. Super impressed both times I've been here. Not sure why I haven't ever kept this spot in the rotation, but I need to.
