Absolutely love American Social. The food, location are perfect for a date night or a place to meet up at. Been here a few times but finally got a chance to take the wife. I absolutely love the drinks here as they are playful and unique. The wife and I shared the Garden pizza. It's a veggie pizza with a pesto base. It was fantastic! The pesto was just right. Not over powering at all and still taste the flavors of the other veggies. Highly recommend. My favor drink here is the manhattan but it's a play on manhattan with peanut butter screw ball whiskey and a pbandj sandwich. Very smooths and relaxing. Service here has always been great. Staff is very nice and always accommodating! Parking can be a hit or miss but they do have a parking garage under the buildings. It does cost if you don't get your ticket validated. read more

This is a great waterfront spot just over the walking bridge from the convention center. It can be busy so prepare to wait. On a recommendation from our server I ordered the Tuna Poke, and I must say that young lady steered me right! It was full of flavor and made to perfection. The tuna was clearly sushi grade and served perfectly chilled. My lunch partner ordered the turkey club and found it really good, but be aware it had a bit of a kick to it. He was not sure if it was the turkey or possibly spicy mayo that contributed to the heat. Nonetheless, he enjoyed it. Stopped into American social for brunch and had a delightful experience. The service was great and the music selection was great for Sunday Brunch. I ordered the guava Mojito cocktail and fruity pebble chicken and waffles. The dish was a really huge portion. Food is amazing! I ordered salmon and it was so good. The salmon is perfectly cooked I even finished the whole plate lol. We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday and had a few delicious cocktails. Our waitress Piper is very nice, attentive and took good care of our table, even helped us celebrate my daughter's birthday with a celebratory shot. Came in for a quick bite since we were at a nearby event, and the fish and chips did not disappoint. My hubby does NOT like fish, and after tasting mine (to entertain me of course, lol), he actually thought the breading was pretty good! This place was pretty busy, and though we didn't get the service we should have, we also kept in mind that perfect weather weekends was going to have this place super busy. Amso is one of my favorite establishments on the planet. I went for my birthday yesterday for happy hour and had THE BEST time yet again. The staff (Hope & Nicole mainly - incredible wait staff) were able to accommodate all of our requests for 20 people!!!! They brought out bottle service with birthday signs & my favorite dessert there (the carrot cake) with a candle. Truly so special. They have one of the best happy hours ever (4-7pm weekdays $6 - I recommend the skinny marg of guava mojito and so many deals running 24/7 dip duo: 2 apps for $20, I'll have what she's having (drink & food deals Thursday nights), & so many more. They are always keeping everything fun & fresh. They are always revamping their menu, keeping things exciting, & ultimately giving the people what they want!!!! They recently upgraded their brunch menu items and before that added a bunch of new apps like chicken tenders (BOMB), fish dip, crispy avocado fries and delicious handhelds like green goddess chicken Caesar wrap & chicken salad sandwich (both of which were much needed in my opinion as 2 of my fav foods ever) AND a FIRE spicy vodka rigatoni (I like to add the short rib). My friends always love to get the oysters because duh and by far my favorite menu item that I RAVE about is the green goddess salmon - brown butter carrot puree, Brussels, cranberries, crispy leeks..... need I say more. It's unreal & consistently incredible. Whenever I get a handheld I make sure to upgrade to the spicy ranch wedges (seasoned move) but their fries are also SOLID. I also love love love their soft pretzels app that comes with a fire queso BUT make sure to also ask for a side of their honey mustard. Top tier stuff. I put my friends onto the loaded guac yesterday and they were levitating. If you haven't been to amso, it is a MUST. Hosted my birthday brunch at American Social and had the best time! They made me feel so special with a birthday sign, and our server was incredibly attentive. I had the steak and eggs, which were absolutely delicious! I've been to American Social plenty of times before, and it's always a good experience. I love the vibe and hanging out there more than anything. They do have good drinks too, so no complaints. The only downside I've noticed is that when I stopped in to watch college football on a Saturday, they didn't have the Big Ten Network (at least that's what our server said), so we ended up leaving. Had a fun girls night out at American Social for happy hour. I finally got to see what the hype was about. We sat outside and got beautiful views of Tampa's Riverwalk. Even at 6pm, it was still so hot and would recommend to sit inside next time, then head outside to enjoy the views. The food was SO good and their passionfruit margaritas were such a hit with us. So refreshing and full of flavor . Our service was outstanding. Our waitress kept checking on us which is a plus for me! I had the crispy truffleshroom burger with truffle fries and I recommend it, if you love mushrooms! So delicious. My family and I visited AMSO the other night for a late lunch/early dinner and asked for a table on the patio (we brought out dog with us). I was so glad to see that they had such a nice patio and I appreciated how dog friendly this spot was! The menu had a lot of great choices and the cocktail menu was also expansive! Our server was super quick at bringing us water and taking our drink orders. When we were ready to order, she answered questions and made recommendations. I asked for the grilled shrimp tacos and couldn't wait to try them. The cocktails were really good and when the food came out, the tacos were not just grilled to perfection, but extremely flavorful. I was so glad that I ordered them. Just the right amount of food. The location is simply divine as the patio overlooks the water and we could enjoy the sunset while enjoying a cocktail and some food. PB&J Old Fashion was unique (the small PB&J slipped down the stick so by the time it was retrieved, it was already soaked in alcohol.) Ambiance: It was pretty crowded, so I think that's why it was so loud there. It was pretty difficult to hear the person across the table. View of the riverwalk is nice. However the Area Manager Jason Thompson was so gracious and invited us to come back. So Easter Sunday 2025 was the day. I want to shout out our server Ashley. Amazing. Sweet. Very attentive. Ashley made our time there memorable. She made recommendations. She was patient. Loved it. My drink of choice was the Naughty Margarita. 10 out of 10. And for my entree had the Santa Fe Turkey Club with fries. It was pretty good. My granddaughter had a cheese pizza. She finished it all. She's definitely a fan. Overall the ReDo was good. I wish I could give half stars because American Social is a solid 3.5. The restaurant has a great vibe. It was trendy, modern, and lively. When we went on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., there was music playing and the atmosphere was upbeat. We sat outside with a great view, and the people watching was top tier. I've honestly never seen so much spandex in one place at one time in my life. Our server was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. My friend and I ordered iced teas (some of the best we've had anywhere), and she kept them coming without missing a beat. She even brought us a carafe and extra ice since it was melting fast. The food, however, is why this place lands at 3.5 stars instead of 5. Deviled eggs appetizer: good, but nothing special. The eggs were a little small. Santa Fe Turkey Club: tasted good, but one side of the bread was unevenly sliced, making it awkward to eat. I upgraded to the ranch wedges after the waitress said they were crispy and worth it. They were fine, but not crispy. My friend said they were very salty and couldn't finish the wedge. Chai yogurt (my girl friend's order): total miss. There was less yogurt than what I had in the two tiny complimentary hotel breakfast cups, and the granola came in solid blocks that required some serious chiseling. Chicken Caesar (my friend's order): looked dry and tasted dry. Bottom line was great service and atmosphere, average food. It's a great place to hang out and get drinks at the bar but I wouldn't be back for food. read more

I've had the following recently: Beyond burger: 10/10 Fantastic. The sauce really makes it great. Cooked perfectly. Hummus: 9/10 Hummus is good. Love the toppings. The best part about it was the watermelon radish slices to dip in it. I've never liked radishes but these were great and had the perfect crunch and texture to go with hummus. The pita bread was okay.
