I stopped in during a heavy rainstorm because my battery died and my wipers were shot. Isaiah came right out, had a new battery installed in what felt like 2 minutes, and replaced my wiper blades while getting soaked in the rain. The service was fast, professional, and honestly above and beyond anything I expected. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about helping customers the way Isaiah does. Amazing service! I had a burnt out headlight for my Honda accord and I went in trying to get brighter headlights. I haven't really been able to tell if my headlights were on, that's how dim they've been. So I asked this nice young woman behind the counter if she can look up my car and let me know which headlights were brightest and she set me up. I then mentioned that I just had to figure out how to actually install them and she took it upon herself to help me out! Sara was amazing! She walked outside, I popped my hood and within a few minutes, I had two brand new headlights installed. Nothing to pop up off or anything! I then went back in and bought a cleaning solution on her recommendation and, WHOA! It's a night and day difference! I can finally see my headlights at night! While I could have probably ordered the headlights online for cheaper, I am so glad I didn't! Thank you so much, Sara, for going above and beyond your job description! I am definitely going back to Advanced Auto Parts any time I need something for my car. :) read more

Keep driving. Don't even bother to stop. I was a regular customer there until I bought a new battery, and had it installed. DieHard - was already dead!!! In need of a re-charge. When they installed another one I drove home and for the heck of it decided to start the car after parking it home. Car was dead. DEAD! Improperly installed. (HOW???) Next day after a jump start I got to the store and was handed a 10 cent piece of metal and then they WALKED AWAY!!! LEFT ME IN THE PARKING LOT WITH A CAR I WAS AFRAID TO TURN OFF. I know this review don't mean squat but if I could give a negative review on the older chick there, I would. I called there to get a mirror kit for an old car. Was told that I had to come in and order one. No problem. Went in same day, ordered it and payed for it, including a shipping fee. Went in the day I was told it was going to be in. The older chick, who was pissed off because I got there right as she was about to go for her smoke break. With her cig in her hand, went in the back, came back with an attitude like it was my fault, telling me "it's not here... UPS is late... Come back tomorrow." I just laughed at her and said, OK WHATEVER. Esp since I will NEVER win any argument in Bayonne. Went in next day, went to the young kid at the register because the old chick was already pointing at me, "Said it wasn't coming in." I told her I went back because she told me that it would be in. She said "I said it wasn't in." NICE what ever. She went back bullshitting came back out. Nope. Asked the kid for a refund and lost $6 for a shipping fee for a product I never received in the time I was told it would be. I may be the only idiot who went there who had this problem with this chick who I'm sure the higher ups would probably say that she's misunderstood or whatever bullshit. But if you see and old chick there, go back in your car and don't waste your time. read more

One representative from this location (African American female with dreadlocks) was extremely unprofessional, rude, lacked customer service skills, and when I asked for my change back, she literally through the money back at me. She's lucky I was rushing to work, otherwise I would of asked for a manager and reported her behavior. That is not how you talk to or treat a loyal customer. I've been coming to this location for several years and never experienced such rude customer service. I would hope to never encounter that again next time I come and purchase a part for my vehicle. read more

Came in on NYE because my brake light was out and most auto shops were closed so I figured I'd DIY it. The employee helped me find the correct brake light and tried to install it for me but the screw securing my light was stuck. Another employee came out to help and used a ratchet to open the screws, install my light and clean up at no additional cost. I'm definitely not a car expert so having that little bit of help getting my light in was so nice and everyone was so helpful! read more

Just AWFUL!!!! I walked into the Bayonne store just to buy a particular type of tire and wheel cleaner for a friend but having never been inside this store in my life I had no idea where anything is located. I saw a younger female clerk behind the register but she was busy so I walked around to search for it myself. I saw other tire products upfront but not what I was looking for. If you have never been inside this store you will need to get a visual of the set up. They have counters and gaps between them and what I absoulty assumed to be aisles behind the counters. There are NO signs saying employees only as the entire "back" of the store is open. I walked to the left and turned right assuming naturally that I was walking down any other aisle. I then found tire cleaners but not the one I needed. At the moment I picked up my phone to show a clerk the item need a middle aged man started to SCREAM at me, " What are you doing?" I politely told him what brand I needed and tried to show him a picture but he told me to ask upfront and yelled, ..."wearhouse!" Ummmm....excuse me but what store has a completely open wearhouse??? They have no signage to indicate its a wearhouse. Normal stores have the back closed off or some barrier to impede people from walking into the storage area but not this place. I then saw the female clerk again as I walked up front but she to would not fully answer my question. I also explained to her I had no idea I was in the back of the store as there is zero signs telling you so. She pointed to the wall where the item might be but NOT to the exact item. I had to search for it myself. As I am doing so she and the guy in the non existent "wearhouse" had a convo about me! Really....WTF...instead of assisting a customer you to idiots decide to talk about the customer!!! I found the item eventually, paid and left and will NOT be back again. Is this how it is at other Advance locations? No possible reason to ever shop there as there are so many other options including a new auto parts store just a quater mile south on 440. Advance needs to seriously redesign this store and spend a few pennies on signage and customer service training ASAP. read more

Don't know what happened. I used to frequent this establishment but over the last 6 months it has gone downhill. The service is absolutely horrible. First My pregnant wife was told they were too busy to install windshield wipers. Now twice in the last 2 weeks I was told their code scanner was broken. By the disinterested look on their faces I believe they may be lying either way shape up. read more
