So, I checked out online, if they even carried my tires and they had them! So, I called and the sales person checked to make sure if he had them in stock and they had 6, so yeesss! Then I asked him, what are the chances the tires could be put on today, and he responded, come on over!!! That was great! Out we headed and when I arrived, I was waited on immediately and I was in and out of there in about 30 mins!!! The staff were friendly and helpful and very polite. I know that I probably caught them on a "not so busy time", but either way, I was pleased. While we waited in the garage, they have seating with a tv to watch and a little kids table with coloring books and crayons, which was great for me, since I had a couple of kids with me. Merry F_____ Christmas, stranded in a whiteout trying to get to Christmas dinner. A nice guy from ME DOT switched the passenger side to the drivers side and got me back on the road. A big shout out to Randy! I went to O'Reilly, and the same fellow who helped me the last visit, tried in earnest to help me again. See RON. He did not have the exact wiper because my car is new and has a new attachment. WHY do they do this? Wipers have been staying on cars for decades with no problem (just don't snap them), so why the hell do they need to confound the public with half a dozen different attachments!?? Ron tried several, intent on getting it to work, alas only not to be rewarded for his effort. I had to go to VW. But Ron is the epitome of great customer service. As another example, Ron told me if you're driving and feel a vibration, it's the snow and ice in the wheel. Sure enough, next day, I'm driving and thinking what is wrong NOW?!! Then remembered his sage advice. Once I got the embedded snow out of the wheels, all was well. Had Ron not offered that advice, I would have been spending time taking the car to the dealer. We hvae never felt "taken" as we have at auto dealership service departments or chain store repair shoppes (which shall remain unnamed...VIP auto:). They also saved us from a few bad used car purchases by their pre purchase inspections. Anyway the world needs more honest repair shops that are family run like this.
