I was clearly discriminated against when I came in asking to purchase a 2015 Honda Accord battery under my grandparents dealership account when I realized that because they no longer have this dealership that the account may no longer be active (all while on speakerphone with my grandmother) ultimately we decided just to purchase outright not under a dealership account at this point, all employees have went behind the counter where I am unable to see and our whispering she comes from behind the counter asked if I happen to have my ID with me (ma'am it's illegal to not carry identification with you) yes I do, then proceeds with the transaction get my grandmother's card numbers from her via my phone, charges the card, charge goes through. She lets my grandmother know and hands the phone back. I end the call with my grandmother and then they keep me in the establishment for 10 minutes telling me it needs to process and they made a signature....fine I sign at this point I should be able to leave. I am then asked for my ID after purchase has already been made and I've already waited to sign. I handover my ID willingly but then asking why do you need my ID? They proceed to tell me that they don't even need to do this. They are doing me a favor. Then proceeds to ask me did we not tell you that we were gonna use your ID no sir you did not. I was just asked if I had it on me. Looks at his employee. And doesn't even acknowledge. The fact if this is a business establishment and you are not supposed to do it I don't want a favor from you and I proceeded to let him know if it was going to be a problem we live in 2026 now and I could've just had my grandmother Zelle me the money and it could've been on my credit card. Because he did not like my reasonable answer on how you can not discriminate and still follow YOUR WORK rules. I HIGHLY SUGGEST AUTOZONE DO A FULL FIRE AND HIRE. Only porta-potties and minimal hand washing available, I always bring other clothes and shoes because no matter how hard they try, junkyards are dusty, oily, _filthy_ places . I pulled the metal headlight protectors(they look like iron bars kind of) for the front of my Land Rover and when I brought it up one girl told me it was going to be $5 but somehow I ended up with another gal finally checking me out and she tried to charge me. $25. I told her the other girl quoted $5 and the girl confirmed but she would not honor that price (and I don't believe she was a manager). Now today I wanted to exchange something that was clearly marked with the receipt but because it was past the 30 day refund period by less than two weeks they would not let me exchange it because they both were so worried about "getting flagged". The worst part is we come in here all the time, like. Once a week at least and we have bought tons of things that did not end up working out but just eat the cost no big deal, we actually have never returned anything so it's not like we are habitual returners or problem customers . The two employees wouldn't direct me to a supervisor to ask and told me to email them and figure out the email address from the website. I wish there was another one closer so I could boycott... I will attempt to asich as possible. . Conclusion - very disappointed
