KLQ (the parent corporation) recently lowered most prices . If you're buying common parts from common cars, prolly wise to pay the few more $ for the warranty, they have NO WAY TO CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY so don't get mad, if you're unsure either buy the warranty or if it's some obscure or older vehicle they won't get in often, skip the warranty co$t and take a flier . If that's not good enough, buy a new or rebuilt part elsewhere . We Professional Mechanics _LOVE_ this place because _we_ get to chose what we buy, not some yard ape . Only porta-potties and minimal hand washing available, I always bring other clothes and shoes because no matter how hard they try, junkyards are dusty, oily, _filthy_ places . The pricing here has become exorbitant to say the least. They were going to charge me $90 for a radiator from a 1991 Toyota Corolla. That's almost what they cost new from what I've seen. Another time. I pulled the metal headlight protectors(they look like iron bars kind of) for the front of my Land Rover and when I brought it up one girl told me it was going to be $5 but somehow I ended up with another gal finally checking me out and she tried to charge me. $25. I told her the other girl quoted $5 and the girl confirmed but she would not honor that price (and I don't believe she was a manager). Now today I wanted to exchange something that was clearly marked with the receipt but because it was past the 30 day refund period by less than two weeks they would not let me exchange it because they both were so worried about "getting flagged". The worst part is we come in here all the time, like. Once a week at least and we have bought tons of things that did not end up working out but just eat the cost no big deal, we actually have never returned anything so it's not like we are habitual returners or problem customers . The two employees wouldn't direct me to a supervisor to ask and told me to email them and figure out the email address from the website. I wish there was another one closer so I could boycott... Went there to buy a car, the prices were fair so I paid for one..then I started having second thoughts and decided that before I took possession of the vehicle I should put a stop on the whole deal..Haley was helping me and seemed annoyed that I was backing out. She told me it would take 2-3 days for the money to be returned to my account but never gave me anything in writing that she had actually refunded my money..well now 6 days later and still no money, she then had the nerve to say it was my banks fault..finally had to dispute the charges..not pleased at all with my experience and will never go there again..I do not recommend this business due to poor customer service read more

Guys in the yard lent me some tools so that I could rip the faces off a couple of Dodges. Got a 10% discount (after bartering a bit). Some of the parts worked perfectly. Was able to return one of the leftover parts (though not all of them) WITHOUT RECEIPT. No complaints. **One tip**: determine whether or not you're really willing to spend hours in a post-apocalyptic car wasteland reminiscent of Mad Max, sweating your butt off, scraping yourself on rusty car parts, and sticking your hands into vehicles that may or may not be filled with live creatures. I was trying to sell a jaguar to them i got a price which was under 300; and the car in good shape just needs a battery and key parts for inside , they told I needed a bill of sale from dmv since i don't have the title it was lost .I got that took it to them now they want a junk paper .there giving me the run around and it bull I won't take it there .the main pick and pull said a bill of sale and my license and they would come get it .the guy that was in there was a total jerk not very friendly or helpful at all. I have their app so finding what I needed was smooth and precise. Then for 4 medium items valued new at $60 for under a 10th the price.

They had what I needed at good prices. The inventory seemed fine, and the manager, Tim, knows his stuff.

Chico pick and pull is definitely one of the best pick and pulls I've ever been to they always have what I need great prices and friendly staff. And the manager Tim really knows his stuff. Went today to get a part which online says don't close till "6 pm" but nope got told 4:30 that 6 is summer schedule. Ok well why not change it? They still gave us ten minutes to go get part didn't tell exactly where they'd be so we looked around wasting time finally found it got part was walking out to pay and they say it's to late they are closed come back tomorrow. We live out of town and went through this trouble to get told this? Why say ten minutes than not let us even pay for it and leave it behind. I'll most likely get part tomorrow because only one I have found for my car but will not want to come back again. I'll just have to try find somewhere else. read more

Used to be a great place, but new employees have made it not a good customer experience.

Drove about 3 hours to this location. Although the vehicle in the yard had what I was looking for,let's focus on customer service. Specifically the sales lead, Haley. She was rude upon my arrival. Had me wait 10 minutes to gain entry due to training a new employee but did not apologize for long wait and she'd be with us as soon as she could. I had to figure that out for myself. She checked my backpack as if I was bringing contraband into the facility, every small zipper opened. She damaged my property and the manager, Michelle, refused to do anything about it. Upon leaving,I was denied by core charge refund even though it was only $5. I was well within the time frame to receive the refund, but Haley "the sales lead" decided that she did not want to refund me even after I carried the heavy part I exchanged out to the location they told me. After I dropped off the part, she then told me I put the part in the wrong spot even though that's where her co-worker directed me to place it at. I've been going to Pick N' Pull for over 15 years now and have never had such a horrible experience until now with the Chico location and the staff hired to run the yard. I feel they are very racist & like to play games with their customers. I strongly recommend to steer clear of this yard and to go elsewhere because although I got the part I needed, I left with $280 damaged property from the sales lead, Haley....but most importantly felt disrespected. read more

A couple of tips:1- DO NOT LOSE YOUR RECEIPT!! The staff knows you have a core but can do nothing about it without the receipt, corporate bull@$#%. I lost ALOT of money because of this crap. 2- price the parts before you pull them, sometimes it is worth it to just order new because their pricing is way off and the bull @#%^ core charges for things that should not have core charges. Don't forget to BRING YOUR OWN TOOLS. It is hit or miss on parts. But worth it when they have what you need.

No help from staff, can't see if it works on YOUR car until after you purchase it and of course, NEVER a refund if it doesn't fit. For just a little bit more you can buy the real thing, don't buy here and waste money and then have to buy the REAL thing anyway. Customer service was snotty at best. Filing a claim with BBB and stopping payment on the credit card. We should not have to pay for something we did not get. read more

I went into the store for a battery for my car, when I told guys in the front that I needed help they jumped into action and found me a battery quickly. I paid 33 dollars for a tail light on a Volkswagen. A few dollars more and I could have just driving to the Volkswagen dealer on Broadway street and gotten it there. The employees there are jerks. Their pricing is off. You will get charged about 5 bucks for the simplest interior piece and you will be charged a lot for the bigger pieces. A lot more. And they're not very friendly. When I first walked in the kids were messing around. Talking crap to each other. No big deal. A little unprofessional but not a big deal. They did have a good selection of the car I was looking for. However, once I took everything up to the counter to purchase all the items they told me it was going to be $117.00. I had 4 window cranks. They charge $7.99 a piece for them. You can buy on Car Parts.com for $3.99. Then I had a wiring harness. Price for that wasn't to bad $3.00. I bought a window regulator. At first the kid at the counter tried to over charge me because he thought it was a motorized window regulator. When I started complaining about the prices he said he realized that it was s manual regulator and not automatic. So price was reduced. I also wanted to purchase a bumper. The bumper had a good size crack in it yet they still wsnted to charge me their full price of $45.00. I did not purchase the bumper. When I left my total was $45.00. I could have payed close to the ssme if I bought the stuff new. These prices are ridiculous! This is a Junkyard not a retail store! The prices at a Junkyard should never ever be more than purchasing the parts new! I will not be going back anytime soon! Overall my dealings with Pick and Pull would come out as a 1 star, that being said the Chico one is probably the best one I ve been too for actually having half way decent and friendly customer service, and a good not terribly picked over selection of parts, so its with that I reluctantly give 2 stars..... That being said I have a couple pieces of advice for the would be shopper here or at any yard carrying the PnP name. First off unless your desperate for an item or maybe if its super rare never shop here unless its one of their half off days, then and only then can you get a halfway good price on stuff. Otherwise by the time they get done reaming you with the regular price, the stupid core charge on everything under the sun, environmental fees and tax you would have been better off to just buy new. I mean that seriously too, many times a new item can be found online cheaper if you just look. I understand some of those fees are state mandated and not the companies fault, but the cores ? Cmon management give me a break, I know they say its to offset the cost of any money they are losing on the scrap prices but ummmm your already making that up by selling all the little nick knacks at majorly inflated prices, you don't have to stick it to us again. Hell I ve even heard employees talking to each other about how bad they feel ripping off the customers all the time. Secondly and this is the big thing that got me just recently, and the thing which means I will probably not be patronizing any PnP's again unless really needed. Three separate times in the last few months I ve bought a few items, and thought the final bill came out awfully high. Each time on questioning the clerk they list all the fee's / cores etc. Then say oh and theres X $ for the extended protection plan. Well that's funny because I sure didn't ask for that, and you sure didnt ask if I wanted it. Seems like they are just tacking on extended plans to everything that is eligible without asking, makes me wonder how many unsuspecting folks are getting overcharged for something they never wanted or needed. I hope somebody from the company reads this as this is really shady business practice from a company that I already consider to have some pretty shady habits.
