I went into the O`Reilly's on Mangrove this evening. A very nice young man named Alex helped me with purchase. I asked if he could put the windshield wipers on for me, (I am a senior citizen and that kind of thing is hard for me to do). He told me he would be happy to help me with the windshield wipers. He was very personable. He had the wipers on in no time at all. I also said that my brake fluid might be low. He gladly checked it. He was very professional and worked efficiently. One star is too much. The employees intimidated my daughter and myself as we were running errands at another business 8n the same parking lot. The employees wanted to park their Oreilys trucks 8n the shade where I was already parked. We were enjoying lunch waiting on a family member running errands and we were aggressively walked up on by a male and then a large female who told us to move. When I politely told the employees this was a public park8ng lot and there was no no parking signs, its a fully public parking lot for more than just Oreilys. The employees c9nt8nued to harrass us until I had to raise my voice and tell them I would indeed not be moving. I contacted corporate demanding someth8ng be done. These people should not be allowed to run up on a woman and daughter and intimidate them to try to get us to move. We finally moved when the woman's threat of her hitt8ng my car with theirs seemed like she was going to carry it out. They were like a method induced pack of wolves. We felt very intimidated and scared that they would actually hit my v3hicle and I have a nice vehicle. Im very put off that a business in wonderful Chico could have employees like that who intimidate women and children. Horrible experience. Friend came in with her 2 babies and employee Cherokee replaced her battery not even making sure the terminals were tight. She left and sure enough they vibrated lose. Came back a few hrs later and he was the rudest kid ever. Said he tighten them and was not his problem. I wish this auto part chains would give a shit about getting a family home safe. HUGE shoutout to the manager, Cameron. I drove in from 250 miles away and my check engine light popped on. I dropped by this O'Reilly's and they had a free OBDII diagnosis service. Cameron found that I was having a cylinder misfire and he got me exactly what I needed. He even brought his own tools out and helped replace it! My battery was within warranty and they agreed on that, but I had used my ex girlfriends # to buy it or for some reason my number didn't work. Would not honor the warranty because I did not have the #. Which I was not told when I bought it which is CA state law. They said it was on the receipt. I don't like being lied to about warranties. They will not refund or return much of anything they promise. I was forced to buy another $170 battery because I was in a tight spot with a contract and had to have it. This battery also died but I have yet to return it because I know dealing with them will ruin my whole week. read more

Today was the second time i walked out of O'Reilly's after waiting for 5-10 minutes without being helped. The first time one of the guys at the counter was fingerblasting his phone while wearing a ball cap and not looking up. I left in disgust- if they don't want my business I'm not giving it to them. Service was okay, but I wish I had gone to a regular battery change place. Battery's are much cheaper at Costco, and at Les Swabs I would not have had to help change out my own battery, plus I was told they did not have an area to wash my hands. They stated the bathroom no longer worked and handed me some baby wipes and sanitizer. I was surprised as prior at other stores I have not run into this issue. Not going to go back. read more

The review is regarding Ashley B. I am a regular customer at this auto parts store and buy most of the parts i need for my 3 vehicles at this establishment. I came in for a warranty replacement of a clutch cable that failed after 9 months. The customer service rep was very helpful, told the cable was covered under warranty but was not I stock. The replacment was ordered and would be in the following morning. When I came back the next morning Ashley B was very confused about the warranty proceedure and could not locate my original sales invoice in the computer. As I attempted to provide the information she needed she became increasingly frustrated and was VERY rude to me. I explained the situation again in detail and she continued to be rude. I provided the exact date of purchase in an effort to make things easier, and she continued to treat me poorly. I asked her why she was getting upset and she continued to be rude. After quite a bit of time had passed she finally found the info she was looking she for, in a huff, she slapped the reciept down, push the part across the counter, and simply said "here". I was blown away at her lack of customers service skills. I felt very offended at the way I was treated. Ive never experienced such horrible service anywhere. Im not even sure why she was so upset. I was very polite, I was actually having a great day up untill that point, in fact I was happy the were able to warranty the part. I am very disappointed with Ashley B and will be taking my future business across the street to Pep Boys. read more

Their parts are quality and the members reward program is great. The service at this location is VERY slow. Every time I go in, there's maybe 5 people in the store, and ONE guy at the counter. Usually 10 minute wait ater I've chosen what I want to buy. read more

I sent my Niece to this store since she was out of town and had a headlight out. Oreilly stores are known for replacing bulbs, windshield wipers and even batteries if they're not too busy. She was the only customer in the store and they wouldn't even come out to look at her headlight. I'm disappointed since I know this is not the company's policy. read more
