I went into the O`Reilly store tonight and had a really nice young man named Alex help me with windshield wipers. I asked if he was able to put them on for me (since I am a senior citizen and it was hard for me to do). He told me he'd be happy to help with my windshield wipers. He was very personable. He had them on in no time at all. He was very helpful and I told him that one of my fluids might be low and he checked that for me also. He worked efficiently and was very professional. I was driving to Redding and along the way, one of windshield wipers broke loose and flew off. Luckily the rain was just a mist and I could make it to the location to get a new set of wiper blades. They found some in stock and after I requested, even installed them. The willingness to help me was what sealed the deal and will come back and recommend. read more

just returned from making a purchase at this location. The associate behind the register must've been having a very bad day. No smile no greeting no friendliness. Asked questions and then got impatient when I did not have an immediate answer. When I asked to clarify his question, he became condescending and huffed with what appeared to be indignation and impatience. As if I were to know everything about my vehicle when I came in. Well, I don't. That was why I asked for help. He had to computer and the resource and I suspect Nagy I haven't got. At least I hope he had knowledge I don't have. I can tell you, though that I will not go back to that location as much as I love O'Reilly's. I will not shop there again . It was highly unpleasant. I will find another O'Reilly. My van had died on me in the speedway across the street, my boyfriend ran across to oreilys and their employee Kusiah was quick to run across the street and assist us with a new battery. Frankly I was expecting more cooperation from reviews I had seen. Yes I admit to have very little knowledge on the subject of auto shades, to keep the heat coming from the windshield deteriorate the leather from the constant hot sun. I kind of expected an enthusiastic dialogue to determine the best option. Not to be. Simply put the level of assistance, on an empty store, was minimal. I guess Amazon would have been a much better place to spend the money for two vehicles. I had to go back to my car in the already hot temperature, around 10:30 AM, and read the reviews of the few choices. So I sold myself, not thrilled with the results. Attitude was not encouraging. What gets me the most is that the salesperson hands me a Jumbo sunshade like he knew exactly what he was doing, and when I questioned that in a friendly way, he acted all mighty/superior, but he was dead wrong. I wish I could sell him something that does not work see how he would like it. Will not be returning the products as when I inquired if I could, the answer was "as long as it's intact" or something to that effect. So I got taken for a bad ride while having to keep the jumbo sunshade sold. 1 Star. read more

Had to stop by this auto parts store after work with my husband because our car was acting up. After jumping the car battery in order to even drive there, I prayed it was just a bad battery and not the starter or alternator. We walked into the store and were immediately helped by a guy named Mike. He came out to our car with a little computer that looked like a Speak n' Spell and quickly determined that it was a bad battery. Whew! Mike took our old one out, disposed of it the legal way, and put a new one in quickly. The car started right up. With the exception of having to buy a new battery, Mike did this all at no charge and was very pleasant the entire time. Car issues and troubleshooting them are not my forte. But the stress of the situation vanished by the outstanding customer service we received that drizzly late afternoon. We will DEFINITELY be returning customers purely based on on that. Plus the store is well stocked with anything you might need to work on, maintain, or clean your vehicles. O'Reilly's is this girls auto parts store. read more

Gabe was so knowledgeable and helpful! It all started when I was not sure what type of air filter my car needed and then Gabe came to my rescue. Not only did Gabe personally walk me to my car to check my filter but he taught me how to check what parts my car needs for future reference. Gabe showed me where a sticker is located under my hood, that I did not even know I had and then he offered to show me how to replace the filter! Gabe had a smile the whole time and I would def come back to O'Reilly for all my future parts needs! read more

I purchased a new bulb for one that was burned out on my car from the O'Reilly's in Ft. Bragg. A family member offered to install it for me and said it was the wrong one. I took it in for exchange at the O'Reilly's on Notre Dame and the computer pulled up the same number. Abe who works there went out to my car and pulled the old one to see and sure enough it was the right one after all. Abe replaced the burned out bulb for me and sent me on the way. He was so nice! i got a new car a few weeks ago and its got great gas mileage, so I thought I would head to Yosemite during Christmas break. i don't know much about cars and my friend said I should get tire chains. When I went inside there were 3 guys at the front. The first one was older and when I told him I was looking for tire chains, he quoted me the most expensive price they run (I did my research on price before going in). He asked me my tire size.... I didn't know... he sent me to go find out. When I got back in, he was busy, so another guy helped me. He asked me my tire size.... I still wasn't sure I had the right numbers (even after checking) but before I could say "I'm not sure" he asked me if my car was here and went outside to show me how to find out. When we got back in, he gave me a range of options in my budget, answered my questions about how and when to put them on, and was really helpful. Thanks second dude! Hope your other guy gets an attitude check. This store is WAY smaller than the Pepboys I used to go to in San Diego, but seemed to have all the basics. Probably will go back and get some more things for my car like floor mats, especially since it is right by my office. read more

Terrible customer service. Save yourself some hassle and go to Pep Boys instead. Went into O'Reillys to get wipers, the guy quoted me the wrong price, and then when I told him I couldn't pay that much at checkout, he didn't have any cheaper options. I had to buy a single wiper cuz there wasn't anything affordable ($45 was their cheapest pair when I'm use to paying $25 at pep boys). I asked for help putting it on, and he made it clear that he would help, but didn't want to help me. Once at my vehicle, he realized he sold me the wrong wiper. I had to unload my kids a second time to go in and get a refund. I checked my bank account this afternoon, and the refund still hasn't shown up. I called to ask about it, and got another bad customer service experience, all the guy said was, " uhhhhhhhhhh I don't know, call your bank." read more

I usually buy my parts from this O Reilly auto parts store. Today, was the first time I've received less than average service. Asked for a fuel water separator drain valve for my 01 F250. The younger parts rep wasn't able to find the part without an exact name or P/N . I used my cell phone to locate the P/N from O Reilly's website all while the parts rep texted away on his cell phone. read more

Tried to leave work yesterday and my battery had died :(. Nothing like wanting to go home after a long day of work and not being able to. Got a quick jump from a coworker and went straight to this O'Reily's. I'm always skeptical about auto parts stores, mostly because I usually end up at the AutoZone by my house and they have terrible customer service. Walked in and Michael helped me out right away. Offered to not only test my battery, but to jump my car after the fact in case I wanted to go check out pricing elsewhere. He was very knowledgeable and really really nice. Not only showed me the replacement battery I needed but went above and beyond and installed it for me (at no extra cost!! :D). Walked me through how to do it so I would be able to do it on my own next time. It is so RARE to find customer service like that these days (I work in retail, I see it everyday) and I am beyond impressed at how fast, efficient, cost effective, friendly, and knowledgeable the entire process was. I will not go to any other auto part store in chico, this store an staff are WONDERFUL I Go in at least once a week and have gotten to know the employees by a first name basis, they memorized my car's year and almost got my phone number down for when they have to enter it in the computer!
