The improved effort was not in noticed and much appreciated. ^^^Update^^^ We are donating our car through a veteran's organization and Global is the company they've selected for the tow pick up. When making arrangements with the veteran's organization they transferred my call to Global to make pick up arrangements which were set for Thursday morning. I was told I would get a call Thursday morning with the time window for the pick up. No contact information or reference name. Flash forward to Thursday morning after calling back the veteran's organization to get Global's information... What utterly unintelligible and disgracefully rude customer interaction. I refrain for the term customer service because it was anything but. My kind explanation and inquiry of a Time window was met with gruff, huffy and inconvenienced tone. When eventually transferred, I received a "What do you want, we'll call you when we're on our way" Ok, thank you do you have an idea how long it will take to... (Cut off) " We'll call you when the driver takes off, maybe in like 10 minutes" Ok, thank you I was looking to...Click. So after doing some googling I find Global is located in Elgin. Roughly an hour and a quarter from my home. No call with word of their departure. Which will put their arrival into the afternoon. So now I scramble to change prior commitments because I dare not call back to try and reschedule. Nor would I want to have to ever interact with this company again. If this weren't for charity I would have been beyond done after that first phone interaction.

I found out advanced auto should install your battery for you for free and I didn't know that when I bought my item on 1/20/2021. I called the store to inquire about their services and the man on the phone was super rude and did not want to help me out. He said they only install items the same day and I asked if he really wouldn't install my battery I just bought less than 24 hours ago today and he was so rude, he huffed and stated he would do it only if there are "no obstacles" in his way, whatever he meant by that... I am returning the battery and going to the Sleepy Hallow location. When I spoke with them they apologized and said I could come there today and they will put my battery in. I'm super pleased with how this location handled themselves and I will Be continuing to travel the 20 mins out of my way instead of going to the Elgin location which is 1-2 miles away. (Michele was the one who helped me in Sleepy Hallow and she is wonderful!)

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I came in to pick up my online order. As one guest…read morewas being assisted at the desk, I patiently waited in the area where the que is supposed to form. As I waited several other guest came into the store. Two got in line behind me, and two others went and stood at the counter. Once the cashier finished with the guest he was helping. He completely ignored the line and went over to help the two others that were waiting at the counter. I asked the cashier if he didn't see us waiting in line and informed him that I had been waiting long before anyone else even came in the store. I was met by silence. The cashier continued helping the guests at the counter, completely ignoring me. I spoke up to another employee who came up to help the second guest at the counter and told him I had now been waiting almost 10 minutes and just had an online order I wanted to pick-up. He told me I needed to wait, since he was helping other guests. I asked for a manager and was very rudely told he wasn't there. When I asked him for his name, he said he wasn't going to give it to me. He wasn't wearing a name tag either. Aren't they supposed to wear name tags? When someone finally came up to assist me, he had to ask someone else to help him, as apparently he didn't know how to retrieve "online orders". When he finally figured out how to find my order, it wasn't even ready. Why did I receive an email ONE hour earlier stating my order was ready for pick-up? When I again asked the gentlemen what his name was, he told he wasn't going to give it to me, and then told me to leave. How am I supposed to leave if I haven't even gotten the merchandise that I had already paid for? Not a single apology or explanation, just rude and unacceptable behavior. How are people like this trusted to be in a store unsupervised? I have been an Autozone customer for decades and have never experienced anything even remotely close to what happened at this location.

I called at 5:45p because my front headlight went out and I needed a replacement bulb. The lady who answered said the store closed at 5:30p but she gladly looked up my model of car and had the bulb in stock. She said told me I could stop over and pick it up and if I wasn't there by the time she left she'd leave it outside and I could come pay later in the week. Seriously!? That is small town service in the Chicago area, it is rare but I will go out of my way to buy auto parts here forever. Side note, she was still there when I picked it up. And the location is wrong on here, it's west of 59 on NW 14, just past Chase.
