Cheap shop with low standards. Get an oil change only. Any serious work take to a specialist. Shop will cut corners and use cheap parts to make a profit. Ask to see the mechanic's ASE certification (who actually work on your car, the owner does very little hands on work) read more

Honesty and great customer service! I normally have Schaumburg Toyota service my SUV. They recently told me that I needed new rear brake pads. They insisted that the pads had 20% remaining life. I declined their offer and asked Lord's Auto Service to take a look. William advised pads had more than 50% life and needed only minor adjustments to make braking performance smooth and flawless. Instead of paying $335 for brake service, I was only charged $86. This would have never happened at Schaumburg Toyota. In addition to great service, Naja (receptionist) gave me a ride home while William serviced my car. She even picked me up again and took me back to Lord's upon completion of the work on my car. A great experience! Naja and William are both great people to work with. They're polite and professional. I will never take my car back to Schaumburg Toyota. read more

Personally I would never go back to this auto repair because all he wants is money and not doing the job I was expecting him to do and check the breaks when I complained when I got there that it shows the red brake lights on when I start the car and after driving it and I thought it might be the brake fluid needs to be flushed out and replaced although I had all breaks replaced not long ago so the fluid must being still clean so that was my thought but he charged me for the brake fluid which I'm not sure that was replaced as I left my car there and didn't bother to check what's the problem with the brake lights on just took my money for the brake flush and he wants to charge for a check up like no other good considerate mechanic for his customers, all he wants money, money... read more

The left side wiper motor went out on my car and in this weather not really something you can go without so I needed got find a place where i could get it done quickly and without costing me an arm and a leg. I did some quick research online and saw that Lord's was reviewed well and was local so I figured I would give them a shot. Preston is great. He gave me an accurate estimate, got my car in quickly, and then showed me what had failed on the old part. He also gave me helpful hints to hopefully extend the life of the new part. read more

I took my car to Lord's many times and each time when we received it back there was an issue with their work. Once, after an oil change we discovered that they had overfilled the oil. Another time when they put it up on the lift they did it wrong and indented my passenger side floor board. We kept giving them the benefit of the doubt because they always fixed what they messed up. However, when I had problems with my heat and they told me that my heater core needed to be replaced or I needed to get rid of the car. They told me that there was an issue with the cooling system and that it was going to continue to happen even after they had flushed the system many times. They said to sell the car. Since I couldn't afford to do this I had them do the heater core. We thought that I would at least be able to have some heat for one winter before it would clog up again. When we started smelling anti-freeze in the car and were having issues with no heat again not very long after they did the work we took it back to them. They told us that it was not their fault and not to bring the car back to them ever again. So we took the car to Kamphaus Auto and not only did they fix the problem but they fixed it permanently! Lord's doesn't have qualified mechanics that are fully knowledgable. And they don't stand behind their work. They are very nice but Mr. Lord hires young inexperienced mechanics who screw things up. If you want great service for your money don't go to Lords! We learned this the hard way! read more

This is a bad company I took my car in 9 days ago cause the car was stalling and cutting off they said it was a ground wire yesterday the car stalled and wouldn't cut back on. I called this morning and he said it have to be something different and they have too many cars and I would have to pay to get it tolled in and they would get to it in a couple of days. This was the first time I've been to Lord's as my old shop recently closed due to retirement. I brought in a 2003 Cavalier that had a check engine light issue. I had to get it fixed so I could pass emissions and renew the license. I was very impressed with the amount of effort that was put in during the diagnosis as they said they didn't want to repair something and not fix the issue. It ended up being a small leak in the filler tube. Once that was replaced, the service tech took it in to get the emissions tested for me! Service is very slow, went for a oil change and they took my car in right away. So I was thinking I will be out 20-30 min tops. I sat there for over a hour. Come on now, it doesn't take that long to change oil and do your checks. Also there was some oil stains on my door and center console. Lucky I was able to clean it up. read more

I have taken our cars to Lords Auto Service in Streamwood for years and have always had a great experience with the recommendations and the Service that was performed at pricing that was fair and competitive. My most recent visit was 4/6/15 and communicated regularly with Will and Preston on the status and the work was completed as I requested which has always been my experience. What was different with this visit is that there were a couple minor cosmetic questions (lug nuts) that I had after having the car home a couple days and how they handled my issue exceeded all my expectations!!! Lord's clearly keeps the customer in the center of all they do..... Quality Service and price is not easy to find and you get this PLUS at Lords who truly builds a business on Relationships, Trust, Customer Satisfaction and unquestioned quality aftercare on that rare occurrence it is needed. I have been taking cars to Lord's for years. This time I damaged a rim that needed to be replaced. The rim was taking longer than expected to show up(snow storms and freezing weather in Jan.).
