Houston Auto Parts (originally known as Levan) is truly a life saver!…read moreI called around looking to purchase inner and outer TieRods for my Mercedes E350. Yes, Oreilly's, Auto Zone and Mercedes had the parts available but the price difference compared to H.A.P, UNBEATABLE! Not to mention, most of the competitors I mentioned earlier wouldn't have had the part until tomorrow. *For Oreilly's the Inner was $77/each and Outer $83 (L) $73 (R) = $310 (before taxes) *Advance Auto Parts $59 for each outer $76 for each inner = $270 (before taxes) *Levan The Outer were priced at $55/each and $35/ each for the inner = $180 (before taxes)! & my parts come with a warranty?!?! All in all : I saved a total of $141 going with Houston Auto Parts and was able to get my parts within two hours of purchase. This isn't my first time doing business with these pros and it won't be my last! Thanks for the best price and service in the city!

Months later finally being able to fix the car -taking it to the shop & they tell you the car part they gave you doesn't fit. Now how in the world they got a 23 SE bumper confused and gave me a LE/XLE. I have no clue but obviously the guy at the from mid 30's 5'1 & some other shoulder length hair guy around his 20's clearly can't do their job. Angel the "store manager " was so helpful he said I can take it back & pay the the difference for the correct bumper but I have to drive back there & exchange it while my car is already at the shop across the other side of town . A joke . If you can't do your job right find another job . What idiot at a part shop makes a mistake like that.

That said, they were the only dealership that had the exact SUV I was looking for, so it worked out. I also brought the vehicle back later to have it blacked out, and they did a solid job--turnaround was quick and pricing was fair. Overall, a good experience with a few delays along the way.

We sat down to talk about purchasing the car and I asked about the "172 point CPO" paperwork because what was in their website was blank. She insisted it was on the website so I asked her to go the site and look for herself and it was blank. I asked her for the keys so I could go look at the car while she looked for the actual completed CPO paperwork. Car was in decent shape, needed to be detailed since it was used as a loaner vehicle. I popped the hood to check fluid levels, caps etc. and noticed that the wiper fluid reservoir cap was missing, pointed it out to her and mentioned this must not have been part of the 172 point inspection. She assured me they would get it replaced and re detailed. We sat down to discuss pricing and I was surprised that the actual price was $8000 more than what it was listed for on their site. The mandatory CPO ($3k)and other fees (replacing tires, battery etc) another $1800) were all "billed" at their service shop rates. Almost $600 to replace the battery (which I knew about because we also have a Cadillac sRX that another Cadillac dealer wanted the same price to replace the battery in that one. I replaced it myself for the cost of the battery and 15 minutes labor) we finally agreed on a price. I asked for the CPO warranty paperwork and saleswoman said I needed to get it from finance dept, I asked him for it and he thought she gave it to me and said he would get it to me. Fast forward a month later and I finally got some of the paperwork. (After leaving multiple unreturned messages for Steve Hainline, still haven't heard from him) If you buy a CPO car from this dealership make sure you request the actual CPO paperwork and go through the car back to front: pop the hood and look at everything. Do not leave until they give you the extended warranty information (that you are paying for). If something is missing or doesn't match the CPO and other service fees ask about it. They have to do those things to sell the car, they should NOT be added to the cost of the car at their normal service shop rates. (It doesn't cost the dealership $600 to replace the battery) Also, if you want to make an appointment to check out a car, don't use their AI "assistant", call and talk to a person, they don't track the AI appointments that get set, my wife made an appointment through it and when she got there, they couldn't find the car for about 20 minutes. It's only been a month so I can only speak to our experience so far. The people were nice during the sales process but once you leave the dealership with the car, it's very hard to get someone to respond to you. Hopefully it gets better. UPDATE: Steve's response asking me to contact him, when I have already left multiple messages with him and their front desk to call me, is a big indicator of what I explained in my original review. I should not have to call again when I have already left multiple messages with him to call me. This is a disappointing sign regarding what kind of customer service that can be expected from this dealership. UPDATE #2- Steve, again, you have my contact information as I have left multiple messages for you asking you to call me. I have yet to receive a call or email. If you are serious about resolving this issue, I'll be expecting a call from you tomorrow. The onus to correct this is not on me, the customer.

They have relocated to 644 W Rankin Rd, Ste 102, Houston, TX 77067. My experience with Advance Auto…read moreParts has been beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. On August 11, 2022, I bought a battery from their old location on Imperial Valley in Houston (Store #8412). It came with a 3-year warranty. Fast forward, I started having issues with the battery while still under warranty. I called customer service, and they told me to return to the store I bought it from. I explained that it had closed, but they found my account using my phone number just not the battery purchase (which made no sense). Then they told me I needed a code from the battery itself, which I didn't have at the time. A few days later, I went to a store and found out the store had just relocated to Rankin Road. I ended up buying a new battery on May 23, 2025, and no one could help me replace my battery. The store manager pointed out a local mechanic in the store and asked him to help. When the mechanic removed my battery, he confirmed it was one sold by Advance Auto and said it was definitely still under warranty. We went inside together, and an employee was able to find my purchase right away using my phone number, which the phone rep somehow "couldn't." He claimed the warranty was "almost expired" and warned I wouldn't be able to return the new one if it failed, completely misleading. I am still under warranty now for that old battery because it was purchased 8/11/22 the current date is 6/7/2025. I went up there again the next day and another employee allowed me to take a pic of their computer system proving my warranty actually ends 8/11/2025. I was able to take a pic of my account in their system showing all this information. The new purchase was on 5/23/25. You ask me, they're up there stealing. Stating my best option would be to keep the new battery and the new warranty. For the record, this was my first and only time trying to use the warranty. I truly feel I was being taken advantage of, and honestly, I think they assumed I didn't know my rights because I'm a woman. The store manager even admitted the issue was mishandled and that he had spoken to the employee who caused the confusion. He said he wanted to help but that he was only allowed to issue a merch card. He suggested I contact customer service again so he could authorize a full refund. I tried that the same day, but customer service was closed. I used the text support option, and after 15 minutes, the rep suddenly said they couldn't help anymore because I filed a BBB complaint. I was told that because I did that, I could only communicate through the BBB platform. Although, all communication has stopped on their end via email and the BBB platform. No one from the company has responded since their first (and false) reply, where they claimed they tried to contact me multiple times and I was unreachable. That is completely false and I have proof. I contacted customer support again the next day and spoke with Germaine B. and he stated the only way they could help was for me to get the merch card, they would cancel it and then send me a check. l shouldn't have to wait for them to get ready to mail me a check due to their negligence. The final straw? The mechanic who helped me told me someone from the store told him I was "the lady suing the store." So they can discuss my situation with other people, but not with me directly? That's extremely unprofessional and feels retaliatory. I will never spend another dime at Advance Auto Parts. This whole situation has been a nightmare, and I hope this review helps others know what they're getting into.

The rest of the employees were also very helpful and have excellent customer service when I was looking for which refrigerants to buy for my car.
