I went to this location a month ago and had an amazing experience. A man (Alex) helped me change my left turn signal light and checked my oil for me. I went into today because my right turn signal went out. (I went to this location because of my previous service). I asked if I could have some help getting my light fixed and a young man with AirPods in his ears was extremely rude and told me "we aren't allowed to do that". I tried to explain that I was in a month ago with the same problem and they helped me out. He rolled his eyes and said he couldn't do anything. read more

4 Stars for your basic auto parts store with staff that is available to guide you. I've been in a few times for windshield wipers and cleaning fluid, so I can't speak to how they perform for auto-nuts- just the basics. Each time I've been in it's been fairly simple to find what I was looking for and I've had people walk by and ask if I needed help. Besides that, not the most overly friendly staff, but also not rude. They get their job done and it's a no-hassle small shop that carries my (very) occasional car need. read more

Had the most amazing experience with Brian today. Came in with an issue with my battery. Knowing nothing about cars, and the person I would normally ask for help not being available, I was putting all of my trust in the store to help me, but also not screw me over. Brian tested my battery, and was honest with what the results were, because he wasn't trying to just sell me a new battery. He showed me what was wrong, and realistically set expectations of what that battery could still handle. When I asked him 'if I was your daughter, would you let me leave with my battery?' He was honest and said no, because 'I wouldn't want you to be stuck somewhere' He was so genuine, and not once made me feel like I was dumb for not being a car expert. He truly cared about providing good service and ensuring that I was a well-informed consumer. I can only hope that everyone who comes into a store with a problem, asking for help on a topic that they have little knowledge on, is met with a person like Brian. read more

Ordered a part online, said pickup in 30 minutes minutes. Went to the store an hour later, only to waste 45 minutes with them looking for the part. Three different associates and a manager couldn't find it. Then told me they'll cancel my online order and there's nothing they could do. They said I could go to another location and pick it up. The treatment I received was so bad, after going to this east colonial drive Orlando location for 10 years, due to the treatment from their employees and lack of customer care by Advance, I decided to drive 15 more minutes to a competitor and pay $30 more for the same part. Sad how poorly Advance Auto Parts treats loyal customers. read more

Rudy helped me today and from the moment I walked in he was polite, honest, knowledgeable and hard-working. I came in for a replacement battery and Rudy escorted me to my car and proceeded to tell me exactly what he was doing while he checked the battery and alternator on my truck. After the test was over Rudy did not pressure me to purchase anything but told me how much battery life I had left. After we went inside Rudy showed me the products that fit my truck for a replacement and spelled out what was included. After I asked a few questions he patiently answered them then rang up my purchase. After I purchased the battery he walked me to the truck where he proceeded to install the new battery and windshield wipers. After he was finished I started up my truck and it started right up! We shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. Picked this one because it was close but better reviews that other store. Was greeted upon entry and "Brian" quickly suggested the right battery and external cable protectors. When u don't know crap about automotive stuff it's a pretty good place to go. I replace my wipers, and refill the washer fluid, and on occasion a taillight and or headlight and that's about it. Thanks to Xavier for installing a new battery for my Toyota Yaris. I felt bad because one of the terminals was corroded, making it hard for the old battery to come out. The solution was to swap out the corroded terminal for a new one. He gave me a good 20 minutes, and was knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything. read more

These folks are outstanding every time! I've been going to this location for 15 years now. Anytime that my car has trouble starting, I bring it to this location and they troubleshoot to tell me what the problem is. Several days ago they checked my car and I needed a new battery. So they installed a new one and saw, looking at their records, that the battery they removed was still under warrantee (It had a 3 year warranty which would expire in a few months). Well, they honored the warranty and I got the new battery free of charge! It doesn't get much better than this! read more

I don't normally rate anything but restaurants, but I felt compelled to acknowledge great customer service, which is seemingly becoming extinct faster than the beloved polar bear. After purchasing a new car battery from Advance just two months ago, my gf was shocked to find her car wouldn't start a few mornings ago. Naturally, she assumed it was a starter or alternator issue, but just to be safe, I removed the battery and took to the store to make sure it wasn't a simple fix. After getting immediately greeted, Marsalis quickly diagnose the battery needed to be charged, informing me I could come back in an hour to pick it up. Upon returning, and immediately being recognized by a different associate (sorry didn't get his name), he told me the battery didn't successfully charge and gave me a new one. He suggested I bring the vehicle back in so they could run a full diagnostic to see if there were issues with the car that would cause the battery to due so quickly...free of charge. I took his advice and brought the vehicle back immediately for tests. I was then met by a third associate, Ash, who came out to the vehicle and ran the diagnostics (5 min tops). He informed me the car was perfectly fine, it was prob just a bad battery (or my gf's driving - my editorial). They replaced a battery and completed an electrical diagnosis for free... Services that would have cost a couple hundred at garage or dealership. Great job !!!! read more

This particular store refused to return a $15 car charger I purchased a week ago. I had my receipt and the packing had not been opened, but yet I was told I couldn't return it because it was "electronics" and it's against their policy. I explained if that is the policy, it's not listed on the receipt. The manager still refused to return the item. I went down the road to another Advance Auto on 7800 Colonial and it was returned, no questions asked. So thanks for wasting my time. read more

In my previous post i gave a 1 star rating due to the incompetence i experienced from multiple reps. I wish Alexis was there when i went in that time. I went in for an Optimo Battery for my Jag and didnt know much about Cold Cranks and reserve capacity. He spent 20 minutes explaining in detail why buying their Gold battery would actually be better and cheaper. He let me know the same company makes optima batteries and their gold. I got more power for about $40 less dollars. Yes i met 2 incompetent people but this visit Alexis turned it around. I've always used this store for little things for my BMW. I usually receive good service. However today was the exception 9/18. I came into the store to see if I could help with my wipers. One man was outside working on a car. The other man inside was talking to a woman about her car. No one acknowledged me. I finally asked if someone was available as the conversation the man was having was more towards getting her number than about trying to fix her car. I basically was told I will have to wait as the two men resolve her issues? Seriously? I complained to the little man who said with a smirk I'm sorry we are doing our best? I said then why don't you help me? He said they only had two people in the store. OK? SO is this helping? Too much frustration for me so I took my wallet and walked. What is going to happen once the legalize marijuana? It was obvious the motivation for maintaining this business was not there...I feel for the absentee owner. read more

To my surprise, several years ago when I bought new wiper blades, the guy behind the counter installed them on my car! For FREE! Same with the last two batteries I bought. They took out the old one, put in the new one. For FREE! So on January 9th when I had a battery die, I was a bit surprised that a guy named Lucas working at night refused to reinstall the charged battery and told me I needed to walk behind the counter and pick up the battery and haul it out to my car. Huh? Turns out the battery died once again, so I called and talked to the manager, Alexis, who said bring it in and we'd switch it out. Still 2 years warranty on the battery, so no cost to me. When I arrived, Rudy and Jana were working and Rudy installed a new battery in my car. Again, for FREE. Alexis was nice. Hector was nice. Rudy was nice...everybody at this store was nice...except Lucas. He could undo the good work done by all the others. I will continue to go back to this store because they offer real service. read more
