As a woman I am always a little scared to go into stores or services related to cars as I do not know much about cars and am scared to be overcharged for things I don't need. I came in to get spark plugs and coils as my car had been misfiring due to one of spark plugs going out. I was helped very quickly and was very surprised at the help i received and the options I was given as to not spend an arm and a leg. The individual helping me also took the time to answer all my questions and even talk through some logistics and pros and cons about only replacing the one now versus replacing all of them now. I placed an order for a battery to my 2011 Honda Civic. The website informed me that they had "FREE same day delivery" which I selected, because I was unable to drive due to, you know, the battery being dead... Long story short the battery didn't come over the course of the next 5 hours that they were open. The next day I began working on another project in my front yard. During the course of the next 3 hours that Auto Zone was open, the battery still hadn't showed up. After calling and speaking with an associate (10:44), I was told that it was on the way to me. The second time I called (11:55), they said "we tried to deliver it but no one was there." I informed them that was impossible because there was a group of 3 of us outside working on a project and we would've seen anyone pull up. They then told us they attempted to deliver it to the wrong address and that it was the last battery in the store, they would call us when the delivery guy got back. 30 min later, we got a call that the battery was there and ready to be picked up. Luckily one of the three people with me were able to go up and get it, to which a different associate said "that battery has been here the whole time, no one tried to deliver it." So here's the summation, Auto Zone employees , if y'all are going to make up a lie to get out of having to deliver the battery, at least make sure everyone knows what the lie is so you don't get caught. I still have one more part that being delivered, which I doubt, based in trend analysis, that this item will ever make it to me. I will definitely be taking my business to Advanced Auto next time. read more

My car was struggling to start, so I did the smart thing and took it to my friendly neighborhood AutoZone for a free diagnostic test. I was worried it was the starter (or something equally as pricey and time-consuming to fix) and imagined my hard-earned dollars sprouting wings and flying out of my bank account with a quickness. The prospect of being without transportation while the unknown repair was being made was seriously bumming me out too. The customer service here is top-notch and began with the nice young lady who was outside on her break and didn't mind at all when I asked about where to park for the test. Enter my knight in shining armor...the star off the show...my hero, Philip. With a rainstorm threatening, he cheerfully rolled his test cart out to help me and didn't make fun of me when we discovered the sorry state my battery was in. Verdict... just a bad battery. (WOO HOO!!) He quickly located the replacement I selected, rang me up, (here's the best part) removed the old, nasty battery (which was resisting and did not want to leave) and installed the shiny new one. I LOVE YOU, AUTOZONE!!! Better keep Philip happy because he makes you look sooooo good. read more

These guys are the best! I walked in with a dead battery and they were able to not only help me out but to teach me ways to prolong my battery life. They're so courteous as you can tell they're extremely busy as they are answering phones, dealing with walk in customers and still taking their time to acknowledge you all while being short staffed. It's a shame to see some of these other reviews are geared towards slow service when it's so clear that they're busy. My experience started out by waiting for five minutes well two people were in the back and one was in the front on the phone. I needed my battery terminals cleaned and the guy who helped me was really nice but I unplugged the battery and when I turn my car back on the radio didn't work. I know very little about cars which is why I went to AutoZone and I had no idea my car would restart the radio and lock me out if I had my battery disconnected even for a second when the car was off. When I called to ask them about it another guy on the phone gave me an attitude and told me to go to the dealership or enter in the code like I had any idea what he was talking about! I think what I like best about this place is the fast, efficient service. This is important to the diy car guy who just wants to get his part and get back to his tinkering. You see, now that I have 2 cars, one 14 year old Acura, the other a classic jeep, I find myself at the auto parts store a good bit more than I would like. This store seems to have what I need at decent prices more often than the other nearby auto parts stores. Yesterday, when I asked for a part which was on the floor, the salesperson didn't just point me in the right direction, he walked with me to the rack and found the part out of the hundreds in the area. I was in and out of the store in 3 minutes. I will give it 4 of 5 stars because the location is pretty scary. I've never had a problem, but this is definitely not a place I want to be outside daytime hours. read more

I had a horrible experience at this store and I left with them still owing me money. First when I went I ordered Front & Rear Brakes, all 4 rotors, plus gaskets. They had to order my two front rotors from another store. My receipt looked off so I went back to the counter and pointed it out. The guy said oh, it looks like I didn't charge you for one of your rear rotors, so he charged me on a separate receipt. I went back 2 days later to pick up my front rotors and only one was there because they guy didn't order my parts properly and charged me for 3 rear rotors and 1 front rotor. They refunded me in cash and told me that I had to go all the way to the other store to pick up the other rotor and pay for it there. So I leave not realizing they never actually gave me my part they had ordered and I had already paid for because they guy had taken it back when he said he was going to the back to try to straighten out why they only had one. So I had to buy 2 from the other store and ended up paying for 5 rotors and they still owe me $62.99 plus tax. Finally a week later the District Manager calls me and tells me I can go back to the store and he will make sure my money is returned to me, but this is the biggest hassle I have ever had. I won't be shopping there again that's for sure. read more
