Jason looked it up in the system and found that there was one battery left and it was a four year warranty battery. He also provided a price quote over the phone. I told him I'd be on my way. When I arrived, Michael helped me. Both Michael and Jason were very patient and helpful. They were both professional and able to take care of my cars needs in a timely manner. I did this becuase with their included inspection I was hoping to solve any other unknown issues. I spent $548 which also included a wheel alignment. They said my oil cap was missing and that was my fault for forgetting to screw it back on when I put in 2 quarts the day before so I also purchased a new cap from them. I did notice some redish/pink corrosion but they didnt mention anything about that. I was also told the air cabin filter was dirty so I replaced that myself. I was curious why the engine air filter wasnt dirty so when I got home I checked it myself and just looked around the engine and to my surprise the oil cap I thought was lost was sitting next to a belt....so i dont know how they checked the hoses and belts and missed that unless they did not check the belts. The engine air filter was dirty so I replaced that myself but this should have been checked when they were changing my oil. I took my car to a Jeep dealership just for a recall fix and I was told my thermostat was leaking coolant!!!!!! I wont be going back to Pep Boys. They did not do the inspections they say they do and if so then they just are any good at it. They miss the oil cap, the engine air filter, the leaking thermostat. And also said they couldn't take off my tires due to a locking nut but I fould the key for that in the glove box when they said they looked for it......hard pass next time. So I replaced the hose. Next day my car starts SMOKING. Turns out they didn't pressure test the system - burned out my radiator. They ended up replacing the radiator but didn't do it correctly because now my car is signaling overheating (it wasn't doing this before). Basically I walked in with a simple issue and now I'm chasing my tail trying to get their mistakes fixed. Do not go here and do not trust their mechanic for fixes unless you want your car going through a nightmare of issues.

It did take a little over 2 hours though when I was informed it would only take 1-1.5 hours. Patience is a virtue and I was being tested. ------ A few highlights: -Expect a wait on Sundays. They seemed short on working stations, but they're one of the rare shops open on Sunday, which I appreciated. -Located by Fashion Valley Mall, so at least you can kill time...just don't make the same mistake I did and wander into Sephora unless you want your paycheck to mysteriously shrink. -Separate parking lot and clearly marked spaces. There was plenty of parking when I arrived. -There is a waiting area with a tv. There could be more chairs since it's an open floor plan. -If you decide not to wait inside, they can call you when your car is ready for pick-up. This is great if you're looking to roam the mall. -I have the Firestone unlimited alignment membership, so my tire alignment was FREE!! Who doesn't love FREE? They also did a courtesy tire balance check since I recently got new tires. -------- Like most auto shops, they'll give you a list of recommended services (which can cause a little wallet anxiety), but honestly they didn't feel pushy or upsell-y. Everything seemed pretty straightforward. Overall: convenient location near work and home, honest service, and a good option if you don't mind waiting a bit.

Im the kind of guy that is able to fix things like this but hard to do from so far away. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic especially so far away. Not only was he able to come out and diagnose the problem the same day but he was able to order parts and repair it quickly. It was a tough starter change due to the location and having to remove the manifold ect. I know because ive done it once already and its a very complex repair. The parts cost more than anticipated due to the extra gaskets and coolant needed and he still honored the original quote. We gave him extra because of all the extra work he did. He topped off her break fluid, air in the tires, gave it a once over to make sure that it was tip top shape. Also gave my daughter an education on her car. Even took pictures of all the parts and video of it running smooth. As a father it puts me at ease knowing that I can call him in the future I wish I had mechanics like him closer to me.
