Hello April!! Great service even on a busy Sunday! Even with a long line and being pretty backed up, the customer service here was great. It did take a little over 2 hours though when I was informed it would only take 1-1.5 hours. Patience is a virtue and I was being tested. ------ A few highlights: -Expect a wait on Sundays. They seemed short on working stations, but they're one of the rare shops open on Sunday, which I appreciated. -Located by Fashion Valley Mall, so at least you can kill time...just don't make the same mistake I did and wander into Sephora unless you want your paycheck to mysteriously shrink. -Separate parking lot and clearly marked spaces. There was plenty of parking when I arrived. -There is a waiting area with a tv. There could be more chairs since it's an open floor plan. -If you decide not to wait inside, they can call you when your car is ready for pick-up. This is great if you're looking to roam the mall. -I have the Firestone unlimited alignment membership, so my tire alignment was FREE!! Who doesn't love FREE? They also did a courtesy tire balance check since I recently got new tires. -------- Like most auto shops, they'll give you a list of recommended services (which can cause a little wallet anxiety), but honestly they didn't feel pushy or upsell-y. Everything seemed pretty straightforward. Overall: convenient location near work and home, honest service, and a good option if you don't mind waiting a bit. read more

OPEN SUNDAYS! (4 stars) ... most tire shops are closed on Sundays. This place was a lifesaver when a small panic arose from a computer warning saying my left rear tired has low tire pressure. HOW? I just spent ALOT of money at a different tire shop for my Pirelli Run Flats only for one to be FLAT?! I drove up and was confused where the from was - it's not obvious but the front is facing the mall. I went inside seeking assistance only for 4 other people waiting around and NO employees around helping anyone. Impatient me went to the back where they were working on cars and asked someone to help me. I was quickly directed to pull my car up to the second to last bay - that is where they have their air station and was told someone will help me there. When I pulled up, there were about two employees working on cars. One came over and apologize and asked if I was waiting long. I was not and literally just pulled up but thank you for that courtesy. I told him about the warning and ask to have my air filled and I'll reset and see how it goes from there because I didn't see any obvious punters to the tire. He went out of his way to also look around the tire and educate me of what could have triggered this issue. 1) he looked around the tired too and didn't see anything 2) he mentioned with euro cars that sometimes the rim can be bent and cause a leak 3) he also checked the rims and told me about how rust issues can cause air leak and that is the case the rim could be cleaned or sand down to fix that 4) he told me about the caps on the tire valve covers that sometimes the inside of one could have deviation and that could also cause a slow leak - he went and got some new ones just in case that was the issue. He took time out of his busy schedule to help me out and also teach me these good-to-knows was much appreciated. Not sure what caused that but the rest of the day my computer didn't throw a signal. I did feel the shop I got my tired rushed putting them on and not sure how I felt spending all that money and a few days later one of my tires was leaking air. Maybe I need to divert my business to Firestone when it comes to getting my Pirellis. This little interaction spoke volumes of how well they provide service. Predatory pricing. Was offered a new tire for $212 with them knowing my car was barely drivable outside. Told them I'll leave after calling a place next door that offered $150 new. Only then do they tell me about a "price match". Trying to take advantage of people in need is wrong and this company clearly has a mandate to do so. read more

Alignment is fine, BUT when we told them we heard something clanking under the car, they wanted to charge us $20 to put it up on the rack as they dont need to do that when doing an alignment! It was just the cheapo thing to say. We said forget it! So, we took it to where we get oil changes. The manager of that auto repair rode with us around the block. He heard it and within 10 minutes found out what it was. Something that just needed a bolt tightened. THEY DIDNT CHARGE US FOR IT! Hello, now which one would you go to? No brainer. I've been bringing family cars here for two years now and feel I can now offer an educated opinion of the great service and customer care they offer. On my most recent visit MIKE was my service mgr this day did a rapid and thorough eval of my car with relevant items to service. He also executed special warranty no- cost repairs for my air conditioner system. Although the compressor replaced in October, it recently went out again due to manufacturer defects. FERNANDO was the A,/ C technician on duty this day and had all replaced/ repaired in a few hours ! As a testament to Firestones service after sale all was repaired no- charge under their 1 year service warranty. And then my favorite part: as we ran through other periodic recommended service to perform he popped special discount coupons for about half of them! Between the coupons and 5% total invoice discount for using my Firestone credit card I probably saved about $150. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

I dont usually right a review but this Firestone scammed me simply bc i was a woman. I needed a new tire as mine was completely flat with a slash in it. I managed to drive as far as I could to the nearest auto shop next to me and I managed to do so on 0psi so my car was no longer operable. I asked the employee for the cheapest used tire they had that could fit my car and they said the cheapest was going to run me 300 do the ONE "USED" tire and labor. I then after leaving felt like that was a little pricey so i looked to see which tires they had available and i found out that the cheapest tire they could've sold me was 70 dollars!! I was taken advantage of so i dont recommend to go to this auto shop if youre a woman alone!! read more

As an Uber driver all I needed was a yearly inspection. Simple right? Wrong. I had a 10:30 a.m. appointment. It's 2:00 p.m. I just got my car back... 3.5 hrs. is not acceptable... Dropped the car off on Tuesday afternoon. Front desk guy was perfect/professional. Next day, I waited all day for an update. Didn't get a phone call. We called around 4pm. They told us the car isn't ready bc they were too busy to look at the car (even though I had an appt). I had to take a Lyft to work the next day. DO NOT USE FIRESTONE! Incompetent scam artists. Paid for a lifetime alignment, and 4,000 miles later the edges of my tires are worn out prematurely. Took it back to Firestone and they said the alignment is out (So they never aligned it properly in the first place). After waiting 2 and a half hours, they told me they couldn't align my truck and tried changing me over $700 for an aftermarket caster camber adjuster, "Because the OEM one doesn't have enough adjustment on it." Smelling a rat, I went to BeeLine Brake and alignment, told them what happened, and they laughed at the notion of needing an aftermarket aduster. They examined the truck, determined that it needed an alignment (again, after Firestone had just supposedly performed one 4,000 miles prior). Beeline performed the alignment in less than an hour, and for less than a $100, without the need for any additional parts or labor. Called the store manager at Friars Firestone and he said he would only partially refund me for the lifetime alignment, and would charge me for a one-time alignment, despite never aligning the truck correctly and thereby wasting a full set of tires, not to mention a total of six hours of my life. I hit a pothole this afternoon. I called Firestone to see if they had a tire my car size. Fernando gave me a quote that was very reasonable and I got there 20 minutes before closing. Jason replaced the tire in no time. I am so grateful to have found Firestone opened on such short notice, Fernando and Jason were both professional and skilled at their job. Stay away from this Firestone! I hesitated coming to this location bc of their 2.5 star rating but it was the most convenient location and I didn't have a lot of time. I came in for an oil change, lifetime alignment, and tire rotation. My "service engine soon" light was on which I wasn't sure if it was for my oil change or not. When I picked up the car, I inquired about the light and I was told by the service advisor (didn't get his name but he checked me out at 5pm on 12/26) that the techs reset it and that the car was "good to go". When I got in my car, the light was still on but I had to make it to my next appt. So the next morning I returned to ask them to turn it off. This time a different service advisor told me that there was a note in my account that my car had a check engine light and that a diagnostic was recommended Why was this not told to me when I picked up my car? Also, why don't they at least pull the codes to let me know what is going on without requiring me to pay for a diagnostic. AutoZone, Advance, Napa, any auto parts store will do this simple check for free because it literally takes 30 seconds. I will never come back Stay away from this Firestone! read more

Called to see if this location had time for an alignment, they said yes and to come down. I arrived and then they told me it would take more than an hour. First off, alignments don't take that long. I told them I don't have that amount to time and had to leave sooner and they told me they would try to see if they could let someone else work on my car sooner as priority. On Saturday night, I was walking up to my car with my arms full of In-n-Out when I thought my tires all looked low. I made a mental note after comparing my tires to the car to the left, but jumped in the car and drove back to the hotel with food. The next morning, while picking up breakfast, the car started beeping and the low tire pressure light came on. This was not what I needed, as we were already late setting off for Sea World. Just my luck, right? I didn't want to wait until I got home, because I had to drive back to LA that evening, and I didn't want to leave it until later, because it was going to be too late by then. Being a Sunday, most tire places were closed, except for Firestone. I was dismayed by the low stars, but I didn't have much choice. I called them and they said to come over. When I arrived, I was directed to pull up in front of the second rolled-up door and ask for a tire pressure check. They guy came out promptly, filled up my tires, and sent me on my way! I had an appointment for 9:00 a.m. I arrived 15 minutes early, and stood in line for 15 minutes. Though this location has four "Auto Care Advisor" stations, there was only one advisor working. I made an appointment because I needed to wait for the service to be completed - an oil change should not take longer than 45 minutes. My vehicle was finally taken in for this service at 10:30 a.m. I waited another hour and 15 minutes for the service to be completed, making my total time nearly three hours. As I waited, another customer needing an oil change arrived 15 minutes late for her 9:00 a.m. appointment. She chitchatted with other customers in line for 15 minutes (hence my overhearing her appointment time). One of the customers asked for a specific technician to work on his car. He was told that technician was not available, as another Firestone location was short staffed and he was sent there - presumably leaving this location short staffed. This leads me to believe this problem is not specific to this location, but others as well. The woman who arrived 15 minutes late for her 9:00 a.m. appointment (the same time as mine) had her vehicle returned to her 25 minutes before me. I believe I would have received my vehicle even later, had I not pointed this out. I now wonder if my service was lacking quality service to get it back to me. During my wait, I was advised I could use the business' Bridgestone complementary Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow (0.64 MBPS - see SpeedTest), and would not permit the use of VPN, which should essentially rendered it useless to anyone using a public Wi-Fi. Most cellular telephone networks are far faster. If you plan to wait any significant time for your vehicle, Wi-Fi would be helpful, but not this service. I can only hope the oil change service was performed adequately, as such a service is not complex. My issue is the wait time, particularly when I scheduled an appointment, which is beneficial for the business to better schedule work. My wait time impacts my perception of value - Time Is Money. The next day, I took my wife's car to a local fast oil change business. I did not even have to exit the car, just drive straight in to the garage. They also checked other fluids, wipers, tires, and air filters. I was literally there a mere ten minutes. The cost was lower than what I paid Firestone, closer to my home (saving me gas), and an eager and friendly staff. I do not recommend Firestone for simple, quick services - you can do better and quicker elsewhere. Business Owner or Manager: No auto care business should have a 15 minute wait to check in for an any appointment. Over two hours for an oil change is not acceptable, particularly when you have competitors which specialize in the quick completion of such services. You need to research "queuing theory" to schedule work. If you wish to provide customers Wi-Fi, provide it at speeds greater than what the average cellular telephone can provide. Better yet, schedule simple maintenance services to be completed quickly, so no one needs to wait for extended periods. Lastly, your website leads people to believe they have an appointment, when they do not. On another occasion, I visited your location with what I tthoughtwas an appointment and was told the system did not send it through and that is was my responsibility to wait for a confirmation. read more

Do not come here. Red flags from the moment I arrived. 5 customers in the office in line and no employees to be found for 10+ minutes (I had an appt so they knew I was coming). A woman in front of me in line had just picked up her car, but it was not turning on. Another guy, they gave him the wrong keys. The incompetence was palpable. The employee who helped me was creepy from the start, making weird comments about my home address, leering at me the whole time. When we got out to my truck the leering intensified and he asked me multiple times how I get up into the truck with a skirt on. He couldn't get off it. Total creep. Unprofessional. Got towed here with a flat tire as I was told they had my tire in stock. Dropped off my car around 12pm and was told it should be ready by 6pm when they close. I wait around the area all day. It's now 10 minutes before close, they have not contacted me. I give them a call only to be told "We had to order your tire and it should be here tomorrow morning" they put the tire on another car and NO ONE thought it was a good idea to communicate that with me so I'm not waiting around all day? Who knew a simple flat tire could be so frustrating? Last night, we found out our Kia Soul had a flat tire. We also found out that it didn't have a spare. We called AAA hoping for help. After 3 hours of waiting without a tow, we left the car in a parking lot. The next morning I called and spoke to Anthony. He was very understanding and helpful. He gave us the best options for solving the problem. We had the car towed there. They inspected the vehicle, replaced the tires needed, and repaired the others. They also fixed the alignment to avoid further unnecessary tire wear. All of the work was completed as they quoted. William even went out of the way to find coupons to ease the costs of the repairs. Always come for Firestone for basic maintenance and never had an issue. Recently had my rearview mirror pop off, and they worked outside with me for half an hour to slot it back on for free. Truly could not be more appreciative. One thing I noticed is that the website sometimes has appointment slots that they don't communicate with the mechanics, which is not their fault. Several years ago I purchase Firestone's lifetime alignment for my vehicle and I used to go to the downtown location which offered remarkably friendly service but unfortunately that location closed. Recently I noticed my alignment was slightly pulling right so I figured I'd give them a call to make an appointment. Even with the appointment it took one hour and 45 minutes and the bulk of the time was used to have them courtesy inspect my car so they could write up a quote of services my vehicle needed. The mechanic who went over the inspection was thorough, and I have no issues about the items he noted on the report. Several of them I was already aware of, but they aren't pressing repairs that would require immediate attention. Upon checkout I informed the lady that I'd take a look at what they recommended for services to be performed and she insisted on printing me a quote for over $1200 of suggested work. One of which included the installation of a new battery at the cost of $180 (mind you a brand new Interstate battery at Costco is $79 with a 36 month warranty and takes no more than 5 minutes to install - Firestone's labor cost is $15 and the battery is more than double markup) For a second opinion I decided to go to my local O'Reilly's free battery check who found my 5 year old Interstate battery was still within 25% left of life, and was still performing within spec. I have done all the maintenance on my 15 year old car except for the timing belt changes. I always use all original equipment parts and am thorough and detailed-oriented. The other item recommended to me was the replacement of both front CV axle/half shafts at the cost of $956.37! The lady did not explain what issue necessitated the repair or even explain what a CV axle was. Luckily I already knew that my driver side CV boot is slightly torn and leaking grease, it has been in that condition for 3 years, but isn't making any noise or clicking, which indicates damage to the part. I feel like someone who wasn't knowledgeable about their vehicle would be probably be scared into paying nearly $1K to do a repair that wasn't critical. To their credit the alignment was performed well, and I'm happy with the results, however my car was returned to me marred with circular rubber marks all over my alloy rims from a tool they hook onto the wheels to calculate the alignment. I asked to speak with the tech who did the alignment, but was told he was at lunch. The service manager apologized and said that the vehicle shouldn't have been returned to me in that condition. read more
