The office is bright, clean, comfortable, and inviting. Dr. Gal was extremely warm, kind, and professional and her hygienist was so wonderful at making sure that I was comfortable at all times while she was working on me. The worst service I have ever got. They really don't care about the patients just want money and when I say money I mean cash from The patients. I come over there for check up as one of my filling broke, I was Waiting for a month for pre approval from the insurance for the crown, but then realized that they submit wrong information, i even got mail from The insurance that the information they submitted is wrong. I called and asked them to take care of it, as I am In pain, but nothing has changed, called again after few days and the doctor said that they was busy they couldn't do it they were to busy during these days, I was surprised with that answer and after 2 min call with Maytal she hang up the phone on me, a day later I got email say that the doctor is sick and I should find another doctor. Yes you hear it right just because I didn't want to pay extra cash on something that the insurance told me they covering and they did not submit correctly. Waist of a full month. Not mention that in the end the cost they want to charge me was double of what actually I paid somewhere else.so to say they have good affordable prices is a lie. As well let me tell you that she don't even do root canal she wanted to send me to someone else to that. I had recently moved from Encino to Studio City, so I was looking for a new dentist and found a deal for Advance Dental Studio on line. I have to say that I was very impressed with this dentist. The receptionist Rosie was welcoming and friendly and the office was very clean. Dr. Gal did the cleaning herself and she was extremely gentle. She did point out some issues I had with my receding gums, but was honest about the fact that it's not something I need to do anything about at this time. When I mentioned my teeth sensitivity, she told me about a few treatments she could provide, but was not pressuring me at all to get anything done. They don't over book appointments at this office, so I did not have to wait long before my appointment and I was not rushed during. I will definitely be coming back to Dr. Gal for my dental cleanings. read more

After 30 years with my same dentist and relocating from San Francisco to Los Angeles, Valley Village to be precise, I had to find a new dentist. I looked at several options, did my due diligence and looked on the BBB website, Yelp, local dentistry professional sites and selected Dr. Gal @ Advanced Dental. I've been there already twice; initially exam, X-rays, follow up and I've been very impressed with her and her staff. I was immediately seen upon arriving for my appointments on time, friendly and caring and Dr. Gal provides "on hands" for most procedures rather than passing duties off to her highly qualified assistant. Rosa is Dr. Gal's primary assistant in the practice and is a pleasure to work with. I've already referred my husband to her practice because he needed to switch dentists too. They take all necessary precautions due to COVID to ensure my safety as their patient. I couldn't ask for more...It was my first time here and was treated like I was a family member of their own....Very fast in the waiting room, I got there around 345PM...lucky it was just me the waiting room, I filled some papers out and was on my way to the dental chair in less the 10 minutes of walking in. I was really pleased =] Rosie the dental assistant was super nice, and made me laugh, I can tell she loved her work, I'm happy she was assisting me at the time =D We did x-rays and luckily everything was okay! after that i went to get my teeth cleaned by the doctor... after a few flashbacks from past experiences in the chair, I was happy to see that there was no power tools involved in this cleaning, and wow she didn't a fantastic job on removed the plaque from my teeth. last Rosie polished my teeth so they could be extra clean... this wonderful experience all lasted about an hour at the most.. i would highly recommend. ; - ) came here twice - for zoom whitening. the first pass made a nice difference. but i wanted that blinding white colton haynes kind of smile so i came back a second time (3 weeks later) for another treatment! there was definitely a difference with the first treatment. and i think the second made things even better although i notice the effects of the second treatment mostly when i'm outside in the sun, because i think that light has a different spectrum and visual effect on your teeth. or my teeth! but i did notice a visible and positive difference from each. the lab technician edwin who set me up here was very nice. just easy going as he goes about a basic but sort of awkward process as your mouth is stuffed with cotton, mouth guards, squirted with gel. then you pretty much sit there for three 15-minute sessions as a blue light is focused on the gel, which is freshly squired for each session. there's a digital count down timer on the light head so you can see how much time has elapsed. i would suggest bringing ear buds (not headphones... i think they'd get in the way of the chair headrest and padding and you have to lay still a certain way right up against the mouth light) and just chilling there as the session goes by. i would not suggest bringing an iPad or thinking you're going to watch things on the phone b/c you have to sit still and keep the light completely focused on your choppers. dr. gal stopped by during the process both times. she was busy with other patients but i appreciated her saying hello and at the end of the second routine, we chatted a bit. certainly a very pleasant dentist. just chill and nice. what attracted me here initially was the price, and also i chose a location in studio city even though spots in beverly hills are closer to me in hollywood. but to be honest i hate that beverly hills grind of generally difficult to find and expensive parking, everyone crossing beverly drive where all the medical offices are to their plastic surgeon or what not. plus in my experience it takes more time to get through beverly hills, park, fight the crowds in the always busy buildings, etc etc than it takes to just drive to the valley for a bit of calm and easy parking! i took quite a bit of ibuprofen before i went for this procedure, because i was sure it would hurt (your tooth sensitivity is way way wayyyyy up). i know people who couldn't last the 3 treatments (3 treatments per session), and i know a bride who had her teeth whitened (not here btw...), and it was so painful she cried! for two days too! tbh i didn't feel a thing during the process. afterward there is an occassional zing of pain shooting through your teeth / gums. but it was not at all unbearable or unexpected. anyway- beauty is pain so...! you're gonna have to suffer a little! i can't speak to the other dental services here but i'm sure they are good. the office is clean, professional, everyone i met on staff was nice. and the zoom is very well priced and effective. teeth whitening will probably be something i do every year of two. Few days ago I was eating a tomato sandwich and my tooth chipped off! It was in the middle of the night and I spent all night looking for a dentist that could fix it. I called all of them and they were all a huge disappointment. I am a broke college student. I have insurance through western dental, but they truly suck. I would rather have my teeth rot in my mouth than have western dental operate any kind of work on my teeth. I called Dr. Gal and she took me in the same day! She's truly so amazing. She took me in on her day off!! How many dentist do you know that care enough to take you in on their day off? I was a complete stranger who was in dire need of help and she came to my rescue. She not only fixed my tooth, but she was so kind and helpful. I have been to so many dentists over the last few years and each and every one of them lied to me and tried to rip me off. But Dr. Gal was very honest and answered every question I had. I went back to her today to have two fillings done and have my tooth fixed again. I was so stupid for wearing my retainers without having Dr. Gal fix them first! But she fixed my tooth again and took care of my cavities. Her prices are extremely reasonable. I will follow her everywhere she goes. Not even kidding. She's truly fantastic. I am going to get an implant done this Sunday and the price for the implant was very reasonable compared to all the other dentists I've spoken to. Excellent service and dentists. I had a terrible toothache that started yesterday and was even worse today. I called Advance dental this morning and they saw me even though I was not a patient, it was SUNDAY, and I didn't have an appointment. I am TERRIFIED of the dentist and usually take A LOT of anxiety meds before an appointment. This time though, I'm pregnant and can't take anything. Dr. Gal put me completely at ease. Unfortunately, I had to have an extraction which she did quickly and painlessly. She offered to write me a prescription for pain meds which I refused due to being pregnant. She informed me if I changed my mind I could call her ON HER CELL PHONE and she would take care of me. I've never had such personal and caring service from a dentist office before. I wasn't a patient before, but I certainly am now. And both my husband and I are going in for cleanings in three weeks. Expectations are always low when it comes to a visit to the dentist, so I'm very happy to give Dr. Gal and Tamir an excellent rating. They are friendly and flexible with their appointment schedule. I work in Brentwood and live in Valley Village, so getting to the dentist on a weekday is usually not an option. They have convenient Sunday hours and we were in and out within 30 minutes. A full set of X-rays and a consultation showed that one tooth was in need of extra attention, but there was no pressure by the staff to plunk down the cash for a fix that moment and I happily set up a follow-up appointment the next day. Let me start by saying that going to the dentist has repeatedly been one of the most stressful, anxious and painful experiences for me. I loathe going to the Dentist, in fact I put it just below drowning on the list of things I am terrified of. That all went away in the relaxed, gentle care of Dr. Gal and Rosie. The whole process was a positive, easy experience made possible by the friendly demeanor of both Dr. Gal and Rosie. They put me at ease, explaining everything that was being done and then made sure pain was not going to be part of the equation at any point. A good dentist is hard to find, let's face it. But I did :-) I have been through so many other dentists and every single time I would get anxiety before going either because of the money I would have to spend or the pain and discomfort I might endure. I never have to feel that way again. Dr. Maytal Gal is quick, gentle and always on time! I have sensitive teeth and it has never been an issue when she cleans my teeth. In fact, she is sincerely caring about her patients that she even gave me free packets to use for the sensitivity issues I had been experiencing. I couldn't agree more with the positive reviews. Going to the dentist isn't ever fun. It can be very costly both financially and emotionally. I also believe finding a dentist as an adult isn't easy. One, myself included, grows up going to a dentist our parents bring us to. We continue to go to that dentist until we move away or that dentist stops practicing and then we are off on our own. I was doing some searching online for a dentist with positive feedback located in Studio City. Dr. Gal seemed perfect and she was offering a special cleaning deal with free X-rays. I believe I payed $20. As soon as I showed up I felt at ease. Her special office manager / secretary couldn't have been any nicer and helpful. Dr Gal introduced herself immediately and told me she would be with me shortly. Appointment time was kept punctual (this goes very far for the customer) and then after X-rays she didn't hit me with a monstrous diagnostic summary for what I need to spend on my teeth and then send me to the "financial credit" sector of the office. That has happened to be in the past with two other dentist. "Oh you can't afford $6000 worth of dental work right now? That's ok we have our own financing institutions". Talk about feeling ripped off. Six months later I received a follow up call from her office asking to come in at my convenience for another cleaning. Happily I did and received another clean bill of health. My girlfriend, ironically complained about her tooth the night before. I brought her along with me and told her id like her to meet my new dentist. She's great. She came with me and Dr. Gal squeezed her in and gave her a check up and X-rays at no charge. Turns out she did have a small cavity. My girlfriend will be headed back in a week to get that taken care of. Did I mention that her whole family is in the Dentistry FEILD? All of her sisters are certified Hygienists. I look forward to having Dr Gal take care of my teeth for a very long time. Thank you Dr for your skill and service. I saw Dr. Gal for an exam and cleaning when I was living in LA a couple years ago and I have to say it was by far the most pleasant experience at a dentist's office in my life. I also got a cavity filled on that day, so that should speak volumes about the friendly professionalism of Dr. Gal and her staff. I had nothing unusual done on that day so I can't speak to complex procedures or whatnot, but if I needed an exam/cleaning in LA this is absolutely where I would go. read more

I took a chance on Dr. Gal because of positive Yelp reviews, so it's only fair that I report back that her five-star reviews are all deserved. I'm not a big fan of going to the dentist - I get anxious about it even. But as soon as I got there, Rosie was so welcoming and friendly that she put me at ease. They had gotten me in on the same day, by the way, because I could tell that an amalgam filling in a big ol' back molar was leaking, and if not fixed, wouldn't be pretty or fun. So, I was grateful they could get me in right away! X-rays were done, and then Dr. Gal sat down and examined the offending tooth, plus all the rest of them, confirmed that I did need a crown, but everything else looked great and the crown was really all I was going to need at this time. Now - I have been to at least two dentists here in the Valley that have both tried to upsell me on procedures or treatment plans that I didn't thing were necessary - so the fact that she wanted to only do what was necessary made me very happy. No push for a "deep clean" or Fluoride treatments, just what I needed. I was able to schedule the crown prep for a few days later. They told me to schedule an hour for the crown prep and I thought it would surely take longer - other crowns I have gotten have taken up to three hours - but it was even less than an hour. The only thing that hurt was the first prick of that novocain needle - and even after that wore off there was just minute discomfort. She was gentle and fast and has a great manner about her...it's obvious she loves what she does and she cares for the people who are in her chair. One week later, I got the permanent crown - again, so much faster than other places I've been, where it takes two weeks - and she got it in with no problems - just a little bit of adjustment and it fit perfectly, looks great. Rosie was able to work with my insurance, too, so even my wallet was spared the pain! I'm scheduled for a check up in 6 months and will actually look forward to it. Highly recommended! read more

I visited her office three times and got totally new tooth, she made root canal, cavity filling for next tooth, and ceramic crown. I was so scared about crown because i was able to change my front tooth, but Dr.Gal explained all details and shown me example of crown, they chose the right color. This review is very belated but better late I suppose. It's unfortunate that this is a negative review because the staff here, including the doc, is great - friendly, helpful, professional. I hadn't a bad experience. But this is *while in the office*. I haven't gone back because I was cheated and didn't want to continue funding their dishonest operations, and be overcharged. All only came to light a few months after my visit when I submitted FSA claim. Turns out they charged me way more than what they claimed on their records, and I only found out because my claim was rejected. I've NEVER had my FSA claims rejected in the many years. Everything else matched up EXCEPT for the actual amount that THEY said I paid vs. what I ACTUALLY paid. They're cheaters and frauds.. read more

I finally had the finishing touches put on my new braces over at Advance Dental. My doctor, Dr. Tamir, I'm sure tried to keep the pain to a minimum as much as braces are not at all fun to have put on. After I bought a groupon deal for a teeth cleaning plus zoom whitening, and felt like I didn't get what I paid for, I called the business and spoke to the dentist, Dr. Gal, who kindly offered to re-do the teeth cleaning and finish the service (x-rays and dental exam) that I did not receive on my first visit. She was very thorough and explained any suggestions she made, offering a mirror so I could see what she was talking about. It turns out they don't have a hygienist at the moment, so don't be alarmed if your hygienist who performs your cleaning turns out to be the dentist. They seem to be a bit bogged down by groupon customers. It's a hit or miss system. read more

As a response, that I should put an accurate facts. Below are the facts. Actually I'm happy they are asking for the facts. So I'm including an attached voucher (the contract). I highlight what's in the context of this document. The best evidence is the document itself. This document is the contractual agreement between 2 agreeing parties. By law if two parties agreed upon. It's executory and binding. The doctor patient relationship is and must be performed and was established already. This contract is a pure Prima facie evidence. Who would be not be ungrateful if a procedure was promised on you. And by the time you are going to be treated all of a sudden the doctor will back out and say I won't treat/clean your teeth because its otherwise. There's no "exclusion" that "deep cleaning" is exempted in this contractual agreement. Total breached of contract. Instead the Dr. told me to pay $150x2 cleaning session =$300. I felt bait and switched scenario. Not "honoring " the voucher. To think the voucher costs $375 value if "not on sale" so therefore, they should performed the cleaning of my teeth. But I was told they wont do it unless I pay $150 half quadrant then after a month another $150 the remaining quadrant of my mouth. Again this document speaks for itself and it is the best evidence. People who are reading can judge me if I'm wrong. No matter what your price is whether .01 cent nor $1M please don't be condescending and honor what's written in the contract. The reason contract is made is for people to perform and deliver what's being agreed upon. If I am the one presented with this voucher I will gladly accept and perform the services no question.
