We talked about what my typical use for my F-150 Lightning (5'7" bed) would see on an infrequent basis - nothing heavy duty, just full sheets of plywood, 2x4s, some pea gravel, etc. Roy didn't have a single negative thing to say about other comparable spray-in bed liners. His point was to simply educate me on what I would consider to be the best suit for MY needs in protecting my truck bed. Valley Truck had my business at that point. On my appointment day, I met with Troy and I asked him regarding the specifics on what the Bullet Liner coverage would look like and what was involved with regards to the removal of non-coated items in the truck bed. Troy went over all the details with me as he called out areas in my truck bed that would see coverage, what would be pulled/masked off that should not be sprayed, and even the reasons for why certain things would be elected to be kept bare, such as the bed bolts. Now, I've spoken with others and have had the personal experience of seeing a multitude of different truck bed lining treatments - all I can say is, Troy is representative of a professional with an attention to detail skill set and someone who takes pride in their craft. That attention to detail showed and the result was an ultra-clean and well-laid out coverage throughout the F-150's bed. Best of all, it's not super-abrasive, but definitely has a gripping surface with a hardness that can obviously take a beating. I'm really pleased with the result. If you're looking to save some skin on those knees when kneeling down in your truck bed and you're looking for a very competitively priced spray-in bedliner that is hard as nails, this is the way to go! When I picked up the car, I immediately noticed scratches on the left side of the hood, 6 inches wide and 3 inches high. I informed Johnny that they were not there when I had taken the car in. He informed me that he had had noticed them prior to any repair on the car. I have had my car for two years and I am meticulous with taking care of it. I am always checking the car for any scratches or damage. He suggested that the scratches had perhaps been caused by car wash brushes. It has always been hand washed. We went back and forth via text. He advised me that he was going to check with his employees and ask them if the scratches were already there when I took the car in. First of all, since he had informed me that he had noticed that the scratches were already there when I dropped of the car, then why is there a need to check with his employees? He was contradicting himself. He left me a message and wanted to speak with me. What was the point? He was just going to continue to deny that they were already there. I did not call him back. I texted him and told him that I was not going to write a review, as I knew that he would respond and continue to deny that the scratches were already there. I took my car to Caliber Collision in Chino and discussed perhaps painting my hood. The manager I spoke with immediately noticed the scratches and informed me that it was obvious that an object had been placed there which had caused the scratches. I have NEVER laid anything on my hood. It was just further confirmation for me that the damage had been the result of carelessness by one of his employees. These scratches can't be buffed out. In addition, he charged me $500 for the repair done of the left side. More than once he kept telling me that he was not making any money as he was going to give the money to his employees. I paid him and as far as I am concerned, he made $500. I don't care what he did with that money. I have learned a very difficult lesson. This experience has taught me the need to take videos and pictures of my car should I ever need repairs in the future. I had told him that I was not going to waste my time and write a review, as he would just continue to deny this issue. However, after the manager at Caliber Collision confirmed that the damage had been done by an object being placed on the hood, it just confirmed what I thought and I decided to write this review. While I already know that in his response, he will continue to deny the damage that was caused by one of his employees, I decided to write this review as a way to inform prospective customers and advise that it is a good idea to video/take pictures of your car prior to any work being done. Accidents happen. It is just frustrating that he would not own up to it.
