Had to do Smog on my car but had CEL P420 code. Went to Advance Muffler. Dago took a look at the code and put the car on the lift to take a look at it. Gave me a quote on the catalytic converter/labor and told me the part could be there the next day 8:30am. I asked Dago to order the catalytic converter and showed up the next day at 8:30am. I went to this place because it was marked 5 stars and once I got there I spoke with Dago who installed my 2 catalytic converters on my 07 Yukon. He was thorough and very helpful. The service installation was fast. The prices are very reasonable and the service u get is 5 stars. I went to get a smog check and it failed, however it was not Dago's fault, the technician at the smog company entered wrong information. I called Dago and explained situation and he took the liberty to call the Smog company and stated to them they made the mistake. Upon further review the Smog company realized they were at fault and re-smogged my vehicle and it PASSED. If Dago would not have taken the liberty to call and straightened it out, I would off been going back and forth with the smog company. Thank you Dago for going above and beyond. I took my car in in Tuesday for a axel-back exhaust install. The installation process required the bumber to be cut in order to accommodate the extra set of tail pipes. I called the shop and spoke with Dago, he gave me a great quote and got me in by the next day. Upon arrival I showed him and his mechanic exactly what I wanted. He was able to fully re-fabricate my exhaust to change the angle of how low it was to the ground (couldn't stand the scrapes). Amazing First off, I'm a car guy, so I know quality work when I see it. It's all in the details. Sure, someone can weld a muffler in, but will they go the extra mile to make sure the exhaust is aligned perfectly? Before I get into that, let me start with something else. I needed my stock mufflers cut off my 5.0 and Flowmasters welded onto the stock piping. I also needed hangers welded. I called for a quote and Dago said he'd do it for $45 each (I have 2 mufflers on my car). I came early before the shop opens and Dago and Caesar (excuse me if I spell it wrong) pull up from picking up parts. No biggie. Dago apologizes for making me wait. It was really no problem, I was waiting maybe 10 minutes, but the fact that he apologizes for coming late is a testament to his great character. Caesar was the one who worked on my muffler. He was really cool and explained things about what he was doing as I watched. He also noticed small details such as how the factory exhaust hangs a bit low, and how each catback behind the H-pipes were routed differently, (ideally, they'd be identical) which made the job more difficult. Dago helped cut additional pipes in order to fit the new muffler onto the stock pipes. The guys were shooting ideas at one another, trying to figure how out how to best approach the install. After they came to a conclusion, Caesar did all the welding. He would very meticulously line up the muffler, spot weld, step back, adjust, spot weld more, adjust if needed, and then finish the welding. I was watching an artist at work. That is the only way to describe it. Real recognize real. After about an hour, the job was finished. The welds were beautiful and the mufflers were aligned perfectly, and the exhaust tips were in the original position. I've seen messy welds before that look like some Jackson Pollock painting, but no, not Caesar's work. It was as smooth as Rembrandt. Time to pay. I asked Dago how much. He gave me a cheaper price than he quoted on the phone! I said I didn't have cash, but I would like to pay in cash so that he didn't get charged any credit card fees. He offered to give me a lift to the bank to pull out some cash. Real recognize real. We chopped it up in the car, really cool, humble dude! I told him I found this place on Yelp and stopped by because it had good reviews. He asked me to write one for him. So here it is. I don't usually write reviews unless I have really good things to say about the place. Dago & Caesar are the best. I will come back here and recommend this place to my friends and family. Recently my Check Engine light came on for my 2001 Chevy Tahoe and determined it was catalytic converter issue. Since I had to have a smog check done on the truck, I had to get the catalytic replaced in order for the truck to pass the smog test. I took my truck to a local mechanic and he told me it was going to be $2000 to replace both catalytic converters (I did not know my truck had two converters). This mechanic also charged me diagnostic fee to tell me i needed to replace both converters. Thinking this seemed to be an exorbitant amount of money I called Advanced Muffler to get a quote. I was told to bring my truck in and he would check the code (at no cost) and see what was causing the Check Engine issue. He checked the code and found it was only one catalytic converter malfunctioning and the price was significantly less than the first mechanic I went to. Since he had the converter in stock he was able to replace it in an hour. This place has great service. Guys are super chill and will work with you on price to make it fair. I went to get my cat back exhaust installed into my si and I have a really hard time letting other people work on my car cause I usually do everything myself. These guys actually let me get under my car with them and watch and even help them out. He even went and got new gaskets and bolts for me cause I didn't have any. The job did take a little longer than it should have, although it was worth it seems how I was able to help them and they wanted to make sure everything was good.
