This company is extremely horrible. The driver don't know how to backup my truck and hit the pole scratched my truck. I wonder how he get his driver's license and he denied he didn't scratch my truck and denied to fix my truck. I took my truck to boydshop for repair and ask them to pay the repair bill and they denied to pay. I highly recommend not using this company!!! read more

This company is HORRIFIC. I was told 45 min for an emergency tow. After over an hour I called and was told the driver is busy and another 30 min at least. I tried to explain the dire situation that I need a tow to get my flat tire changed ASAP because my grandmother is dying and I need get it fixed today so I can see her before she goes. He yelled at me because I was upset and said too bad and cancelled the tow truck. An appalling experience with a heartless human being. read more

Jonathan, the driver came to our rescue last week when our muffler fell off while exiting an underground parkade. It flipped over while still attached and got caught under the rear bumper. We waited almost an hour thinking for sure our car had to be towed but Jonathan went above and beyond to help us. He managed to get the muffler unstuck from underneath the car and ground. He popped the bumper back on for us and saved us from needing to be towed. Our battery had died too while having to turn on the 4-way flashers as we were sitting in a precarious blind spot so he recharged it for us. Having a friendly, kind, courteous driver come to our rescue was a blessing. When we thanked him he said that was why he came to do this job--to help people! God bless you Jonathan! read more

They came within 30 minutes which was the only good part. The guy that came didnt even bother to greet us. He then proceeded to put the tow bar on a weird angle and tried to put it underneath the car while SCRAPING the bottom. He realized it was scraping so he lowered it more to fit underneath. He didnt bother to say anything and once we pointed it out at the shop, he denied it. He called his manager and said his manager would say the same. During the car ride, he was texting and swearing at whoever was texting him. Completely unprofessional. His truck number is 48. Would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Whoa. I was on a desserted section of Greystone Dr in Bby late last nite ( Sat,Jan 7 ) when i pulled over to the shoulder to take an emergency phone call...Huge mistake!!! Immediately sunk into the soft shoulder and I mean sunk...Called 3 companies who basically blew me off as i could give them no address, only that I was 350 meters from Duthie...It was gonna be a long nite until i called Advance...Dispatch worked with me to get a 20 on where I was, 20 minutes later I was contacted by the tow truck driver whose name was Harvey...15 minutes later he had me hooked up and got me pulled out...Now I was in really deep and it took some manouvering but he got it done..Price was very fair considering the struggle he went thru......From now on I will use and reccomend no other towing service anywhere except the good people from Advance...Much appreiated... read more

The driver ran over our sign which we have video of. we called to report the damage and several weeks later we have yet to receive payment for the damage. We have phoned and emailed the management several times and they never return our calls. I can only imagine how they would handle a situation where they damage a vehicle. Accidents happen but the manner in which they are dealing with this is inexcusable. Extreemly disappointing. read more

STAY AWAY! First, the driver of the tow truck was trying to line up the t-bar lift and forgot to put my car in park so it almost rolled to hit the parked car in front of me on the street. Then when returning to my car, he turned my ignition key when the car was already on. The screeching sound that came from my car made us cringe. He proceeded to take the car to Stan's transmission where I learned the driver did not hook up the car correctly and took this picture. I'm not sure why but he sees this every day so I trust him. The Drive also released the car too soon while on the sloped entrance of the shop, so the transmission technicians had to put wood planks under the car so we could drive it off the lift. While the technicians were checking to see if my car was damaged from the incorrect set up, the driver proceeded to lower the car. One tech had his head under the front tire and the body of the car surrounding that ended up hitting him at the top of the head. The driver showed no remorse and even argued it was the fault of the technicians. He should be taking into account safe practices for your car and other humans but clearly doesn't care. I called and reported the incident to a manager at Advance Towing and he said he would call Stan's Transmission to apologize. I confirmed with Stan's that this did not happen. Unethical company that doesn't care about you or your car, go elsewhere. But if you have a transmission issue, take it to Stan's. read more

A d-oh! moment: firmly locking the car door only to realize the keys are not in my hand. I never knew it before, but in these situations, if you don't have a auto club membership, you can call a towing company to come rescue your keys. The tow truck came within about 20 minutes, and the friendly driver did his magic with the wedge and wire to open the door so I could retrieve the keys. All for the low, low price of $47.25. Although I was really pleased with the service, I feel weird about giving too high a rating to a company that might tow me someday down the line. It could happen. read more

Took a miserable situation, calmed me and took care of everything. And at a completely fair rate that I was so relieved. Keys at bottom of Pacific Ocean 20 minutes before leaving on an 10 day Boat trip, car now stranded in a Loading Zone at Coal Harbor Marina, I don't live in BC. OMG! What to do? Mo answered my panicked call on Sunday morning and walked through my options, no pressure let me decide and call back. I called back and they sent Craig over, who was calm and friendly; hooked up my car to be taken away and arranged for a place to leave car until I return from my trip. After waiting over an hour and a half for a tow trunk and being told over the phone that the tow truck was 7 minutes away, it did not show up. We tried calling Advance back but we were sent to voice mail multiple times. This service is very unreliable. I would recommend going to another Tow Truck company for your car troubles. read more

What a horrible company, I called them for a quote to take my vehicle to the auction and they quoted me $70 plus a 10% fuel charge a total of $77, to which I agreed. When I met them at the auction they told me the bill was $115. They said it was $70 for the pick up only, I argued and said that the dispatcher quoted me $77, they said that it was $70 Plus Plus. No one likes tow trucks. I get that. I have been on the receiving end of the few. Worse is that I hate calling a tow truck on someone, however, we knocked on all the doors of every building to try and find out whose car was parked in our spot. Of course we couldn't find the person, therefore, we had to call these guys since they were one of the few to pop up on the Google search. Of course the guy saw his car being towed and came running out. The tow truck driver could've thrown us under the bus and rated us out that we called him but instead he just pointed out that the guy should've been illegally parked. I am glad that the tow truck driver didn't throw us under the bus 'cause it would've been a very ugly confrontation. read more

Although it was a slow start (dispatcher said 20 min. wait, was more like 40 min.), the driver did call to adjust the arrival time though, so appreciated that. The tow was from East Vancouver to North Vancouver and the price quoted was the price charged and paid -- for less than what I had expected. Craig, the tow driver, was great; very professional, excellent attitude and courteous. If I ever need a tow again, this is the company I'm calling! read more

I called Advance Towing last evening with my vehicle not starting in my own parking lot. The tow truck driver who arrived, Erin, was excellent, personable, co-operative and listened carefully to what I felt was the problem. It took awhile to access the battery of my vehicle but I was able to help also with providing a flashlight to partially remove a cover over the battery terminals. Thankfully, the vehicle did start and I was able to drive it to my dealership nearby. In conversation, it was obvious that Erin enjoys working for Advance Towing as a driver on the road. I have also called the manager of the company to give my compliments as well. He is an excellent representative of this company. I would call Advance Towing again if needed. read more

I needed a boost on the sea to sky highway. I happened to have a business card for Advanced Towing. I phoned and was patched through to some dope head who was just waking up (at 1:30 in the afternoon). He said he would be there in about an hour or so. While I was waiting he phoned me like 4 times to complain about his life (as if I care). When he finally showed up. He looked like a wannabe biker, skin head (I guess that's to be expected). His eyes were bugging out of his head and he was talking a mile a minute and wouldn't shut up. I think he was on something. He had a bad vibe about him. Every instinctive red flag was going up as soon as he pulled up. It got a little nerve racking having this creep around my family. At one point I heard him say 'Aren't you a cute thing' to my 14 year old daughter. He kept screwing around with every other part of the motor except the battery. Not doing anything bad, just not fixing the problem. And he just kept talking and talking and talking about things that I couldn't even begin to care about. It was almost as if he didn't want to fix what was wrong because then he would not have anybody to listen to his B.S. life story. It was just a bad experience all around. Yes, he fix the problem. It cost about 60 bucks. But I will never, ever call Advanced Towing again for anything. They need to be more careful about who they hire to drive for them. Do more back round checks or something. Because they've got some freaks working for them. read more

I stupidly backed my car into a shallow ditch in the lane behind my house last night at almost midnight. I called Advance and they were there in about 25 minutes, It took almost half an hour to get my car out because of the awkward way it landed in the ditch. The driver (whose name I forget to get) was very creative and finally got my car out. I was very grateful. read more

Excellent customer service from these guys both on the phone and in person. when I called them for the tow truck the lady on the phone explained everything thoroughly and told me a pretty close ETA. When the driver got there he was great too. He was patient with me and explained how the whole was going to work.
