Jim Thurber was the Project Manager who walked me through the process of putting everything back together again. He actually worked with my Insurance Adjuster, and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, except for an unforeseen leak with wall damage after the initial estimate was done. He had his employees there around 8 am every day they were supposed to be there. Alex and Marcus (i am not sure of the names, but hopefully I got it right) did the drywall/patching of the mess of my kitchen. Then the cabinet team finished it off, painted everything exactly matching the original paint, and put all the appliances back where they belonged. The kitchen looked brand new, and everything was cleaned up afterwards. The timeline was as first estimated. If there were any issues, Jim took care of it! I called their office asking for a price to install a toilet and was told that no such estimate could be given over the phone and would be evaluated and quoted once the worker arrived. When plumber arrived he looked at his phone and said "$382". Which I thought high since the new toilet was unboxed and moved near the installation point and old toilet drained of water with water turned off in a single story home with the front door 20 feet from the bathroom. A slam dunk, I installed the old toilet myself 40 years ago but age and lifting have caught up with me. Also, I had a new angle stop valve ready to go and was told that would be $160 more to install. I asked if that included a valve and he said "no, that would be $60 more" (I paid ~$9). A couple of months ago I installed 4 of the same valves under 2 sinks next to each other in the house myself in about an hour. I have a compression sleeve puller (not needed if you are lucky) and other tools required. I almost said "wait here, I'll install a new angle stop while you wait in the truck", but the old one didn't leak so I let it go. My point is the person at the main office should be able to quote a minimum price - I can't imagine an easier toilet to install than mine so $382 must be the minimum? And $160 to replace an easy to reach angle stop when the plumber is already on site and one that is not even under a sink is nuts in my opinion.
