I got an awake lipo 360 here and awake bbl with Mike Sullivan, he did a corrective surgery on me because the other doctor in miami left me with bad fibrosis on my tummy. I wish I would have came here instead of go to miami for my original treatment. It looks a lot better now. *BEWARE* I had a procedure called Facetite by Mike Sullivan at Advanced Aesthetics. The whole procedure took only 120 seconds. I researched later, that a typical Facetite procedure time should be around 15-45 minutes. I do not know why he rushed, but I was left with 3rd degree burns and facial nerve trauma. 3rd degree burns, also called full-thickness burns, are the most severe type of all burn injuries. They destroy ALL LAYERS OF THE SKIN and can damage underlying tissues like fat, muscle and bone. When I went back to see Mike, he was very dismissive, and said I had thin skin. Obviously he was trying to cover his negligence. I ended up going to the University Medical Center Burn unit to treat the burns. It has been very traumatizing, and I do not want anyone else to go through this! read more

I've been going here for 10years or so. I noticed my botox/dysport fading after 2-3months max and was told it was do to age and happens over time. It wasn't until my friend recommended another med spa and I tried it out - the results lasted me 6months. I'm not sure if it's diluted or how it's injected but this place doesn't last me long at all. However, this place is nearly half the price so I wanted to get my trap botox done since It's for an event and didnt care If it lasted longer. Unfortunately, I ran late but was told there was a 15min grace period. I got there 13min late and was told I couldn't be seen. Just another sign of why I should not have came back. Just thought I'd save you the time and money by sharing my experience. Also, I paid for the co2 laser and was told I only needed 1 treatment to remove all my scars/texture- I questioned how that can be possible but she kept telling me it's minor and it will be 1 and done!! For starters I have know Jackie Johnson, one of the many exceptional aestheticians working there, in a skincare professional manner for maybe a dozen years. After following her around town during that time, when she landed at Advanced Aesthetics on Rainbow many years back is when I started coming here. One of the reasons I really like Jackie is because often my time with her is really like a college level study discussion about the science of skincare.... cut the chit-chat and let's talk skin and I love it! First starting out with basic aesthetic care of a facial or the like maybe ten years ago and fast forward to the Microneedling I had done just yesterday (and the countless lasers, radio frequency Microneedling, Cool Sculpting, peels, dermablading, Clear+ Brilliant, botox, etc. I have had in between), my overarching sentiment to hammer home to anyone reading this review is trust. Trust.... I have trusted Jackie implicitly with the task of knowing my skin. Using her certified skills, keeping current with state regulations and continued education, learning about and training on the latest treatments. She and everyone working there have extensive work experience in order to be on this team and are top notch. There is no upsell on anything other than great looking skin, problem solving your skin, maintaining what you desire, which in my case is the most natural, bright, youthful, radiant, elasticity of a face that I can possibly have rooted in science not trends. I am in it for the long game. Trust.... And although I see Jackie because we have an established skin relationship going back countless years, on occasion, I have seen Amy or Meaghan or Jeff (he is like ninja with a needle, he does not say a whole lot, but is a perfectionist and the skill set of his steady hand is remarkable) and I equally trust them all. The wrong injection or the wrong procedure in the wrong spot at the wrong time under the wrong guidance or conditions can go horribly wrong on a skincare table and your face, so you 100% have to find professionals you absolutely trust. And yes, as some Yelp reviews indicate, you do have to go through a few prompts and normally a wait time on hold or leave a message for a return phone call within 24 hours, but it is a small consequence for great service that I trust. They have a large practice that people love and it comes with the territory. When checking in upon arrival, the desk is always welcoming and well staffed and often someone is on the phone kindly, patiently and warmly speaking with and explaining services/programs or skincare details to a client. They will afford you the same undivided attention on the phone, it might just require a bit of a wait or a return call. They will be in touch. As it goes with many things in life, you get what you pay for. Medical grade skincare services come at a price. It's an investement. But in being a good steward of every dollar you spend, you need to trust the person with the lasar, the needle, the tool and know you are putting your money in the right hands. Advanced Aesthetics has a monthly program, packages and also a la carte services. Their website shares all they have to offer, so I need not repeat here. With many MD's, RN's, PA's and the like on staff, your skin is in good hands and so is your money. SkinMedica and Glo Skin Beauty are the main product lines they carry. And although I personally think that the there is room in the arena of skincare for entry skincare brands sold at Target to high end brands sold on-line or purchased from specialty pharmacies, these two brands I think reflect the business manta of Advanced Aesthetics....science driven, trusted and the perfect blend of proven and cutting edge at a multitude of price points And regardless of where you are on your skincare journey, be it 25 years of age and just thinking about things or 50 and way behind the ball and need to get started, Advanced Aesthetics can get you on the path to improved skin that you will love looking at in the mirror. I've been getting Botox and fillers for over 10 years and have never had an experience this bad. Laura, the injector, convinced me to switch from Botox to Dysport. She said it was "better for me," but later admitted it was mainly cheaper. I don't mind paying more for quality, I mind being misled. More importantly, the way she injected me left me bruised, in pain, and with huge visible bumps in my masseters for over two weeks. My face felt heavy, looked distorted, and was so unnatural I had to cancel work and shoots, costing me both time and money. Even Mike Sullivan another provider there, admitted it was likely due to incorrect placement or too much product. When I came back, Mike did correct the issue, which I appreciated. But instead of leaving it there, he immediately pushed me on facial lipo, pulling out before and after photos and telling me I was the perfect candidate. I drove 40 minutes for another consult, only to have my questions about lipo ignored and be pressured to buy Morpheus 8 instead. When I refused, I was suddenly told I wasn't a candidate for lipo after all, the explanation didn't make sense, especially since the "history" they cited was only an issue created by their own injection. When I asked Mike directly for an explanation, he never responded. Instead, I later received an email saying they would no longer be able to see me as a patient. That was almost laughable... as if I would want to return after everything that happened. Rather than taking responsibility, they chose to dismiss me, which says a lot about how they handle their mistakes. This entire ordeal was disorganized, unprofessional, and felt like a sales pitch instead of medical care. It was beyond inconvenient, it disrupted my life, cost me money, and caused weeks of unnecessary pain and stress. Definitely not the level of care I expect or would recommend. PS: I later learned Mike Sullivan is not a doctor, which makes it concerning that he's the one performing lipo at this practice. read more

My personal experience at this location for lip injections was disappointing and after reading reviews I believe may be common. Reception desk seemed nice - there was what felt like disorganization. I was walked into the bathroom with a staff member to watch me put numbing cream on myself. Then after sitting for 25 minutes when I was brought back into the room there was another 15 minute consult with the injector. The product used was not opened in the room - a small tray with two different syringes were brought in. The injections were extremely painful. And her rolling the filler around in my lips was not something I experienced previously at the Dr I went to a couple years ago. I bruised very bad, the inflammation went down after three days and my 'filler' was dissolved within two weeks. Waste of $600. Upon check out it was encouraged to leave a gratuity for the injector. Today I went back to Dr. Miller for filler. The first experience I had was at his office not in any way affiliated with advanced aesthetics. I will never not go to this - a - proper plastic surgeons office. The Dr himself brought in the sealed product that was to be used and did a simple consult. The nurse applied numbing cream for me and after 15 minutes the dr came in to perform the injections. I felt nothing, no bruising, minor swelling. Worth every penny. I did not see a single sign about tipping the injector and the whole office was friendly running smoothly and effortlessly read more

Injector Bernie, I recently went in for a lip touch up, expecting the $100 discount for booking within 30 days of my original appointment. So I was expecting to pay 450-350. Unfortunately, the entire experience left me upset and confused. I asked for more fullness and a softer, more rounded Cupid's bow. While I understand not all changes are achievable and he did explain that adjusting my Cupid's bow wasn't possible, which I respected. However the way he spoke to me throughout the appointment felt unnecessarily condescending and dismissive. He told me more fullness wouldn't look good on me, which felt less like professional guidance and more like a personal judgment. Then I was told I'd need to buy another syringe for more volume, even though I thought the touch up already included one. He only ended up touching up my upper lip, but I was too uncomfortable to even try to ask him about my bottom lip. To make things even more confusing, i went to the front desk to pay, I didn't end up being charged for anything which just left me feeling more unsure about what had even happened. There was no explanation. I left the appointment in tears. I felt humiliated and insulted. I've booked with Bernie before and had an okay experience, but after this visit, I won't be returning. Disappointed. Went in for botox around eyes by Mary Sullivan Force, RN with 18 yrs experience and owner and she gave me dysport, which I had not asked for and also injected incorrectly around my left eye which left me with eye droop for 4 months. Went in for follow up to see what could be done by Mike Sullivan and he suggested Upneeq eye drops which did help. I had to pay another $200 to get them and the prescription is only 30 days so I still have 3 more months to deal with so probably at least another prescription. Emailed office manager asking if they would consider repaying me for the prescription, but no one responded. read more

So, I saw Frankie Day for C02 treatment fractional laser. It did not go well. First of all, I didn't get the treatment until almost 40 minutes or so after we removed the numbing cream. I went through the whole laser process without being numb. It was pretty painful. Then, I was not given realistic expectations for my results. She basically told me that all my scarring would go away. Well it didn't obviously, because that's not how it works. I was not given products or a list of products to purchase to help aid healing. All I was told was vinegar rinse for a little while after treatment, stay out of the sun and use sunscreen. There are tons of products that are used post treatment to help recovery. I wish I had known what they are. It's been 10 months and I've been sharing that I have hyperpigmentation and also it's incredibly reactive to anything like soap or hot water. I was going to the sauna and I told them this and they didn't have a problem with it. Well they should have said don't go to the sauna. I was able to go back and complain and she needed to get the main doctor to prescribe me hydroquinone because she honestly seemed to have no idea what to do at all. I actually needed a whole host of things to help repair my skin barrier. It's still gone and it's been almost a year already. I have marks all over my face. There is a reason this place is cheap. I'm well known in the aesthetics industry because I am a medical artist, and every one I speak to says this company should be sued. Frankie follows me on Instagram and when I talk about this she does nothing. When I send her pics she does nothing. I don't believe she knows what she is doing.
