A/C failed during the recent heat wave. Vendor managed to schedule our service the very next day. He arrived on time, rapidly diagnosed the blown fuse but didn't have the correct one available. The 3 ton AC unit on my home failed after 33 years. I then called Gabe at Advanced Air and his recommendation was to replace the unit as it was leaking natural gas. He called the warranty company for approval and within 2 days the AC was up and running. It was a flawless installation. His crew was professional in approaching the task. Great communication on Gabe's part to step me through the process. Now, there is more airflow through my house when using the air conditioner; as a huge upgrade in the quality of temperature control is in place. Advanced Air was sent out by American Home Shield to complete my request. My original appointment was scheduled for tomorrow; however, I received a call that my air conditioner could be serviced today. Today was 105° outside and my 2nd floor of my home hit 91° so I was very appreciative. Horacio was the technician who came out and immediately identified the problem! He fixed my issue in 30 minutes and my air conditioner is cooling my house as I type this review. Because I used my warranty through American Home Shield, I am not 100% of the cost it would have been without the warranty, but you can't put a price on fixing an air conditioner in our Valley heat. So I have a love hate relationship with this company. A year ago they did not show up three times for a AC tune up after scheduling a tune up with their office. I ripped them online and refused to use them even though my home warranty company pays them to tune up my house for free. Now a year later I had them come tune up my heater. Well this time they did a great job and showed up on time and on the day I scheduled them. I am posting this review hoping that they have fixed their customer service issues. I would not ever recommend these guys. They were assigned to me by AHS and the tech showed up 30 minutes late from the time slot I was booked for. They were there to TRY to fix my heater. After about 30 minutes of work, Tech tells me that whoever did work prior made a mess and they would not fix someone else's work. I called Gabe to ask for further details and he sounded like he REALLY wanted to help me. Advanced Air closed my request as completed. The heater still not working. I call Gabe back...No answer...leave a voicemail...no return call Gabe claims to be in the HVAC business for almost 20 years but still does not know how to treat customers. Anyway, I had another contractor come out and found the issue in less than 10 minutes, and 30 minutes later my heater was fixed. Way to run a business GABE! read more

This company was assigned to us by AHS to do an annual service on our A/C-Heater. It just happened that the heater stopped blowing warm air right before they showed up. My wife told the technician what was going on and they told her that the heating unit was no good and they had to call AHS to get the OK to replace it. Two MONTHS later and no response! My wife called them multiple times. AHS called them multiple times and nobody ever answers the calls or returns the messages left on their voicemail. Do yourself a favor and save a lot of frustration: call another company and don't do business with Advanced Air. read more

It's been eight weeks since Gabe at Advanced Air installed a new HVAC system on our roof and apparently, he doesn't know how to install it correctly. We have called him repeatedly with ongoing problems with it. He rarely answers his phone and shows up at his leisure to mess around with it, but never fixes it. I believe we will need to file a complaint with the state contractors license board to see if they can require him to do the work right. Buyer beware. read more

This repair ended up being a replacement. Advanced air was sent by AHS. We had 3 service calls by Horatio over approximately 2-3 weeks ending with Gabriel requesting a replacement. He kept us informed of the progress of the request. Eventually after about 4 weeks the new unit arrived and 3 days later was installed. Gabriel and 2 of his technicians arrived at 6:30 am and removed the old unit from the roof. The crane got here and had the new unit on the roof in 20 minutes. They completed the installation by 10:00 am. We are very happy with this experience. I would recommend this company. read more

My home warranty dispatched them for our AC. They gave me their info to be able to expedite service. I called and left 3 voicemails in 2 days and no reply - today was the 48 hour mark and finally got through and they were incredibly rude and said they got my requests and no longer work with home warranty and I asked why they couldn't call me back to let me know because we've been waiting. He then hung up on me. I called my home warranty and they have an email from advanced air stating that they have availability Monday. The man that answered was so disrespectful and rude, there was no need to hang up on me. read more

I work from home, and hear my ac start making a shrieking nose so I turned it off and put in a service request with American Home Shield. They assigned Advanced Air. Gabe and another worker arrived and knew immediately after witnessing the issue that I needed the fan replaced. They went to go get it, and came back later that day and installed it. Worked great. A day or two later, I had an issue just with the placement of wires coming out the replaced fan and wanted it secured differently. Put in a follow-up service request, and they came back and made it all nice, neat and secure looking. I was more than pleased and would recommend and do business with them anytime. read more

I would not recommend them. They will lie and gaslight you to your face. They had no idea I can understand Spanish and I heard them talk about how much they hate doing duck work and didn't want to go under the house to fix the poor air flo. They said the house was old and it is what it is? The next company fixed the kink and propper air flow was returned. How do you work in HVac and refuse to do your job? They never went under the house and pulled the vent up using tape and called it good. I am beyond disappointed with them. read more

Don't recommend. Went through home warranty and they did not do what they promised to do, so I had to go with another company. I told them a leak inspector said a drain pan should be replaced. They said they would fix it and they would let me know if warranty would cover it. They told me warranty would cover it and they will make the pan. I called for an update and they told me it was finished and they needed to put me on the schedule because they were super busy - it would be about two weeks out. They told me they would call me back, but never did. Never received that phone call and I waited another week and so I called them and they stop answering my phone. I eventually got a hold of someone and then was told the same thing : finished and need to be on schedule, we will call you back later today. I didn't get anything and kept calling, but no answer. I called next day and no answer, I left messages and no answer. Eventually, I had to call the home warranty to contact them. They told the home warranty that the pan was not the one they initially reported and the home warranty told me it was not covered. The home warranty also told me that they were ordering the part and would call me Monday (3 days later). So basically I was lied to, dragged along, and ghosted by this company. I had water remediation, and a construction repair project on hold because we wanted the AC repaired. The project was on hold, so long the construction contractor quit. They left us with no AC during the month of august in the Central Valley. I highly don't recommend this company, it's sad that the home warranty does business with people who would do such a thing to people who are in need of help. It was fn summer and I have my family in this house. I highly recommend Arctic Air Inc. because they ordered my pan on Monday and repaired my ac problem by Wednesday! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I woke up to a freezing house this week,I thought my husband was being cheap and didn't want to turn the heater on, after my complaints he turned it on, only to find out it wasn't working. I was worried that we wouldn't have a working heater this winter, considering AC companies are always swamped. I called Advanced Air and spoke with Gabe personally. Very direct, honest and knowledgeable guy. I explained that the unit was not powering on and he said he was very busy but would make an attempt to stop by.
