The short version: I went in three weeks ago for a hearing test, intending to order hearing aids. No one has contacted me since then, despite leaving multiple messages. Guess they don't want my business, so I'm taking it elsewhere. Longer version: Found this place through my insurance coverage, was able to schedule a hearing test within two weeks, went in and got it done without any issues. The tech was polite and professional but their insurance person was gone for the day, so I was told they'd contact me after the weekend. I waited a full week, then called and left a message. I called again the next week, and spoke to someone who was not friendly and did not seem at all concerned about the situation, who said the portal to look up my insurance was down and someone would call me the next day. Four days later, I went in and asked for a copy of my test results to take them somewhere that actually wants to sell me hearing aids to address the issue I came in for! When I went to get my copy, all the staff in the front office were shooting one another looks while I was waiting for my printout, which was awkward. I have still have never received any contact whatsoever to follow up after doing my hearing test. read more

They have been the worst. I bought first time hearing aids out of pocket $3500 each side Phonak's I've been back to Advance 15 times to get them fixed. When I bought them I was never told how to use them except this turns them off n on,and volume. No paperwork no little booklet on how to work. I had to call Phonak back east n they told me how to download. After so many times going back the first year they threatened me with $75. Charges ever time I went back. They haven't done that but really the worst customer service. Everyone I go back there's someone new behind the desk. read more

The Office experience at Advanced Audiology Institute at the W. Cheyenne location was unpleasant. The reception toward me when I checked in with the office receptionists was cold, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. They made me feel so anxious, to the point where initially, I couldn't find and/or didn't want to find my insurance card to present! No one ever addressed me by my name. I felt like leaving before being seen, and I wish I had! Additionally, when my appointment was over, they did not say anything to me when I left; (e.g. "Thank you for coming," and not even a "Goodbye" or the typical "Have a nice day! or "Hope to see you again!" Not to worry--I will not be going back where I am made to feel unwanted and unwelcome, and where I am not treated or greeted cordially or respectfully. Also, no one at the reception desk told me that I would be seeing a different doctor which also made me feel some kind of way. Someone at the reception desk could have courteously informed me and explained why the doctor I had been scheduled to see for days, had been changed. The audiologist I saw, told me the reason only after I asked him. Last, the office was not very clean. The windows and floors were quite visibly dirty. read more

OH MY GOSH! If there was a "0" rating that is what Advanced Audiology Institute/Vegas Hearing Aids/Dr. Sophia Taylor would receive. The office on Russell Rd is only open 1 day a week (Thursday). They ordered an Oticon rechargeable battery for my 95 year old mother's hearing aid close to six weeks ago. They said it would take only a week. I'm unable to order the battery as Oticon only has accounts with audiologists. I've been calling for the last couple of weeks and still no battery. The company is telling me they have 30 other patients that are also waiting on batteries! I think it is time to go to Costco where a person can get affordable hearing aids along with complimentary hearing exams and decent customer service! My hearing aides are wonderful. They stay in for about a month, and then Dr. Heppler changes them for me. He's very capable and patient. Appointments are easily available. He helped my husband with several different types until he could hear well. It's nice to be able to sleep with them in and not have to take them out and charge them. You can't see them at all which is also a big plus! My husband and I were allowed to try them until we were satisfied. Everyone in the office is very nice also, and do what they can to work with the patients. read more

My father went in for a hearing test / exam as a new patient because he didn't like his VA hearing aids and he couldn't hear very well. Dr. Heppler gave my dad a hearing exam (in the sound booth) and then took him to an exam room, but didn't look inside his ears. He did want to sell him a new hearing aid and we were shown new ones. One week later I took my dad to a great local doctor who looked in his ears and found 2 tiny plastic pieces of hearing aid glued to his eardrum with wax!! It took him 45 minutes to clean out the wax and plastic glob stuck to my dads ear. As soon as the wax glob was removed my dad's balance was better and his hearing was better too. My dad bought hearing aids at cost co (they took pictures of his ear and did a thorough test for FREE before he bought anything). He won't go back to Dr. Heppler, although Heppler's office staff are very pretty, and they keep making appointments, and then rescheduling them (for the past 2 years) yikes . . . stay away from Heppler. read more

I have been having to use hearing aids for many of years to assist me with my hearing loss! I have used Miracle Ear's Hearing Aids for years and also Costco's Hearing Aids! Then I found Advanced Audiology Institute! Hands Down! This is the Best Place to be! The staff is very friendly! And the Audiologists here take very good care of their patients! I would leave 0 Stars if I could. I went there on 12/1/2023 had an exam and they were going to send all my hearing aid needs to my insurance company. I heard nothing so when I called in January I was told my insurance was pending. I called my insurance and then had to open an appeal with my insurance agency because they denied my claim due to the way their office billed it. I then called in February; March; April and SEVERAL TIMES in May to get status of my hearing aids. End of March my claim was approved and they paid the office for their billed services. Which included "being fitted and given my hearing aids" which was NOT TRUE. Today, after leaving messages for weeks again, I called and was told by Marni that the only person in the office who could help me is Heather and she is on vacation until next Tuesday. Has she been on vacation every time I leave messages? There is NOTHING GOOD about this office or it's staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!! read more

Very happy with my experience! I was having issues with my hearing and after a LONG time of procrastinating I finally made an appointment at the recommendation of a friend. Easy to deal with, friendly office staff- facility was super clean and they were following all health and safety protocols. hearing assistance is a life changing experience and expensive. Advanced Audiology is a joke and waste of your time and money. consumer reports lists 6 major things any audiologist should do when you make an appointment ... this place did one ... no options, pamphlets etc ... just my need for a hearing aid and one of the most expensive and annually re-occuring costing ones at that. when i questioned my lifestyle and whether this was appropriate they said absolutely, and when i pushed them on this issue they never got back to me as they promised they would do. ... so i went on the brand's site and it said i , in fact, was correct and these were not appropriate for my needs ... ... but it's the only one they talked about ... ... we were interrupted twice because the next appointment was waiting ... obviously more important than my knowledge or true needs ... stay away ... they don't care about you ... it's like a cattle car and ... you can thank me later ... what a waste of time, effort and money BEWARE !!!!! read more

I have been wearing hearing aids since the age of 3 (genetic nerve damage) and when I moved to Las Vegas ten years ago, I continued to get my audiological services done when I'd go back home once or twice a year. I am SO glad I recently found Dr. Smith - she is FANTASTIC. She is extremely knowledgable about the software that runs my hearing aids and equally important, she understands the unique challenges that come with being a hearing aid user. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Go to Desert Valley Audiology!! We took our infant son here for a hearing screening. We were told the exam would be of no charge to us and was covered by the insurance. Guess what? It's not, because we received a bill from them! The worst part was that, Kathleen was so rude and impatient with our son's exam. She refused to retest him because she could not get accurate results. She told us that he had fluid in one side and would need antibiotics possibly surgery. Wtf! How scary! Unsatisfied with her rude attitude, we got a second opinion at Desert Valley audiology. The staff was very kind and the Doctor had the patience to get more stable results from our son and said he had No fluid in his ears. We had to pay out of pocket for this exam when we could have used our benefits here instead of wasting our time. Kathleen was trying to calm our son down with some dirty toys they had in the office and didn't even have the ear piece in his ear half the time she was testing him but did not want to do the test again. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the importance of patient care, especially when dealing with pediatrics. Also, as we waited to be attended to, the receptionist was too busy scheduling her own medical appointments rather than having us fill out our paperwork first. I have been dealing with hearing loss since I was a child. to wear the old hearing aids was embarrassing as when people saw them they treated me differently, they would speak very slowly and horribly loud. when I got to my 20s I tried Miracle Ear devices it was discovered that I had a severe allergy to the plastics that were used. I would break out in these very painful welts. I made the decision to not wear hearing aids at all and probably missed a lot of what people said. I then heard about Audiologist Rhett Heppler. and the Lyric hearing aids which are not made of plastic and are invisible . I tried them and was amazed at all I could hear with them . Rhett Heppler has been awesome to me for over 10 years. I highly recommend Advanced Audiologist there is a huge difference when you have a licensed audiologist and you go to a hearing aid store whose job is to sell not examine the patients need. My wife experienced positional vertigo, and it was awful for her to deal with. Thank goodness for Dr. Heppler! After doing a simple maneuver, she was cured in just a couple days. I'm from Hawaii, went to an ENT, and it was the worst experience ever. They could'nt tell me what was causing my dizziness. I heard about this place in Vegas, fortunately i already had a vacay planned to be in Vegas, so i got an appointment. The place is very nice and clean, friendly staff and most of all the Doctor was wonderful. He explained everything he was doing and very easy to talk to. I finally got my answer to why i've been dizzy alot, through the high tech equipments that they used. Best of all was my discounted price that saved me lots money!! Thank you Doc!!! After having what was supposed to be a free exam, my insurance received a bill for $330.00 of which they discounted to $54. Which is what I am billed for. The exam lasted 15 to 20 minutes,with a lot of time spent trying to sell me an expensive hearing aid. I went to Costco and after a 90 min. exam was explained my options and also a chance to wear as a short trail. I would never recommend Advaned Audiology Institute, but would highly recommend COSTCO. read more

This is the best place for all hearing needs. I checked out Costco and another audiology place, and was not comfortable with the way I was treated and the products that I was offered. I finally found this institute four years ago. I was very impressed by Courtney, the Audiologist who helped me. She was very kind and caring. She took all the time to make sure she answered all my questions and doubts. She fit me with the best hearing aids for my specific needs. Dr. Heppler and Dr. Nguyen have taken the time and energy to insure a level of hearing I didn't think would ever again be possible.
