A couple months before I went on a trip to Seattle, I realized that my hearing was extremely bad. The audio in my car was at half and to me that was "quiet". Turns out I had an extreme case of "oh my goodness your ears are so plugged up that we're going to be spending the next ninety minutes digging you out". Turns out I have a weird shaped ear canal that naturally clogs too much and was basically bordering on a medical emergency. They got me in last minute, too, which I really appreciated. Anyway the person who dug it out did a great job. She was very patient, very nice, and careful and diligent. I forgot her name, but you'll probably see her when you visit. I left with my hearing not just restored, but to the point where I was hearing my voice when I talked. The volume in my car was at 1/8 and it was loud. I finally stopped struggling with my hearing. Have not had a chance to use this place, because I called early on a Friday to get in due to ear issues and vertigo that could be caused by ear blockage on one side. No one ever answers the phone there and they don't return calls. There's only 2 people that work there..Tami is the "office manager" which implies she manages the office...wouldn't that also include listening to voice mail messages and returning calls? Maybe Tami is picking & choosing which calls to return, what services would bring in the most money & return those calls only? Weird, because I'm an office manager at a doctors office and EVERY call gets returned. But apparently not every office does business that way. Update: it's been 5 days since i left a message and they still have not bothered calling me back. So much for HELPING U hear...that assumes they are concerned with helping. Years ago, when I first needed hearing evaluation and assistance, I was dissuaded from using a provider "with an office at WalMart." Instead, I went to a free standing audiology office miles away. I was fitted for hearing aids.. follow up appointments were limited. Hearing improvement was minimal. After a while, I no longer wore them. This year, I chose to use this provider. The hearing test was much more comprehensive than the last one. The hearing aid options were carefully explained. I chose the option I wanted, only slightly more expensive than what my insurance covered, and was given an appointment for the delivery. Today, the hearing aids were delivered at the office, programmed, and thoroughly checked and explained. I'm 77, and don't absorb new information easily. I can't believe the personal care and patience I received. It's only been a few hours, but I am amazed that I can hear better--incredibly better--than I have been able to do so in the past eight years. My other half is perhaps more thrilled than I am, LOL. From my experience to date, I can't imagine a better provider. read more

The staff are nice but nice isn't cutting for me. The ENT stated that I would get a demo while waiting additional months to get the additional testing she wanted done. I came here because my insurance recommended them. By the time, I can get the hearing aids I need, it will be 4-5 month process. So that you don't waste your time and get your hopes up thinking you're going to get some relief, ask a lot of questions first. So that you don't get left in limbo. read more

Making an appointment was easy but can be a while since they are usually backed up with a lot of other appointments the wait is definitely worth it. I've had my ears professionally cleaned by many doctors, audiologists, and clinics before. Some experiences were good, some were just OK.... but let me tell you about this place... it's AMAZING! They were very busy when I arrived, and couldn't find my appointment in their schedule for some reason, so I was fearing that I'd get the boot to come back another day (after I had driven 45 mins to get to them), and that my presence during a busy time was going to be an inconvenience to them. Not so. Their receptionist simply asked me to wait a few minutes, and she did so with a smile. Her name is Shari and she's a new grandmother, btw... (Congratulations, Shari!). Now, Sonya is amazing at cleaning ears! I was nervous - had a bad prior experience in another clinic that involved a "curette" tool, that ended up painful and bloody. I told Sonya this, and she said she'd try some different tools and techniques on me. I was able to watch the whole cleaning process on a screen! I didn't feel a thing - she was THAT gentle, and my ears were both the cleanest they've ever been before, after she was done! I called to schedule for a minor emergency, my right ear has been clog from my water activities at Lake Las Vegas. When I arrived, I just filled in a one page papaer work. When I was next, I met the Doctor and her assistant was also the front office secretary. I had been having issues with wax buildup in my ears and called to see if they could help me. They were so kind and were able to get me in the same day I called! Not only did they clean out my ears but they were very informative on what I can do in the future to help with my chronic build up. I was in and out of the office in less than 30 minutes. I suffered for years with a mild tinnitus in my right ear. I just lived with it thinking I had done permanent damage to my ear drum or worse. I had no idea that it could be caused by, among other more serious causes, a build up of wax on your ear drum. I had my ear wax cleaned and the tinnitus went away. My hearing was also fully restored in both ears. Heard voices in the back of Walmart which shocked me. They also allow you to watch the process with a tiny camera on the ear wax removal tool onto a TV. Was amazing! My ear had become waterlogged while swimming a few days ago, and after trying to few different recommended at home remedies (white vinegar and tea tree oil), I had made it worse. I called Helping U Hear and they were able to get me in the NEXT DAY for an ear wax removal appointment. It was affordable, the receptionist was very sweet, and the doctor made me feel very comfortable. I seriously came into a case of a clogged ear. It got so bad I could not sleep at night because of the pressure. I searched any places that could clean it out. Before I found "Helping U Hear". I went to another place close by work in Henderson. They seemed to know what they were doing and could alleviate the wax. But 20 minutes in and I was more clotted than ever and drenched from their tool they were using for the water treatment to clear it. So I left feeling like the only thing left to do is try a quick care. But before I was going to go I called a few places just in case I could be seen by another person to help treat me. After my fourth rejection saying no openings until next week I decided to give "Helping U Hear" a call. They were more conveniently by my house so as I was heading back towards my side of town I gave them a call. After explaining my situation on the phone they generously told me to stop by. I was so happy that they said yes and I could be seen today. When I went in the back she takes a camera and shows me the inside of my ear and the build up unlike the other place who didn't have that. Then she says she can do it and shows the machine that will get it out with. Unlike the other place "Helping U Hear" used proper machinery to assist in the water treatment. Sonya and her staff are fantastic. Sonya recently fit me with a pair of ReSound LINX Quattro aids and I love them. This is the fourth set of hearings aids I have had over many years and by far the best (technology keeps improving at warp speed). Some of my favorite features are that when I answer my iPhone the sound goes directly to the hearing aids crystally clear and I can even have music sent directly to the aids. I addition, the hearing aids have several features to eliminate irritating back-ground noise and features to enhance listening in different environments. If I could give more stars I would. My hearing loss is moderate, I had No idea how much I'd actually lost. We had to stop watching news, the CC was way behind and even with loud volume they spoke gumble. Could see birds, now I can hear them. My husband has the worst habit of making a comment while watching TV. Very frustrating!!! My first night with my "aids" we had on Maria Montoya (she speaks VERY soft and lowers her voice at the end of sentences) I could UNDERSTAND every word and the comments my husband made. WOW. This place is so amazing! If you haven't chosen a hearing center, choose this one! I have had 2 different hearing tests and was brushed off by the providers with, "Your hearing is pretty good." And "Oh, hearing aides will cost you at least $6,000," so off I went thinking that I would just have to live with my significant hearing troubles. However, when I walked into this place, the doctor and the lasy at the front desk were amazing and caring. I went in thinking that I would just check into hearing aides and maybe get on payment plan if needed but thought I would probably have to wait awhile since I couldnt pay $6,000 right away, bit this doctor fitted me and found out that I will only have to pay a $500 deductible and the insurance would cover the rest! All these years, struggling with my hearing, and little did I know that I wouldn't have to pay a lot and that I will be able to hear well very very soon. This doctor fitted me and within less than an hour, was able to order some hearing aides that I will pick up in just a week for $500! Wow, this makes my day! Even better, these hearing aides people can't even see unless they are really looking closely, and they will be adjusted perfectly to my specific hearing issues. I have never written a love letter to a commercial establishment before, but, this place deserves one. The first time I walked into the office I was greeted warmly by the smiling receptionist, Tami. This made me feel comfortable in what might have been an uncomfortable situation. Sonya, the owner and the Audiologist, is a rare combination of a Practitioner that is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, who also has the people skills to make an appointment enjoyable. On my first visit, Sonya did a thorough test of my hearing, and, because of her extensive experience in the industry, she was able to help me select the hearing aid that was best suited for me. On subsequent visits, she made all of the necessary adjustments to fine tune my hearing aids. When there was a minor problem with one of my hearing aids, Sonya was able to repair it in her office which avoided having to send it back to the manufacturer. Went in for an ear cleaning because I was feeling some itchiness. Called in right away without waiting a minute literally. Tried this place because it was affordable and had good reviews. Turned out my ears didn't really need a cleaning but the doc touched them up anyways And lined me out with some great info and solutions. The best part was how comfortable I felt being able to see exactly what she was doing to my ears with the live camera feed. I could see my eardrum for the first time which was kinda cool. Also in just minutes she did a hearing test full with results and showed me my exact hearing stats. How she put it was I had supersonic hearing haha. After all said and done I asked her what I owed and she said nothing! "I didn't have to clean your ears". She wouldn't even let me tip her or Denisse the incredibly nice lady at the front desk.
