I love this place! My brother sent me here because he has used them before and loved them. Now I see why. My insurance company gave me a hard time and they helped me fight them. They called for a rental to pick me up the day I dropped my car off. They are ALL so friendly and personable. Free detail with all work is an understatement. My head lamps where clowdy and they cleaned them, I had a tear in my driver seat and they fixed it, break dust stuck on my rims and they got it off and the car was sooo clean. I can't say enough great things about Advanced. They truly went above and beyond to help us with a lousy situation. I was rear-ended. Due to complications with transporting the car from NY to MA, we did not have collision coverage at the time of the accident. We claimed against the at-fault driver's insurance. Seemed ok until the adjuster visited the shop after they had disassembled the body panels to evaluate any body/frame damage. They immediately come back and say the vehicle is totaled. Mind you the decklid was pushed up a little and there was a dent in the bumper but otherwise the 2013 model year vehicle was in good shape. I was shocked to be honest. I suspect that between what they'd get at the Copart or IAAI auctions and the lowball offer they were putting together, they'd turn this loss into a positive. I decided to call Advanced and see what they thought and if I had any options before I talked to the insurance company. From that point forward, things started being better all due to the great work of Advanced. I spoke to Donald who offered to try to have the car untotaled. It took a few days but eventually the vehicle was untotaled and they were able to order parts and start repairs. My Fusion is like new as if that moron looking at his phone never hit me. They even vacuumed the car. When my girlfriend picked it up, they said we were family. I definitely feel they well above and beyond like family. I hope to never be in an accident again but if so, I'm bringing all my vehicles to Advanced. read more

Advanced Auto in East Boston is the only place I will ever bring my car to be repaired. My car was hit while parked a few weeks ago (not at fault therefore huge inconvenience immediately) even though my insurance (Plymouth Rock-horrible insurance) has been paid in full for the year since I've first became a customer with them. My insurance gave Advanced Automotive such a difficult time. My insurance gave me a headache from the beginning as I have a 7 passenger mini van (4 kids 2 of them still in car seats) and they gave me a rental of a compact car 5 passenger that could not even fit my daughters carriage. If I wanted a van like my own, I would have had to pay an additional $15/day while my car was getting fixed. Needless to say, I had to stick with the 5 passenger car due to not having that extra cash. I made the shop aware of this and they were very helpful in letting me know they will have my car to me as it was before the accident as soon as they could. Plymouth rock then made it difficult for Advanced to properly repair my van. My insurance company tried to offer me small amounts of cash to fix what they thought was not worth it, even though I pay for my insurance insurance 1, which covered the damage. Don called me and assured me that taking the small amount of cash would not get the damage fixed and the insurance company just did not want to pay for the repair as it was expensive and it is an older car. Any other company would not even contact me and I would have not known as a female mom not knowing much about cars, I would have accepted the cash knowing I could use it. I was told by Don that I do not have to accept their cash offer, although the insurance made it seem like I had no choice but to accept. They even told me that they could have the shop "try to clean up the glass" that was broken, and I could go and see if it's ok for me-which means I would have to leave to work to "look" at what should just be covered. Don made it clear that I should not have to do this and he is there to make sure the insurance companies do not do this to people. I appreciate the extra time that Don took to inform me of this and Advanced Automotive fixed my car. I could not tell it was in an accident at all. They even had took care of returning the rental for me, so I was able to just pick up my van which they knew was important to me having kids to pick up after work. This is exactly what we pay insurance for and I am grateful I found this shop. Thank you Don and the rest of the team. Keep doing what your doing and I truly appreciate what you did for me. A few months ago I purchased a used Mercedes in excellent condition. I live in the inner city of Boston and was horrified one morning to find my car had been side swiped during the night. I recently brought my car to Advanced Automotive in East Boston on the recommendation of two friends after I posted on Facebook looking for autobody recommendations. I can say with no hesitation that this was the best experience I have ever had dealing with car repairs. Ever. Don Smoot was fantastic to work with, very friendly, and most important to me- honest. He presented me with all my options up front, including pricing and timeline for each, and helped me select the one that was really the best for me. No pushy sales BS, he was always fair and to the point. When I brought my car in to have the work done, I found the rest of his team to be just as great to work with as he was, especially Lorraine at the front desk. I dropped my car off and hopped on the train to work, and I was barely settled into the office when they called to let me know my car was already finished.
