The roofer who previously "fixed" the roof claimed it was impossible to identify the source of the leaks and recommended a complete roof replacement. Andrew immediately dismissed that idea, explaining that in most cases, the source of a leak *can* be found and repaired without resorting to an expensive full replacement. He quickly sent out his foreman, Julio, to evaluate the issue. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with--we're so glad we called him!

I have an old roof from 1947 on the house that most companies won't touch. I found Mortenson after some extensive research and frustration with other companies' suggestions for leaks I was experiencing when I first purchased my home. After replacement of sections of roof and some of my copper gutters that failed, I no longer have problems and they've saved me from having to have the whole roof replaced, which would be exorbitantly expensive. They've done a great job and always very professional. Not always the quickest to get out due to them being so busy, but when I have an emergency, they are there within days of calling. I have them come and inspect my roof every year and have had them come out for emergency tile replacement. Everyone I have dealt with -- from their estimator Ken to the various people who have worked on my roof (Joe, Matt and Julio) to people in the office (Diana and Andrew) -- has been great. I am VERY picky on who I let touch my house and they are the only ones I'll trust to work on my roof and gutters.

Levi called me back within minutes. He ended up talking with me for a good 15-20 minutes explaining everything about his company and what they do, how they charge, and the whole nine yards. After that conversation, I was confident that I wanted to go with Levi. He sent me the proposal/estimate the following morning. I was so impressed with everything at that point, I signed & sent back the agreement form right away. Levi then called me later in the day and scheduled our roofing to be done in the next 2 days. That had to be cancelled the day of installation (due to rain) and it was immediately rescheduled for the day after. All in all, our roof is absolutely beautiful. Service was outstanding. The few times I called Levi's cell phone, he answered instantly greeting me by name. He really made me feel like he appreciated our business. In early May after the excessive rain we had, we found a leak in one of our rooms. I called several…read moreroofers who wouldn't or couldn't get to my home in a timely manner but SWS did. Pete was fantastic. He helped me file an insurance claim and everything was approved due his experience in the business. The roof was done within two weeks. However, we had an additional problem with our chimney box leaking and so I reached out and asked Pete if he could recommend someone to fix that problem as I fully trusted him and this was not part of the roof/ insurance, claim. Pete said he'd look into it. He eventually had some of his guys look at it and order parts to fix it. Now, I knew there'd be an additional cost but was never given any quote or dollar amount anytime we asked. Finally after about 6 wks, the box was repaired with a new cap and some siding to match it to my home because the wood was deteriorating, per Pete. Again, NEVER was given an additional price. Meanwhile I had dropped off a large portion of my final roof payment, holding the last quarter of balance until the work was fully completed. Pete also seemed to dissappear as we have not seen or heard from him since the actual roof was done. I was called by the woman who runs the office and only then did I find out the final cost of the additional work on the chimney box, which was nearly $1000 more(I could have had box removed for $400). Remember, we NEVER asked SWS to fix it, only recommend someone. Anyway, the painter finally fixed the inside damage and everything looks great after 2 Mos n 8 days. I would recommend SWS for the roofing work. We were extremely, EXTREMELY happy with that process. UPDATE: SWS MADE MY CHIMNEY ISSUE RIGHT. THEY ARE A STAND UP COMPANY.

I was quickly…read moreimpressed with Pete Galgano's attentiveness to the project, particularly in stark comparison to the 2-3 other proposals I solicited from other vendors. Some never responded with a proposal while others had a proposal in my hand within 10 minutes, which felt too much like a hard sell. SSSR's proposal was in my hand within 48 hours as promised and was right in line with all the other bids. Most important, Pete guided me through the insurance claim for hail damage that otherwise I wouldn't have pursued since the other vendors made no mention of the potential for a claim. SSSR also took care of every step of the frustrating permit process. Also, Pete was very helpful in guiding us through color selections without being overbearing. After several weather-related delays, the project started in late fall with the roof replacement. That phase of the project went quickly, with no problems encountered. The roof looks great, the satellite dish was re-installed correctly and a couple of rain diverters were placed upon request. November was an absolutely miserable month of weather, so the rest of the project didn't start until we got well into December. Once that commenced, no problems were encountered. The siding looks outstanding, and we've now got a clean new look to the exterior of the house with all the trim replaced. I can recommend SSSR without hesitation.
