My experience started with there chat line this Sunday. Explaining I needed mobile home service do to my aftermarket alarm system stopped working at a Home depot. Paid to have truck towed home. Jeffery on there chat line seemed to indicate they could help me and obviously would pay the difference for mobile repair. I was supposed to get a call back and never received and called today and started to explain to guy who picked up the phone... put me on hold mid sentence and was transferred to I believe her name was Alice. Said they never got my chat information from Jeff.. unbelievable I had several chats. Then to find out they don't offer mobile at this time it's seasonal!!!? Absolutely great customer service! We had so many problems with our system because of the previous owner of my vehicle but they fixed everything for us. It was such a relief having someone who knows exactly what they're doing fix my system. Shantall helped us so much and she was very good to us, she was very understanding and professional. I was visiting my friend in Murrieta over a weekend from the east coast. I borrowed a car from my friend to visit another friend. On Sunday afternoon I was flying back but before few hrs before my flight, I heard a big noise coming from my car. I could not figured it out but notice some plastic piece and some metal piece were bent at the bottom of the car. So I decided to take the car to an auto shop to fix it. Unfortunately, all the mechanic shops were closed due to Sunday. While I was driving, I show Advanced Car Stereo was opened so I told them about my situation and asked them If they can fix my car so I can return it to my friend and then I can fly back that day. The gentleman was very helpful and he checked my car and said 'the flash guard cover was completely damaged and it's not repairable, it needs to be replaced'. I asked him if I buy it from an auto shop, can you put it for me. He said yes I would do it for you. ( actually they do car stereo but he wanted to help me in that situation). When I asked him how much he would charge me, then he said I would not charge you much. But unfortunately, I could not get the splash guard form the auto shop because the car was a newer model and after market parts were not available at the auto shops. It was only available at the dealership. I tried to call nearby dealership but most of them did not have that particular part. So I drove couple of hours to get the part and by the time I get back it was evening. So I replaced it at the dealership. But I was very impressed by Advanced Car Stereo for going extra mile for me to fix my problem. May God Bless them. read more

I've had the folks at Advanced car stereo take car multiple vehicles for me over the past couple years. Even when I pull up expecting the worst they find a way to make the best of the situation. Shantall hooked my van up the first time I came to visit. Don't under estimate her, she knows her stuff! She set me up with their in-house 10inch sub and amp combo. Not only knowledgeable, she also didn't try to up sell me. She got my quality sound within my budget, and didn't simply steer my towards brands and cool colors. The next time a came in Al helped me. He got my Lexus set up with a 12inch Kicker Comp so quick I barely made it back to work before he was calling to let me know my vehicle was ready. Came in here to buy a complete stereo system for my truck . One guy at a register, than gets up and walks away. Than another guy comes from the back of the shop and asks if we need help. We say yes. Mind you this is after 15 mins of standing around. Than we tell him what we are looking for. He than starts playing on his phone and says I'll have to get you another salesman. About the only thing I can say about this business, is that my stereo's work mostly. With my Bluetooth because of the the backup camera in both cars when I'm on the phone it cuts my calls when putting car in reverse. And they in one of my cars they broke my cruise control and never repaired it. read more

PRICE MATCH GUARENTEE... NOT! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I had been shopping for an entire car system for quite some time. I had my eyes set on the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX reciever & advanced car stereo had it listed at $699. At Bestbuy it was going for $599. I asked if they will price match Bestbuy and believe it or not they said they don't price match Bestbuy. I asked who they price match and they told me crutchfield. I got on my phone, checked price and bam crutchfield was at $499. Well they then denied the price match, I then asked for a manager and he said he would do $599. I then inquired about me buying it from crutchfield and then doing the install. Now all of a sudden my labor rates more than doubled, if not tripled for my whole system installation. The manager even have my quite the attitude. Front desk was friendly but that's not going to save this business. & Oh ya I have done a whole system with them back in 2008. No star if I could!!! This place is absolutely horrible!!! Years ago I got an install done and the owner is a real jerk!!! I would never do buisness with these people again!!! They will take advantage of you if you aren't knowledgeable about the products!!! Be careful in what they sell you, they will upsell you things you do not need or that do not work with your spacing! In my case I bought a box amp and 2 subs a few years back. My truck is very small and I had concerns with how the sound quality would be considering my spacing was so limited! The owner assured me that 2 10inch shallow mount kickers would sound good so I went ahead with it. When I picked it up, I recall I brought it home and it quit working anyway so I had to bring it back and I remember I was very disappointed in the sound because I have owned 10inch woofers in the past so I had a good idea of what to expect in terms of sound and these sounded like absolutely garbage. After I did some further research I found that the airspace was not even close to enough to accommodate these subs! When I brought it back I explained my dissatisfaction to the owner and I asked him to take one sub out and downsize the amp and put a box for only 1 ten in so it would be accurate for the air space required. The owner said no all sales final because he upsold me and he would of had to refund me some money. This owner is basically a criminal in my opinion either that or they have no knowledge themselves of how to properly size a car stereo subwoofer to the box. My issue was that I basically had 800 watts of power to 2 10 inch woofers and I didn't have any bass and it sounded like crap!!! I gave the owner the opportunity to correct the mistake and he rudly denied me. I see they have multiple locations and I can say with confidence they did not build that buisness off of integrity and honesty they built off of the lack of consumer knowledge in products and taking advantage of people.... its been about 3 years since all this happened I ended up taking the subs and putting them in a big ass box that took up my whole back seat in order to get them to work to their potential and meet the airspace requirements! I gave these subs away so I could get my back seat back!!!! GAVE THEM AWAY FOR FREE...!! I installed 2 8in woofers the same exact woofer but an 8 instead of a 10 considerably lower in price and guess what they make more bass than the set up he screwed me around on just so he could rape me for a few more bucks... I had a lot of buisness I needed done to my truck and he could of had it all if he would have done right by me but nope... now he lost my buisness for eternity and anyone I know looking to get anything done i will be sure to let them know what happened to me!!!! I have spent thousands putting in component speakers and new rims tires and amps I spent 1500 on a new deck... he could have made all that money but his dishonesty and greed got the better of him... I just want people to know its best to be patient research the product and if you aren't sure get a 2nd or 3rd opinion because you may be getting taken advantage of. They are such an honest establishment! The mercedes dealership had no problem with me dropping 4K on new speakers. I take it to Advanced Car Stereo and they kindly show me that Nothing is wrong with the speakers and that they are high quality / in perfect cond. The gentleman stated he could not in good faith replace perfectly good speakers. This is my daughters car and she was distorting the sound by blasting the base. Where do I start?? This place has shitty customer service, bad attitudes and cares nothing about customers and only your money that you bring them. They tell you to make an appt and why the FUCK for?? When you arrive for your appt they not only have their installers from wrong turn show up at 1030 when they open at 9 but they take people who don't have appts in front of you because it doesn't go by appt it goes by how much money you bring in. For example if u made an appt at 9 but ur sale is worth less than the walk in then the walk in will be taken in first. I saw this first hand because I watched my car sit there while a walk-in got ahead of me. This place is BULLSHIT just like his location in MORENO VALLEY. Same name same SHITTY service. They rather give u a refund and lose a customer then resolve a problem. The employee they fired was doing his job but who wants to pick up after sloppy installers. Worst Service Ever! I went to advanced audio on a Wednesday thinking that they probably won't be as busy and I would get buy what I want and get it installed fairly quickly. I go in and there was no one on the show room floor to assist me, just one other customer waiting for his stereo to be installed. After 2 minutes a person comes out from the installation area and tells me that someone will be right with me. Over the last 6 months i have called ahead of time to verify product availability in the store, first time was for a JL 10tw3-4, second time was for Fused Distribution Block, Third time was for silicon 0 awg wire. On the fly, I decided I wanted an alarm system in my car. Stopped by here on a Sunday and talked to the guys. With no hesitation, they fully explained all details of each alarm system. Because of their professional manner, I decided to have them replace my power antenna, and install a new Pioneer head unit. Price was MORE than fair, and I was given a time of 3 hours. I called , exactly 3 hours later and my car was done. Larry came out and went over all the operation controls for the radio ie. the clock, and different setting. Work was done clean, and nothing was out of place. I am giving 5 stars simply because they earned it. I will be going back for speakers and an amp soon. I have installed head units, speakers and amps for more than 20 years. these guys killed it. Oh, and BTW I have read all the negative reviews.... maybe people shouldn't walk around with such bad attitudes all the time.... you get what you give. Every single person there was cool as hell, I even got a ride back to work while they did my install. This place is horrid. Avoid at all costs.I had a remote start installed and unless you like being treated horribly. Stay away! At least until they replace their completely unprofessional and confrontational manager. Any business manager that points at a customer and tells them (just short of yelling) "One way or another I will get my $100" is going to have a hard time keeping a loyal and satisfied customer base. It was already agreed upon over the phone that I was going to pay that additional $100.00, for the labor associated with my "special" install methods. I paid it solely because my dash was opened up they had it from the day prior, and they were 'conveniently' only 30 minutes from completion if I paid that additional amount. I just wanted him to understand the issue with accepting a job at an agreed upon price and then adding charges after the work begins. It appears shady and unethical. Especially when you are incapable of speaking to a customer as a customer and not an enemy. He was very obnoxious and single-minded. Needless to say customer service is non-existent in this establishment. Expect to call them for updates and for them to tell you call them back later (twice). It was a poor experience and will never be repeated. On a different note, the install was complete and everything functions as intended, the installer, was capable of explaining the problem and the solution he provided on the install intelligently and without a yelling and arrogant attitude. At which I was much more responsive and understanding and less worried about the additional $100 labor charge. The owner of this establishment should rid themselves of this 'manager' if they intend to maintain a solid base of happy and reoccurring customers. I intend to share my poor experience via every social media outlet I use and warn all personal and friendly relationships about this place. Finally, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB next. The manager was given an opportunity to make this right, or at the very least intelligently and professionally explain the issue to me and the additional cost. He made it awkward, argumentative, and attempted to intimidate his customer. The fact that businesses like these are still around is appalling and this has to be shared to hopefully save at least one other person the disappointment of trusting this place with their vehicle and money. read more

These guys are totally out to take you for as much money as possible. First i saw on their site they were selling a stereo for $524.00 and this stereo goes for $539 to $649 elsewhere. I knew that but when I saw them listing it for $524.00 I was like "hell yeah!" So I went in and talked to one of the installers. He seemed like a nice enough guy and seemed to know what he was doing. Told me he could get the head unit I wanted installed pretty quick. I asked about the bypass for navi and he said yeah we can do that for $50 because I would have to buy an adapter. So I go inside and tell the girl which stereo I want after the tech told her what I would be having installed including the bypass module. She then proceeds to write me up for over $1100. I saw they were going to charge me $749 for the head unit, so I pointed out their website had it listed for $524.00. She proceeds to surf the web showing me how everyone is selling it for $649- $749 (which I knew) including ebay prices and then asked me why they would sell it for $524? I stated because you have that price listed on your website. She didn't even know how to get to their website. I had to pull it up on my phone to show her. She eventually calls her manager who agrees to sell me the unit for $524.00 but only if they do the install. That is when I got the big shocker. They wanted $150 to install a head unit!!! and the $50 bypass mod was now $69. I tried to buy just the head unit but she refused. No way was I going to pay $150 for them to put a stereo in my car. Even after the agreed price of $524 for the hu, the total bill would then be $866 (which included the hu, install fee, bypass mod, harness and 3 sets of interconnect cables at $45 for three. This shop has got to be the biggest rip off around. They use their website to hook you and get you in the shop (because you can't buy on their site) and then try to charge you a different amount and THEN give you crazy install fees. I then went to another shop (local to me in Riverside). They had the very same stereo as the rip off shop and I asked them if I brought in my speakers and amp then bought their stereo how much would it all cost me to install? He said $700 out the door. WHOA now that is awesome. I paid $650 for the stereo, and they installed the stereo and the equipment I brought with me: component speakers in the front doors, amp in my trunk, fuse block, crossovers, did all the wiring and it cost me $700 even. I mean they installed a whole system in my car for $700! Advanced Car Stereo were going to charge me $866 for the headunit, the headunit install and some rca cables alone! No speakers, no wiring, no amp!!) Just the damn headunit. Oh and get this...the shop up in Riverside said if I need the bypass it would be $20 but in the end they said the bypass wasn't needed. That I could do the bypass through the headunit settings and it worked! Those guys could have charged me an extra $20 but chose to be honest with me and ultimately earned a customer for life. DON'T waste your hard earned money at Advanced Car Stereo. They will rob you blind. read more

False advertisement. Ad stated $80 for speakers and radio (manager's special). The same ad also states free installation. My daughter went in to get a basic radio and speakers and was quoted $300. The salesman stated that the manager's special was good on Sunday, but we received the ad in the mail on tuesday 8/9. When she proceeded to walk out, the salesman asked her how much she wanted to pay and then offered her $50 off when she did not take the bait. If an 18 year old girl can figure out that this place has sales reps that are dishonest, obviously they are scammers and suffering for business. My advice is to not go to Audio Evolutions.
