I brought my RV in on Sunday July 3rd to have new stereos and a CB Radio installed. The installation was done great and to my satisfaction. The prices were very good and clearly marked near the cashier. They also give a military discount. I had no problem with any of the staff or sales rep. My issue with Advanced Car Stereo was the condition that my RV was left in after the work was completed. I removed two garbage bags of boxes, old equipment, wiring, screws, etc... none of the areas that was worked on was cleaned or wiped down. I was very disappointed that the professionalism was carried throughout the completion of the job after the services was paid for. Came in to just get some a RCA cable to install a Bass knob on my system I self installed. They gave me a quote to do it for me, and it was a steal I couldn't refuse. Also they found faulty cables from the kit I bought and replaced it for me. I got great customer service from Shantill and the owner from the beginning til I left. While they were installing it i found it in stock at Amazon , Walmart and Target for hundreds of dollars less. They lied to me and then blocked me after stealing my information. I entered an online chat service on the website. The chat representative, Gary, mentioned that this company offers free quotes and a service that can connect me to the shop via phone. After giving out my phone number and email address, I was then called by a robo service that connected me to the shop. Someone answered and had no idea why I was calling, no record of my previous chat with the online agent. What is the point of the phone connect service if I just have to re-explain explain I already asked the online chat rep? This is no different than if I had just called the shop directly on my own. The chat service is literally help. nWhat a waste of time. Then, the person on the phone told me it costs $75 to get a diagnostic check. Um I'm sorry, where was the free quote I was promised? Then when I returned to the online chat agent to tell him that I was misled and lied to, he just said sorry and ended the chat. I refreshed the page and entered the chat again to ask why the previous chat was closed on me without giving me an answer as to why I was lied to. I was given a non-English answer then the chat was closed again. This is incredibly inappropriate and very shady. I am reporting this activity to the BBB and creating a complaint with Consumer Affairs. I am just trying to get my sound system replaced! Why is this so hard? Sloppy work, expensive, and buzzing . Never again. I've done 2 cars here and the experience was the same. Installation took much longer than they quoted and I got the car back in a mess. Cabling bits and connectors everywhere. Panels that were not installed back in at all. And just no quality control. Car was a mess. Then we take the car home and it's buzzing. They did not even bother to test it all and make sure there was no buzzing. Trim for the radio also was not holding correctly and would easily pop off. So we take it back and they get it fixed that same day BUT there is an additional cost. Mind you I had just paid $850 for installation. I understand cover parts costs, car needed a filter for the buzz. But to charge extra labor when they screwed up and did not do the install right the first time is total BS. Horrible customer service. Now mind you, this is the 2nd car I've done here. I'm a returning customer that has spent a few thousand here. But that did not matter. Never again! Avoid these guys. The lack of professionalism is insane. The pictures speak volumes but the back story is worse. Had these guys attempt to install a sub and amp in my 2021 Camry. These new car stereos are complicated but they assured me they've done a bunch of them before with success. The result was overpowering bass at low volumes, then as I turn the stereo volume up, the bass stays the same volume and gets buried by speaker volume. Needless to say I brought it back. They said I needed more equipment. So I spent more money to have an LC2i installed per their recommendation. Same exact result. I did some research and found that it's best to hook the sub up to the front door speakers in these JBL Toyota systems because the bass stays linear and true across the volume range. I came back to spend more money to have them rewire it and the pictures show their work. The sub was cutting in and out, so I pulled down the rear seats to look at the amp and the thing was shooting sparks out of the ground input. The other connections look like $h!t as well. Screws are stripped on the amp, such amateur BS it's unbelievable. I brought it back early afternoon and the guy at the front said I'd have to come back at some other time because he was tired of staying late for customers like he has the last three nights. It took everything short of a scene to just get the last $75 I spent there for the rewire refunded, which they finally did, but I'm still out $1000 for a useless bunch of parts and labor. read more

I'd give Advanced Car Stereo a 10 if I could. Al, Sam, Larry all did a great job working with me and fixing my issue. My F150 has an Alpine INE-W957HD head unit installed, which is great. What sucked was the dash kit installed along with the radio (Scosche), the touch screens failed on two different units. I was over it and wanted to try something different. I did some research and decided to give Metra a try. Went to Advanced and had one installed. Unfortunately, the HVAC controls did not work! We even tried a second unit thinking the first was defective. Al then recommended that I go with a Maestro kit, which uses the original Ford dash and HVAC/radio controls. Of course, I did not have one because the original vehicle owner did not provide it to me. This required me to find out what kind of console was originally installed by Ford in my truck. Al shared enough info with me that I was able to go to Ford and find out the original part number, which I then used to purchase a used one on the web. With that, the guys did an outstanding job putting things back together and now everything works!!! I could not have done this on my own. Advanced car Stereo will not back up warranty work for repairs. Had vehicle towed to there shop as car alarm would not deactivate and not start. After reprograming alarm & charging me for a blown main fuse?...Asked for the bad fuse, but was told it was thrown out. It worked for a week. I called several time them for them to repair again and the owner told me to tow it to them again. I was not willing to pay for another tow, as there service technician said he was willing to make a service call as I was 10 mins. away. Three times the price of other companies. Their work was bar none, they broke my glovebox and added unnecessary wires. I got estimates at other auto places because I thought the price seemed high especially with the poor quality of work. I was charged $987 three other auto shops quoted me $300 and were shocked by the price I paid. Came here to fix my blown speakers on my Bmw. When the guy came out to quote me and check out my problem, he said I only needed to replace my front door speakers. I told him all my speakers are blown and have no bass and he said I just needed to fix my front two speakers. So I listened and the front two speakers were replaced. 350$ later I have two new front speakers that were "the most advanced speakers for my car" didn't make a difference, still sounded like shit, were installed half ass, and when installing the ridges that hold the speaker down were snapped but they just put it back on. I found that out cause it flew off when I closed my door. Wasted my money, time, broke my speaker panel and didn't fix my speaker problems. read more

I moved to murrieta from escondido where I had all my cars audio done with NEVER any issues. Took my truck here to "enhance " my already great system. $1,200.00 dollars later I ended up with a floating amp not screwed down which probably helped the wires attached basically pull out making a fire hazard. Rear speakers making this chalkboard crackling sound. Went back and they replaced the rear speakers with "better" ones and turned down all my amps. Still sounded horrible. Went back to escondido to my tried and true place...should've never cheated on them... they knew right away this was not right and fixed the bad grounds, wire route and secured the amp. Sounds AMAZING!! $400.00 bucks to fix but worth it. Thank you "Audio Sport". I guess you learn the hard way. Would not recommend this place. Ever. read more

I had an expensive stereo system installed by a different company. Unfortunately, it had two issues. After numerous attempts to resolve them, I decided to bite the bullet and pay someone else to diagnose the problem and fix it (since I was going on a trip the next day.) I did a google search, selected and called Advanced, and was told I could bring it right in. The manager was knowledgeable and attentive to my situation. Soon, my stereo was finally working properly. If I could give less than one star I would Purchased a new stereo for my Rv Due to the fact my back up camera was not working Dropped off the Rv for installation on A Sunday I got a call in about 3 hours after they started the install the blonde that works there informed me the camera or the cable where bad She told me they have the camera in there corona store(no such store) And they can have here the next day Monday That didn't happen I got some BS story that she never told me that The stereo flat screen was sticking out Way to far I asked her about it She spoke with the installer And he said that's as far as it goes in Needless to say I took the Rv to another shop And they had to clean up the horrible install behind the dash and re adjust The screen which went further back The way it should be got a camera installed I would not recommend this place They are very unprofessional I take blame cause I didn't do my research Folks do your research This place sucks read more
