I have been attempting to call the various offices listed for Dr. Norris Morrison who cut the toenails of my mother-in-law. No one ever answers, ever. There is no ability to leave a V/M message at the listed offices in which no one ever answers, and the emailed bill has no information nor amount, does not have an access code to pay the bill, which only comes via a paper bill, that we have never received, so no ability to access the billing portal, and, the billing company also has no live contact, with a recorded message to contact the Doctor with any billing questions. This has been ongoing for MONTHS. Responding to the email sent, gets an automated return response stating that the email is not monitored, and not to respond to the email by answering, but no warning prior to sending the email is noted. Apparently this has been ongoing for some time now with multiple similar other patients. read more

Won't be going here...ever. I called asking for a same day (if any cancellations) or next few days appt because my big toe was inflamed and painful and I am unable to wear shoes. I was told the next available appt in Corona was in May! Or I could go to Ontario next week. Seriously?! I'm supposed to endure this pain and not work?!! I'm going to a place that cares somewhat to even put me on a cancellation list. They seemed more concerned if I had insurance which I do. read more

Dr. Nguyen was so helpful in resolving my foot issue. After both primary care and Dermotologist froze a spot on my foot multiple times with no effect other than pain and blistering my foot because they thought the spot was a wart. Dr. Nguyen was able to quickly diagnose it as a clogged sweat gland, shave it down flat (which did not hurt at all shockingly), and prescribed me some medication to continue treating the spot. I went from feeling like walking with a pebble in my shoe with every step for months and months to pain free after Dr. Nguyen's care. This place is terrible. I went in for a simple cortisone shot, which by the way should be done in the top of the foot and not the bottom because it could cause damage. My toe became deformed. I got a second opinion. Turns out they tore my plantar plate and now I need surgery to correct. read more

I have been very pleased with the care my mother has received at Advanced care Foot & Ankle. Dr. Paul Nguyen is kind, caring and listens to his patients. I took my mother here for a "corn" that wasn't going away and which was causing her a great deal of discomfort. Dr. Nguyen diagnosed it as a wort and shaved off a few layers of dead skin, and prescribed a topical cream. After a few visits and a switch to a stronger topical medication the wort finally disappeared. The office staff is friendly and welcoming, and took care of billing my mother's insurance. Now I just take her in for nail trims every 2 months, also covered by insurance, and she is very happy. read more

This office I'll never return to. I had an appointment with them just about one year ago. The dr. told me I need to have an ultrasound before he could continue with a procedure on my foot, I never heard anything else from them. So, I called my insurance and they have no record of them contacting them. A week ago I returned to this office and talked to the gentleman at the desk and said the dr. will talk after he's done with his patient's. So, after I wait a half hr. the gentleman tells me he won't have time to see me, but will resubmit to the insurance company and should have an answer within 48 hrs. It's now been a week. read more

Excellent, so pleased with Dr. Morrison and staff. Due to me being Diabetic, he treated my engrown big toe nail with such care, very explanatory. Did all my nail clipping on my toes. Dr. Morrison also explained what type of shoes I should wear. Diffintly I be be back every 9 weeks to be cared by Dr. Morrison. My toes belong to him for care 100% recommended! My visit was fine but billing has been a nightmare. They billed my insurance incorrectly and after reaching out via phone and patient portal multiple times, I haven't been able to get ahold of someone able to address the issue. I keep receiving the same bill which says insurance didn't cover because they didn't bill correctly. Very frustrating experience. read more

Went in for a simple visit to a San Diego office. That was fine. However, I have been trying to pay the bill for the past 3 months. It's taken WAY too much of my time. The online portal leads me to a page that says call this number (number to doctor's office) to pay the bill. I've been calling in about 2 - 3 times a week (much less frequently now, as I've given up hope). EVERY time, they put me on hold immediately and it usually disconnects within 5 minutes. Call right back, same exact thing. I've tried yelling, begging etc... but no matter, the person immediately puts me onto hold, then disconnect. They've wasted so much of my time. I'd go there to pay the bill in person , but I'm afraid that they won't be there. I also don't want to waste any more of my time on this. But I also don't want the bill to go to collections. What kinds of doctor's office refuses to talk to patients on the phone ?! read more

THE OFFICE MANAGER IS THE WORST AND IS LAZY. I went to this Dr last year for inserts. They charged me $400 and I billed that to my FSA card. I've been trying for 2 months to get a valid receipt and now my FSA card is suspended and I cannot use it for other medical purposes... during a PANDEMIC. I called the office to get a receipt and the girl who answered told me that the office manager did not want to be bothered and wanted to use COVID as an excuse to "feel like she is on vacation". I'm literally ONLY asking for a receipt for a service you had me pay for... how difficult is that? Is this a joke? read more

Dr. Morrison left a bad impression when he changed his happy tone to being irritated at my son because he was scared of having work done on his ingrown toe nails. We told him we'd like a minute to discuss, instead he ignored our request and sent in a tech with huge needles ready to work on my son. When I told him we were going to wait, he became very irritated. I called him a few days later to discuss what happened without my son being present but he never called me back. This is supposed to be a pediatric podiatrist. I think not. read more

I had to switch my medical care one month after an amputation. I was referred to this Doctor. The first thing I was told by Dr Morris was "You are not going to loose any more of your foot." From that point on I received the best care that I never received from Kaiser. And as he promised four months after the operation at Kaiser, I received the best news, I am completely healed! This Doctor and office staff made sure I was taken well care of. He referred to other specialist that I needed and I have been released upon completion of full treatment by all. This practice was great when Dr Katz was there. Since his retirement it's gone downhill. There are strange things going on there pertaining to Medicare and insurance billing. I have no proof, just strong suspicions. I was told I had MRSA on my toe, and it would kill me. All before any kind of test. All very strange. It was absolutely nothing. Saw Dr. Morrison today May 28, 2019 I was a longtime patient of Dr. Katz. Dr. Morrison has taken over the practice. I found Dr. Morrison to be an outstanding, professional and caring doctor. Wonderful personality along with plenty of expertise to go along with it. Really took the time to chat about some of my issues and made sure that when we were completed with the visit, all of my needs were satisfied plus additional testing was requested by Dr. Morrison, Which included lab test and foot x-ray. Dr. Katz and his staff are wonderful. I have been seeing Dr. Katz for about 9 months trying to relieve my plantar faciitis pain. He tried custom orthotics and cortisone injections. I also purchased the shoes which he recommended. I did get some relief but not enough to return to my regular exercise routine. So, I decided to go ahead with the recommended surgery which he did last week. The surgery went extremely well and so far no pain! I highly recommend this practice. This Podiatry Clinic is highly recommended!! Been to other doctor's clinic and this is so far the best. Getting appointment is super easy, the receptionist is very pleasant and accomodating. Checking in is a breeze and being seen by the podiatry doctor is awesome! I am so glad my son had Dr. Paul Nguyen see him. This doctor is super amazing! My son was hesitant and anxious just with the thought of seeing a doctor but Dr. Nguyen made his first visit very pleasant and super "cool" as my son described that my son was even looking forward for his future visits with him! Dr. Nguyen is very knowledgeable in his craft, patient, great with pediatric patients. He knows exactly how to deal with them and how to explain things in their level while making it sound not boring that's why my son dubbed him as a "Super Cool Doctor". Had a quick visit here awhile back for my daughters' ingrown toenail. I can't remember the gentleman we met with, but he was great. He eased my daughters troubled mind and prescribed antibiotics for her very infected and ugly ingrown toenail. Following his instructions it went away and we were very happy. She, unfortunately stubbed her toe and it has irritated it and returned, but since we moved, we have found one closer to our new home.
