They have changed…read morenames and location, now residing in the Sandlake Commons area right next to Dr. Phillips hospital. I have been going to Nova, now New Image, for a few years to see my girl, Beth. She is a master with a syringe. All these years, I've been getting botox in my forehead and occasionally around the eyes and her technique is one of the best I've experienced. (I've tried other locations in Orlando and NYC, and Beth is one of the best.) Looking at time "marching all over my face", I thought it was time to try a filler for my smile lines. So, today, 7/11/17, was the day to try it out. I went into the office thinking I wanted Juvederm but was told the Juvederm Voluma would work better for what I wanted to accomplish. Since I know Beth's work, I knew she wouldn't steer me wrong ... and she didn't. I was surprised at the difference a few injections within a few minutes could make. It exceeded my expectations and I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror. Who's that young lady in the reflection? Its me! Its meeeeeeeee! The front desk staff are also wonderful and very friendly. So, here's a shout out to Jonathan and Joy who make you feel welcome on the phone and as soon as you walk in the office! I think some people can be intimidated or embarrassed by cosmetic procedures but they make you feel right at home and put folks at ease. Goodness knows, you are there to improve yourself and it can be a fun experience ... ain't no shame staying in da game!

I chose Sand Lake Dermatology Center after a negative experience with another clinic. The reviews…read moreare great so I felt like this would be a good choice and so far after two appointments, I really like this clinic and Dr Mailer. Before coming to Sand Lake Dermatology I had a biopsy at another clinic and was scheduled to have a carcinoma removed. I was unable to have this done at the other clinic so I booked the first appt available with Sand Lake Dermatology which was set for the end of July. Once I was able to get my records sent to the clinics, a staff member called me right away and moved my appointment to have a carcinoma removed from my face to last week. Because of the interactions I had over the phone and online with this clinic, I felt comfortable having this clinic remove the carcinoma even though I had not even seen the clinic nor doctor. While I was mildly aware of what the procedure entailed, the staff that prepared me answering questions and numbing me(Marisol and Aaron) were great and made me feel comfortable. Dr Mailer was just as nice and made me feel comfortable. I was of course aware of the dr performing the procedure, I couldn't see it and didn't feel it. The procedure is called Moh's procedure where they typically cut away the determined margin around the affected area, bandage you up and let the patient wait in the lobby while the removed specimen is being reviewed in the onsite lab. If the lab determines that not enough was removed to show clear margins, the patient is brought back in and the dr removes more repeating the process until margins are clear. In my case, the dr removed all that needed to be removed leaving clear margins so after the lab results returned after a couple of hours, I was brought back into the procedure room and the dr proceeded to stitch up my wound applying dissolving stitched under the skin and removable stitches outside. My appointment for follow up and outer stitches removal was set for one week later( this past Tuesday). I was prescribed a heavy antibiotic and advised to keep Vaseline on the stitched up area and keep it covered with a bandage that is changed daily. Once I was stitched up, I mentioned a growth I have noticed on my eyelid and the dr suggested that on my follow up appointment she would take a biopsy. So this past Tuesday I had stitches removed, the area where I had stitches seems to be healing well and it doesn't appear that there will be a heavy scar. I am happy to see this as the area that was removed was quite large and the area stitched was quite long. The nurse, Natalie numbed my face, the stitches were removed and I didn't feel anything. They also numbed my eyelid so the biopsy could be taken. This is a sensitive area so this was a bit more intense but it went quickly and the biopsy was done. I will likely have results next week. What could have been a high anxiety first procedures (I've never had any surgery or stitches) turned out to be a pretty smooth experience. I recommend consideration of Sand Lake Dermatology as the staff and Dr Mailer were great, the waiting room is comfortable and even the staff that manages scheduling, check in, check out, nurses, physicians assistants all made me feel important, individual and taken care of. I wish all medical experiences could be similar to what I experienced.

When I went for my first appointment they said they were able to take out my cyst and I made an appointment the following day. The staff and doctors are all very knowledgeable and very kind and nice. We were greeted by an extremely interesting and talented young man. Ivan! He hade us feel warm and welcome and offered a broad assortment of refreshments. I asked him many questions about the work provided at this office. A scrolling screen of before and afters also helped. I work at an adult club with a lot of good and bad work in front of me daily. My friend was highly recommended and is looking forward to her procedure very soon. Ivan started and ended the day at this visit. Thanks Ivan, and Vado. Looking forward to see the final work!

The day I of my surgery I was ready to cancel but when he came in the room to talk to me I immediately felt at ease And that's when I knew I was in good hands. My recovery was super smooth. I had no drains the lymphatic massages helped drain me. I was pretty much in no pain Throughout my entire recover. 4 days after my surgery I had completly stopped taking any pain meds because I wasn't in any pain. Dr. Harun did an amazing job really all his work is beautifu. I highly recommend him if you're thinking about getting lipo or fat transfer he's worth the price. The only thing I didn't like was the nurses or the ladies that work at the office because in my opinion they don't know what they're talking about. I feel like if you've never had this surgery you shouldn't give advice on how to take care of yourself after. They steered me wrong plenty of times luckly my massage therapist helped me from there awful instructions. S/O to Laura Gomez her ig is @lalisculpts_ in Orlando. Best massage therapist and I've had a few different ones but anyways Dr. Harun I love you, thank you.

It was a 5 star I had been with since it opening in 1989 to 2024. I would not be here if it was not for PCP. he was and is amazing person. Problem began when Wellmed purchased the practice. It has been a year since Wellmed corporate dropped all it commercial insurance. I submitted the request in June of 2024 for the complete records. ( I mean everything that was produced or recevied from other offices.) At first I was sent 2 months of files from Versima (they manage the record) I was give a run around no file found, donot have excess to those files, etc for months. I had to reach out to Wellmed corp, then optum and the United Healthcare Group ( parent company) it was close to 8 months before I or my new PCP recevied my files. And even some where missing still. When I contract corporate about it i fid not get an answer back at all 2nd the Wellmed office was to be available to use to ask question until January 1 2025.
