Writing this a few years later, as I am now with a new dental and orthodontist practice and can tell the difference in service. While the bedside manner is excellent, a lot of mistakes were made here with my treatment plan. I had 4 teeth pulled by a dentist (I believe she no longer works there) in preparation for braces and was in severe pain during. She literally was yanking my teeth out and I could hear cracking. I was sent home with NO medication at all. I called to inquire about some pain meds and was advised to take some over the counter medication. I ended up getting an infection in which they had to do treatment, and they did it for FREE because they knew the dentist messed me up!! I decided to continue with orthodontia here, and truly regret it. While Dr. E is extremely caring and patient, I hated the results of my orthodontia, I had an extreme gum inflammation and the gap in my two front teeth DIDNT close! I was told that it could be due to genetics (some of my family has gaps). I believed that, only to be told my multiple other dentists and orthodontists that isn't true. I wasted a ton of money and time here and ended up having to find a new dentist to have a gingivectomy to fix my gummy smile. The gingivectomy worked WONDERS and the only reason I wasn't devastated by the results I got with advanced dental. I am now in braces AGAIN unfortunately, but this time my care team knows what they are doing. read more

Went here last year for a checkup. He insisted I needed one of my crowns fixed or else it was going to decay. After he fixed it, the tooth was extremely sensitive, and the pain would not go away. When I went back, he insisted that I am grinding my teeth. I do not grind my teeth, and I already have an upper Invisalign retainer to protect my teeth at night anyway. Told him that. He insisted that I need this mouthguard and that other companies make it for more money but he makes it for less. Not the first time he has mentioned that his prices are " lower" than other dentist. Odd. Still told him I didn't need it. Made it anyway, made me pay hundreds of dollars for it. Wasn't even a night guard, it was just a lower Invisalign. Never use it because I don't need it. The pain does not come from that. Insisted that the pain and sensitivity in my tooth from the tooth itself, not the unnecessary work he did. Tooth never had any issues before. Told him I didn't want to have to get a root canal, and he told me that I don't need a root canal, I just need to come in as much as I want to to get desensitizing gel on my tooth. That was about a year ago. My tooth is still sensitive, and I cannot chew on it. I had no issues with it before, and every other dentist that looked at my teeth did not say that I needed to get my crown fixed. Basically, he looks for problems so he can try to fix them and then make you pay even though you tell him no. He also kept insisting that I make a review. I avoided doing so, because I did not have a good time in his office. But here we are. I have never had a dentist try to bleed my wallet dry so much. Needless to say, I have found other help in other places that is much better and doesn't insist on things that aren't true. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I too had issues with them mishandling the billing and giving me surprise charges at my next visit when I had thought my bill was all squared away. If I could do it all again, I would have taken the negative reviews (on Yelp as well as Google) more seriously. Now I go to Dr. Stella Haralampopoulos because that's where my husband goes. Relative to my past and current experience, the quality of care I received at Advanced Dentistry was poor (but since they have many different dentist under one roof, I think that's why the reviews are so polar). I felt like I wasn't listened to, and the work I got done has since needed to be corrected. At first I thought the pain I felt from the work at Advanced Dentistry was just me needing time to heal/ aging (turned 30), but after going to Dr. Stella (who spotted the problem right away) and starting invisalign treatment with Graber and Gyllenhaal Orthodontics, the pain is gone and I'm on the road to recovery. I came here because I had Guardian Dental insurance and this was one of the few places that was IN network with some 5 star reviews (my first few bills were billed as OUT of network, which should have raised some red flags). The work I needed done was quoted to be better than I what I got from my first consultation at an OUT-of-network office elsewhere and Dr. ** was so confident that I put my faith in him. Another thing I was disappointed about was that the molars lacked texture and character (i.e. lack of dental artistry, maybe lack of experience or care), they're super smooth and they're a constant reminder about how I wasn't listened to and properly cared for by a medical professional. My current dentist and orthodontist even commented on their lackluster appearance without my prompting. This dental work also kick started tooth and jaw pain, which I brought up at appointments but he always had some explanation/ excuse and told me to use Sensodyne toothpaste. It wasn't until I left Advanced Dentistry that now my bills are uneventful (thankfully), I'm pain free, and I'm receiving adequate dental care. read more

Went in for a regular teeth cleaning and they did a bunch of other unnecessary things! In short the dentist said that I needed a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning. I tried to opt out of it and he said there is no other choice but to do a deep cleaning. So I agreed. In the middle of my cleaning I had to sign a consent form which was laminated I assume so they can use it over and over again. Once my deep cleaning was done, I'm told my wisdom tooth is loose and it needs to come out right away. My last dentist assured me there were no problems with my wisdom teeth so this was a huge surprise to me. The dentist kept saying it was a big "defect" when I asked why was it such a problem, he said he's only trying to help me and there are nothing but good reviews for the office, so for some odd reason I agreed to get my tooth pulled, right there and then! Of course as he's pulling my tooth he found apparently 4 cavities (I've had only one cavity my entire life)! So after my tooth is pulled, I'm asked again to sign a consent form, although the procedure was already done! Then he starts filling a cavity. When he's done with this cavity he is gone! No sight of him. No direction on how to take care of all the crap he did to my mouth, no advice - NOTHING!! The hygienist that was with him said I'd have to eat soft food for two weeks and sent me on my way. Save yourself, find another place! read more

Yelp needs to do this office more justice and show ALL the 5 star reviews because Dr. Sanei is the best dentist in Morton Grove. I have been to multiple locations in the neighborhood that have tried to scam me out of my money and give me unecessary treatment. I am a very anxious person when it comes to dental work and Dr. Sanei is very understanding and reassured me even when I have crazy questions. The previous dentist I went to told me I needed all this work done but when I went to Dr. Sanei he only told me what I truly needed which was a night guard he explained to me that's why I was having tooth pain after looking at my X Rays. He even gave me my night guard the same day I did the molding. The staff here is amazing and they take great care of you. This place is ethical and only wants the best for their patients and they have very reasonable prices. I thought I had a root canal and all these problems with my wisdom tooth but Dr. Sanei checked it out and reassured me that I am okay. Be careful when looking for dentists because they will try to get your money by scaring you telling you that you need all this unnecessary treatment. Dr. Sanei is honest and ethical and I appreciate him so much. I'm not the most confident with my teeth because I have crowded teeth but he is the doctor that I want to fix it. Dr. Sanei makes me feel more secure and confident within myself and he's only going to continue so by fixing more of my dental problems. I am now going to this place permanently and sending my family here as well. He has also done a lot of my friends root canals which have been super successful. I called yesterday to make an appointment, they made an appointment for me next day (that was today). All staff they are very friendly and nice. Doctor Behzad Sanei take care of me, the took X-ray and said I need to remove my 4 wisdom teeth, he recommend to take two of them today, so we did. My son underwent orthodontic treatment at this place. We made our last payment / visit in December 2019. By summer 2020 our regular dentist informed us that my son's front teeth are wiggling in place due to poor bite. We went back to Advanced Dentistry who did not deny the physical symptoms but refused to make any amends. They had the gall to suggest wiggling teeth could be expected because "my son grew up". We ended up paying another $5,200 for a full course of orthodontic treatment elsewhere. This time with no insurance contribution because we had paid Advanced Dentistry our lifetime max. If you consider Advanced Dentistry, think twice. Your kids will grow too, and there comes the chance of wiggling teeth that they offer no warranty for. read more

I've had a broken molar for a while now and I've put it off since I fear needles and drills. I was recommended to see Dr. Sanei by a friend. Taking the first set and setting up the appointment was a big step for me. They were able to schedule me in for Saturday which worked out perfectly. During my appointment, Dr. Sanei was able to fix my broken tooth. My palms were sweating and I was so tense since I knew I would be getting a shot. To my surprise, I did NOT feel the shot! He walked me through the process and made sure I couldn't feel anything. He was patient with me and did not rush to fix my tooth. I felt such a great relief to know I was in good hands! read more

The receptionist lady always talk rude and create tricks to convince the patient he/she needs unnecessary treatment just to collect the money from insurance company and the patient as well. She forced the patient to pay off before the treatment actually given based on a hypothetical bill. Totally ridiculous!! I recommend everyone to stay away from this clinic. Bait and Switch! Beware! I've been coming here for over 2 years. Over that time, I didn't get anything major done. Just the routine cleanings, some cavities, but nothing more. Then last year on OCT 19, 2017, I got 2 wisdom teeth removed. They quoted for the procedure for $286 which I paid that day. Then on Oct 26, 2018, over a year later, I get a bill from them for another $202 for the wisdom teeth extractions. When I asked an explanation, they told the initial bill was an estimate and sometimes they have adjust the bill afterwards. But this was over a year later??? why wasn't I notified sooner for this outstanding bill?? and what kind of estimate is off by more than 70%? Coincidentally, I told them a week ago that I will be stop using their office because they tried to charge me $50 for re-scheduling an appointment. I had the annual cleaning scheduled for OCT 24, 2018. But on that day my 1.5 year old daughter woke up with a fever and couldn't go to daycare. So I called to reschedule the appointment for 2 weeks later but they said there is a $50 for late cancellation fee. I am a mother with a young toddler. I can't use a dentist that will charge me $50 when I have to re-schedule my appointments. So I told them this will be the last time I will be using them. And now I receive this bill in the mail. This has to the most obnoxious fraudulent charge I've ever received. read more
