I do work on my own vehicle and I can often diagnose what work has to be done. I asked for the replacement of two o-rings. The mechanic inspected the area in question and cleaned the area explaining it would be wise to wait and see if this was in fact the problem. Two days went by and it turns out I was mistaken. After having a stubborn check engine light that would never turn off, My mechanic told me to go to a muffler shop and get it checked out. After their diagnostics it was determined I needed a new catalytic converter. I also purchased a new muffler and they installed it for me. A total waste of my time. I Called them on a Thursday to ask if they did custom exhaust work, they said yes. I told them I wanted to come in on Saturday and asked their hours. They asked what I wanted done and I explained it to them. They said "Sure, no problem, we can get whatever parts you need from our supplier right down the street, come on in." 2 Days later, it's Saturday. They open at 8am and I pull in at 7:55. I tell the guy behind the counter what I am there for and he basically told me "We can't do that today because we don't have the part, you will have to come back during the week" I explained that I was told on the phone that we could get the needed parts from the supplier down the street, and that this is the only day that I am able to do it. So then I asked him what If I found the part and came back with it. He tells me "well I can't have guys working on your car because we will lose money on that job......WHAT!? At this point I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight zone. I wasn't looking for free work, so why would he lose money to do to my car what they told me on the phone was not a problem?!? I asked why was told that it would be no issue on the phone and he really didn't have an answer, he just said he was sorry. It was a bizarre experience and I still don't really know what is going on with this place. If they had just told me the real deal on the phone, I would have tried to schedule somewhere else to do the work. But I got up early, drove all the way down there just to be dismissed as if they didn't want my business. I am in sales for a living and relate to basically all types of personalities, but this guy still has me scratching my head over what transpired. I don't get it..... Apparently despite saying it saying it on their sign and being told verbally on the phone that the are a custom exhaust shop, they don't really want to do that type of work? read more

Highly recommend these guys. a few months ago they cut and welded a new flange connecter on the exhaust on my '85 chevy c10, connected headers to cat. They did a beautiful job. Buddy of mine also got his cat installed on his astro, beautiful welding job. Priced very reasonable, And quick! Also just went in and Lou remembered me and helped bend a fuel line for me. I just realized as I was picking up my car from AMB today that I have been going to them for over 15 years. They are that good at what they do and how they treat their customers. I have never doubted their recommendations and the health of all my past and present cars attest to that. I use them for simple oil changes to major car repairs. I only get my tires done by them.
