My doctor recommend an option for Physical Therapy to ease back into exercise and to make sure that I protected my repair since it can take almost a year to fully heal. I was recommend to this location by a friend of mine who had a similar injury. When I initially called Dunn and Associates I was greeted by a receptionist that was very friendly but not informative. I kept asking questions like what to expect, what to wear, and how much my insurance would cover for the service. Even though I gave my insurance information over the phone and describe my reasons for physical therapy, I was told that all information would be addressed in my initial consultation. When I arrived for my initial consultation I was told it was actually my first therapy visit and I would have to pay my copay. I was extremely put off by this, because I made the appointment before work and was dressed in a skirt and office jacket. I was not prepared to pay or participate in a session. I even commented to receptionist that when I made the reservation over the phone she should have instructed me on what to bring and that money would be due. It was not that I didn't expect a cost, but I would have like to known the price so I could save my money or even postpone my first appointment so I could pay at time of service if the amount would have been substantial. I have had two physical therapy sessions so far. Most of the therapy is related to Pilates and protecting the core. I receive very detailed instructions and handouts for me to practice moves at home. They constantly ask me to have weights and a small ball at home, but I keep telling them they should offer this as apart of their rehab service since it is required for my at home therapy routine. I have seen some improvements with movements and think that the therapy is really helping me in getting back to shape. I am still bothered that this office just seems generally disorganized when I arrive and on communicating what is expected about the therapy process. I could not imagine being older and not understanding what was needed to get the best results from my therapy. I am happy with the Physical Therapist I have, but feel like all the non medical staff needs to learn more about the business to have better customer service. Few more weeks and I trade this office for my Gym.

When I first came to Dr. Wolter, I was having so many back flare-ups that I was missing work. I…read morehave OA, PsA, and DDD, and my knees had been locked at 45 and 35 degrees for years. I couldn't walk far without needing to sit down, I often caught myself holding my breath because of the pain, and I waddled when I walked, even with a cane. Fairly quickly, my flare-ups became less intense and much less frequent. After a couple of months of twice-weekly treatments, I was moving noticeably better. I no longer waddled, I stopped holding my breath from pain, and my knees began to regain mobility, even though Dr. Wolter told me from the start that he probably wouldn't be able to do much for them. Today, my right knee has fully unlocked and my left knee has improved by about 95%. My overall pain has been drastically reduced. I no longer need muscle relaxers, and I can work more than eight hours and still feel fine afterward. I receive knee injections every three months, and the last two weeks before each injection are usually very painful. This most recent cycle was much more manageable, and I was able to control the discomfort with topical treatments. One unexpected benefit was that my GP measured me and found that I had regained 1.2 inches of height!!!!!! The ladies at the front desk are always friendly, helpful, and efficient. I'm never made to feel rushed, yet I'm usually in and out quickly. One feature I especially appreciate is the treatment table. Instead of having to painfully climb onto an elevated table, you simply walk up to it while it's level, and the doctor slowly positions it for treatment. Dr. Wolter is a rock star. His practice combines exceptional knowledge and care with genuine friendliness and professionalism. If you're dealing with any chronic pain, I highly recommend giving Dr. Wolter a visit.
