We were waiting in the main waiting room worst mistake ever the receptionists 3/4 are so rude my guess is they are good friends they were talking loud, about their personal lifes it was too much to listen to when the tv is loud they are loud it was frustrating. As some reviews mention, there can be a wait--but my friends and I don't mind since we plan ahead. While waiting, tests are usually completed before seeing the doctor, which makes good use of the time. Finally I was so happy I've got authorization for (cataract removal ) from my health insurance after long time, i'm going to see an Advanced Eye Specialist (Alex Yelenskiy). They gave me an appointment in 3 weeks after i called for an appoinment... After three long hours waiting to see a real eye doctor, i was so disappointed when I realized that Advanced Eye Specialist isn't that Advanced .... He said a bunch of nonsense and gave me negative vibe. everybody knows cataract surgery is very simple and common Nowadays but he tries to make it complicated . I left his office without asking for another appointment or follow up and i will never go back there again.... I hope in the soon future , insurance company send investigator to check them up....insurance company give them a lots of patients like me but they don't do the job right . 20 appointment for one hour.... absolutely ridiculous, unfair.... If you have plans after your eye doctor appointment you might as well cancel them because you won't make it out in time. They schedule your appointment for "9am" but you don't end up seeing the eye doctor until 2-3pm when he actually arrives. You will literally spend your entire day there. read more

If you need to see Dr. Katarina, I recommend finding another doctor as you will most likely be waiting a long time. I've had 2 appointments with her * had to wait an hour to see her. For my last appointment I waited almost an hour & was told she had an emergency & would be in the office in a few minutes but that she had 4 or 5 patients ahead of me. The office was not that busy when I came for my appt. I was called in after 15 mins. They put me in a second room to be checked by a tech. After that I was transferred to a second waiting room, I waited for an hour and a half . Until I asked for the attention of the attendant " how much longer" then she asked for my name , then within 2 mins. The Dr. came in , then checked me for 10 mins. And released me. They should change the system of taking patients. They take too much patients than they can handle. Waiting for 1 1/2 plus 15 mins. At the reception room is too much/ un acceptable. Some people need to go back to work or pick up their kids , etc. The first visit ( last year) I waited 2-3 hours. The staff and the Dr. is okay. I just looked over some of the old reviews and I am shocked. Yes his office is crowded yes you have to wait a little bit. But I had the greatest experience with him than any doctor in a long time. He explained everything very thoroughly to me, took many tests to make sure that the procedure he was going to do is something I really needed. I have no complaints his staff was lovely, they were all very friendly. Even when I went in on my follow-up appointments all the girls that hello to me even if they weren't helping me. I first met Dr. Logani on a Friday afternoon for a possible detached retina. After photos and examining my eye, he said I have some good news and some bad. Witch one do you want first? So, I said let's start with the bad. He then told me that I had a choroidal melanoma and the statistics said that I have 5 to 7 years to live. Wow! What's the good news...He then told me that he was one of a handful of doctors, in the world, that could kill the tumor with radiation using a Gama Knife procedure. He had just come back from Europe studying the procedure and he could render the tumor benign. There was a possibility that we could save my eye as well. I then became the first person, in the United States, to have it done. Bottom line...he saved my life and that was 19 years ago. Today, he is saving the vision in the one eye I have left. I truly believe that he is one of the most state-of-the-art ophthalmologists in the world. His practice has the most up to date diagnostic and treatment instruments / equipment available. The staff is very efficient, well trained, friendly and kind. Truly a testimony to his outstanding commitment to his chosen discipline and practice. When I arrived the waiting room was so full that I had to wait outside of the office, we waited for 2 hrs plus just to get called in and have the vitals taken. After that they brought me into another waiting room and I saw that it was the same people that I had just seen outside. I asked if they had been seen and they said they hadn't that they were waiting to be called. I also came to find out that there was 3 other people scheduled at the same time that I was. Who does that?! Why on earth would they schedule people at the same time when they clearly know we aren't all going to be seen at the same time. I've been here since 3 and it is now 6 and I am still waiting. So before anyone decides to come here dont!! Please don't come here. Worst service ever!!! read more

Just EXCELLENT! Everyone here is SUPER FRIENDLY and knowledgeable! You can ask as many questions as you have and always get a complete, informative, and polite answer rather than a rude one that makes you feel embarrassed to ask your important questions and discuss concerns. I had surgery done and my stress level was significantly lowered after a few consultations with Dr. Logani before the procedure. Everyone here is so knowledgeable, polite, and helpful-- from the multilingual receptionists and staff to the doctors and specialists. We need more people like this in today's world, especially in health and medicine. I will definitely keep coming back here from now on. If you're anxious, nervous, overwhelmed, confused, etc. about your eye health, then this is the place to go! The service here was shockingly poor. I came here as a referral from Northridge LensCrafters and doubt I'll go back to either their facility or this one after my experience. I'm a young man in good health but my optometrist recommended additional testing at this center for possible glaucoma. The original doctor she referred me to recently left, so I was scheduled with Dr. logani instead. The waiting room was packed on both of my two visits. Though I'm glad they serve ESL patients, there is no reason that a routine exam took over two hours. The first exam, mind you, added nothing that my original eye exam did not cover, and I had to be scheduled for two additional meetings before the actual testing for which I came could begin. I frequently had to repeat myself to receptionists and technicians, my name was frequently mispronounced (often by the same person moments ago) and I was blinded by light by a new technician who took twice as many optical images as she needed to. While Dr. Logani himself seems competent and capable, I had a very poor experience with the rest of his staff. After two visits I won't be back. Note: I also had the allergy test other reviewers mentioned and noticed many other patients getting the same. I'm not sure if this is malpractice or just shows the commonality of allergies, but it's a bit suspicious. Wish I heeded Yelp reviews before coming! read more

I was referred to Dr. Logani after my eye doctor detected 6 small holes in my retina. I was able to get an appointment fast, but waited 2 hours to see the doctor. The waiting room was packed. After a painful and what I'm assuming a through sure exam he said I was fine, BUT I did have severe eye allergies. I've never had eye allergies and my eyes don't itch, water, or are red. I also noticed all the other patients were being scheduled for allergy tests, too. Um, no thanks. I don't have the time or extra money to waste on ridiculous tests. Go somewhere else. I must say that with all the technology gadgets at the medical office, I was very disappointed with my several visits. The most you can get here is a picture of your eye and a big dent in your wallet. On the non-medical side, everything has to be done through a guy named James (he looks like the doctor - may be his brother) who is never available. The front-desk staff try to cover up for his short-comings but they are not doing a good job lying. Call two minutes apart and you will get conflicting responses in the name of policy. Since I have had severe astigmatism my whole life and have been warned that I could have retinal detachments, I dreaded the day that this would happen.  I started seeing floaters & my vision was blurry for longer than an hour.  After seeing my optometrist, he referred me to Dr. Sanjay Logani.  I was told I needed an urgent eye procedure to fix my 4 retinal tears immediately.  If not, I would end up with a retinal detachment.  Without reservation or hesitation on how busy his office was, Dr. Sanjay Logani squeezed me in that same afternoon. He and his staff were quick, efficient, professional, kind and they explained things to me in a way that I knew I was in good hands and my vision was of utmost importance to him and his staff.  The office was busier than I had ever seen a doctors office and even though they were super busy I was treated very well despite the demands of the other patients.  As a matter of fact they stayed late and made sure that my eye was treated properly. All my visits with him required eye dilation and a few hours of my time, yet the long waits were worth it because I knew Dr. Sanjay Logani was going to be thorough and make sure my eye was healing properly. I was referred to Dr. Logani after I had a scratched cornea that was very painful. I'd never been to see an ophthalmologist before and he helped get my eye back in shape. However, then he started scheduling annual follow ups. I've been back I think three times, and each time, I don't see the Dr. for at least 2 hours. They bring you back multiple times to do a quick eye exam, then maybe take some photos of your retinas, etc., then back out to the waiting room to try and make it seem like it's not as long as it is. When the Dr. finally sees you, he studies his iPad and computer screen for a couple minutes, does a quick look at my retinas, then usually says everything is good and sends me on my way for another year. He spends less than 5 minutes literally. My eyesight is terrible, but there's never any discussion about macular degeneration, or anything, not even any questions about how my vision is. I'm really getting the feeling this is now just a factory for the Dr. to bill people's insurance companies as much as they can. They overbook so much which causes the long wait times, and they try to do services that probably aren't necessary. I had just recently become diabetic due to a surgery that removed a good portion of my pancreas. The Dr. then said I needed to do a dye test to check for diabetic retinopathy. That came back negative of no surprise to my endocrinologist who said she wouldn't expect me to have symptoms of that for at least 20 years, but on my last visit to Dr. Logani, they wanted to do the dye test again and I declined. Then on my last visit, while in the waiting room, I heard the receptionist trying to explain to an elderly patient that the Dr. said he had eye allergies and needed to come back for an allergy test the next week. He just couldn't understand what she was talking about. Well, when I finally was in seeing the Dr. for my 5 minutes, guess what? He said I had evidence of eye allergies and I should come back for a quick allergy test the next week to see what I'm allergic to. He asked if I was experiencing any redness, or irritation in my eyes, and I said no. I've had absolutely no symptoms of anything. He still said I should come back for the allergy test. That was kind of it for me. I don't think I'll be going back any more. The Dr. is very nice, but I just don't have a good feeling going there from now on. It just seems like it's wasting 2+ hours of my day and my insurance company is getting billed for who knows how much. read more

This is the most UN-PROFESSIONAL MAN I HAVE EVER MET. Your appointment time means nothing to him. While you arrived on time at 9:30 am, he is performing eye surgery at Northridge Hospital. His arrival time at the office is 12:00pm. His excuse, emergency arose. He has done this to me 3 times!! Third times a charm! Why doesn't he have his staff give us the choice of either waiting or rescheduling. The front waiting room is 2 people deep and the back waiting room has 12-15 additional people waiting! We get shuffled around like a herd of cattle or should I say dollar signs! Some of these patients have waited in the boiling sun to catch a bus, hoping that they won't be late for their appointment. Meanwhile, Logani is sitting in an air conditioned hospital "humming while he performs surgery". He does this EVERY TIME he is here in the valley. I wonder how long his other patients in Beverly Hills wait. Most of his patients here in his valley office are low income immigrants, and put up with his actions. I am appalled that he would squeeze so many patients into one day. Goes to show, all he is interested in is the mighty dollar. Each head is a dollar sign to him. If you come to see him as a patient, pack a lunch and prepare to sit for over 3 hours. Which is unnessesary!!! read more
